Pears made from Scraps

Closeup of  collaged pears.. read to find out how to create these!
I love creating fun projects... I have had some trouble recently with my internet connections... actually it is on going ... dial up!!!  Anyway... the last time I lost my e-mail program and so I am using Outlook... and there is a task sheet there... so I have been using that... trying to keep myself on track of things I want to do... one of them was to create Tissue paper flowers which I did this morning... and now I am doing another one... that is to use scraps and then cut out a shape...
Okay... let me go a little bit slower... I have bins of scraps... and I know you do too.. they are perfectly good, but just not the right size, or you forgot to look in there when you were making that last project etc etc.... right??? Well you take out a bunch of them... sort of all the same color tone... and rip and tear them into pieces and then glue them onto a sheet of paper... then you use them like you would a large piece of Designer paper...So I cut out these great pears... using my Spellbinder dies!!!!  And then used a ink pad (archival coffeee by Ranger) on the edges...
Which I also used on the printed square right behine the pears...

Okay... another fun thing I did... I made a block print of a leaf... this one is smaller than the one I did the other day.. it is about 1 inch wide and about 1.5 inches long... it took me all of about 3 minutes to make... using this pink sheet of rubber... that you carve out... so easy and you get what you desire really quickly... if you want more details etc... let me know...
So then I used a Versa Mark Champagne pad and printed on this really pretty green paper... and also cut out a few extra to use around the design...

Now you know the details... now you need to know that this card is for three challenges...

The First one is for the Waltzing Mouse Sketch challenge...  my first one for this challenge also... I have to get the blinkie etc... but if you want more details, please let me know and I will e-mail them to you.. okay...

Here is the sketch that I used...

Pretty straight forward and simple... but I have a hard time with simple and plain..... very difficult for me... I always want to add more and more... so I have to stop after a while and call it done!!!

The other Challenge this is for is Incy Wincy ... and today they asked that you create a card with buttons and bow... so if you look on the square behind the pears there are four little red buttons... they are brads... and so cute... love them.

Another challenge... is Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge... and for this one ... the hardest type of challenge for me... CLEAN & SIMPLE... I hope that this passes for that... It's about as simple as I get... LOL..

Finished card

Okay... so what do you think??? Is it Clean and Simple??

It was sort of simple as I have taught a lot of crafts over the years... and to a lot of kids and they love to make collages like this with paper from Magazines... so that is easy... or simple... and the block print... you could use a potato to create this leaf also... and that is simple...
So I guess it is simple... and clean... !!! Finally a Clean & Simple card!!!!

Thanks for taking a look at my card...
Hope you have had a fun day.. .
I have dinner cooking...
Sweet Potatoes French Fries  with Rosemary...
Buffalo Burgers cooked on the grill, and coleslaw and a tossed salad... which has raw okra and peppers in it.. yummmm  we really love to eat more raw foods than cooked... so much better for your health... and they taste so good when they come right out of the garden... which ours all do... Organic too!!! Am I spoiled??? You bet I am... and I love it.. LOL...

Have  a fun creative time ... play a little and try out these two SIMPLE projects...
See you tomorrow... lots more to do again tmorrow... more challenges and the first one will be up at 8AM... see you then... Thanks for stopping by... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
