A RE DO... and also a NEW Panel...

Sometimes I wonder if my brain is still inside my head??? but then I do something really silly and look and can't figure out why I did that... so at the end of this posting you will see what I am talking about...

First off... I saw this really beautiful piece of art work on CC3 #4 challenge... it was so very wonderful... all these butterflies and monotones... just really what I love to create...  I fell in love with it and read all she had to say and then clicked on a link... and I was in another reality... I was at A VINTAGE JOURNEY....  I fell in love with all that was on the page... so many PRETTIES... eye candy plus...  you will Alison's Butterflies there...  you can't miss it...

Anyway.. .I entered the piece that I had done for the Compendium of Curiosities 3 #4 challenge... as it the new challenge was all about wings and things...

After I did it, I hung up the piece on the wall and started to look at it... and didn't like it... it wasn't finished... so I took it down and laid it on the worktable... but then I felt compelled to create another piece for this group...  so I did... this is what I came up with...

This is also on a piece of corrugated box top... LOL... love these for larger pieces...

Okay... I used Victorian Velvet and Mustard Seed to get these yummy colors started.. you will see the background next...

But this is the finished piece...

I love using a few colors and allowing them to create the others...  so I used Victorian Velvet and Mustard Seed... and oh I did add some Peeled Paint on the leaf stencil...  Love the way that this came out...  lots of design...

A few areas I stamped using Dried Marigold and rusty Hinge to create a contrast...  birds in flight...  Lots of stenciling going on...

Since this is all about things and wings... I had to add some birds on things...  so I used the rub ons and a enameled tag... love creating these...  so much fun...

Generally speaking if things don't get put away, I use them... over and over... I had made a tag using the Queen Anne's lace a few days ago... and so it got used again.. LOL... along with a few other ideology purchases... love them all...

and a secret KEY...

Layers are starting to really add up here... and I love the look I am getting... I am sort of trying to take pictures as I go with this one... but I all of a sudden forget and have to back tract... sorry... having fun sometimes leads to confusion when trying to show the end results...

I had cut out a pile of roses and the other day had colored them all the different shades of pinks, reds, even some blues... and had them all laying on my inking area... so some of them came over to the other table to take part in this piece... I used 6 roses... as 6 is my favorite number...

Oh I got so excited about using these great rub ons... and had to use more and more all over the piece... they are instant chit chat... love them...  so my butterfly which came out of the wall flower paper book of Tim's  The butterfly is traveling with it's HEART...  and requests that you do the same...

Do you ever listen to the birds in the course of a day... I hear them all day long... love them all.. but they all have a different story to tell...  as do we...  love them all...

Always look for the good...  seek the good in all ...

another positive .... life observations... do you observe things around you... I bet you do more than you realize...  make note of the new things... and the pretty and wonderful things...  things that FLY... and all that kind of thing...

You are one of a kind... so is your work... no one else can create the same as you do...  NO ONE... so you are truly one of a kind... remember that...

I wanted my bird to be really outstanding.. I generally have a hard time with the silver pieces getting them to look the way I want them too... with this bird I used my solutions pen and alcohol inks and painted this little one sunshine yellow and RAISIN...  love it... it really looks pretty in real life... couldn't get a really good color picture for you... sorry about that...

The completed piece...

Top half....

Lower half...

I put a big ole bow on this... with some netting that was hanging around the work table from another tag... and it needed to GO...

More flowers,

This is going to be hung on the wall... so I used a key plate and took some of the dyed ribbon and it will stay up for a long time...

Now here is the RE DO...  I used some of Tim's Frosted film... and put it on Cleary Art from Wendy Vecchi... and then was able to use my solutions pen and color this beautiful dragonfly the way I wanted it to look... love it...

A little liquid pearl for the eyes... and done...

I don't know what her name is yet... but it will be beautiful... as she is my favorite one so far...

Okay... here is the piece that needed some HELP... so I added a cone of sheet music... some coffee filter flowers, using the tattered floral die cut... which I LOVE... and then added my sweet dragonfly...  love it now... it is finished...

Do you agree.???? or does it need something else... be honest... as that is the only way I learn...  we all need to be honest about things...  it really does help...

I love her shining bright eyes... so very alive...

Finally completed....

Thanks for all your comments... and also thanks to Alison for putting her piece into the CC3 challenge... as I might never have found this group of talented ladies...

Please go there and take a look at their lovely work.... oh I really should say PLAY pieces...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today and hope to see you tomorrow with Sunday Stamper... it is Father's Day here in this country... so going to be with my sweet hubby most of the day... love him dearly...

Thanks again...
Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

GLITTER plus....

So very many things have been happening this week... and all of them are wonderful.  I started a class on Journals... making one from 100% white paper... oh you guessed already...  YIKES... I guess I am a little bit to transparent...  but anyway... I have been working on this journal for a while now... and teaching a class brings it even closer to my heart...

So it was sitting on my workbench this morning as I worked on it yesterday...  getting interior pages in place, pockets worked on etc...  I will show you different things in this book as I work on it.... which will be a process..... I love things that I can pull out and work on them for a while and then finish at a later date...

I also have been working on more flowers... my favorite item to play with and create for different challenges, projects and also classes... I have a favorite class I teach with how to make a box and then teach how to make 12 different flowers...  a fun class... and everyone leaves the class full of ideas and are anxious to make more flowers...

So I wanted to add these two things today HOPEFULLY to the Challenge called...

This challenge is held every other Saturday and today is the day... what fun... and all you need is some things to play with...and Tim Holtz's BOOK...  Compendium of Curiosities 3   This book is truly a wonderful book...  all kinds of ideas, and techniques... and today the challenge starts off with GLITTER...  page 56...  so turning to page 56 is where we begin...

Glitter Tim Holtz's way...  Love it...  and it just so happens that I happen to have a FEW of these pretty distress Glitters...  fun and games...  now to work on my journal a little bit more...  combining these two is very SPECIAL to me...  and I really love the way that this book is taking shape...

Okay... get ready... because here it is...

Oh before I forget... please go over to the site...  Click on the above link... and see all the pretties that the CREW have Created this week... it is very difficult to pick the prettiest, best or favorite... as they are truly all wonderful each one being so very different and with much depth and thought... Love this challenge... have I told you that... ????

Pictures... Oh yes... here they are...

I have to tell you that I have just recently been able to get High speed internet... so prior to last month.. .I had never seen a video on line, not been able to get to others blogs, or web sites... seen too many things other than a few small pictures that were shown in different places that I happened to spend the hours downloading...  Pictures .... uploading 8 would take hours... (2 plus) and now 18 pictures takes less than a minute... so I am SPOILED and I am loving this greatly... soooooo

I had not seen these fantastic 'PLASTIC' Flowers that Tim had created using Frosted film and also Wendy Vecchi's  Clearly Art sheets...  Well I fell in love with the flowers... and had to make them... so I got the supplies and am having a fun time making them... all different ways...  I have a huge stack of plastic sheets that I save too... and used them for the butterflies...

The cover of my journal and all the pages are made from 100% white paper that have been INKED... yikes is that a fun thing or what... I have piles of papers that I have put ink too...  and I don't ever have enough of them either...  I then will stamp, stencil, add more inks, more stamping etc... to each sheet...  I love Pearl Dabbers... and think I bought a case last time...  LOL...  love the way it looks... now you see it ... now you don't...  love it..

6... My Favorite number...
Flower My Favorite embellishment...
Colors... Turquoise and Greens... oh wow...

So here are some close ups of the flowers... I really love making these... have to buy a FEW more sheets of Clearly Art and also a couple of rolls of Frosted film... I can see what is going to happen to me...  LOL.. and I LOVE IT..

I used my palette of Alcohol inks and a solution pen to color all these pretties...  and then I used the Glitter technique on page 56... Oh what a pretty flower...

I also cute out some butterflies using a Tim border die cut... and I bent them so that they stood up... and flew over the flowers, 6's and page...  I again used my alcohol inks to create the personality of each butterfly too..  Also used some Rock Candy Glitter on them too...

Since this is a JOURNAL for ME... I had to add a DRAGONFLY... what else would I have...  in solid GOLD...  LOL..

Since my Husband and I own an organic farm, we are aware of many problems that we on earth are facing... one of the major ones is the problem that bees are having right now... we need to protect bees... in all ways...  not to use chemicals in anyway but especially around plants that bees and other insects will be going on... Linda's sweet Hummingbird is even effected by these harsh and horrible chemicals and we need to protect all living critters around us..  thanks for listening to me about this.. I feel very strongly about this and use a lot of bees in my work to remind all about the bees.  thanks for taking time to help protect them also..

Okay... these little flowers around the word SIX...
They are also from recycled things... oh yes... they are felt from my alcohol pads...   small and very pretty... and I cut them up and make flowers, leaves etc from them... adds a fun touch of different materials...  which I really love... you can see the tissue tape peaking thru them...  another product that I have tons of and love using all over things..

I really love the way that you can get these flowers to stand up and talk...  really great.. I also use a large one inch DOT to adhere them to what ever I need to put them onto... they stay forever... I am not afraid of these flowers getting squashed.. as they pop right back up...  so very wonderful about them...

I actually colored these small flowers (the smallest on the Tattered Floral die cut... by Tim... )  with Current Alcohol ink... after I went all the way around each petal, I then filled in the center and it diluted the petal to this pretty pink... or rose color...  similar to Victorian Velvet... my favorite color of the RED/PINK family...

I then was able to use the Victorian Velvet Glitter on these smaller ones... so very pretty...

I also used my alcohol inks to color the large brad and then add detailed dots for stamen...  love it...

I just might pop the number 6 and the work 6 off of the cover and do something magical with them too...  I feel I have to... this cover will most likely be an on going project for a while... so when it is all done.. .I will share it with you...

I hope that you have enjoyed seeing all these pictures... I am just so happy that I can take these and put them all into my blog in such a short period of time... so happy about that...

I hope that you will join in on this challenge... have a happy and great week-end... have also a VERY HAPPY MOTHERS Day to YOU... Every one of us has to celebrate Mothers day... as we all have or have had Mom's ...  So happy Mother's Day to one and all..

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and hope you will come back again for another visit soon..

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Memories

Today is the day of the challenge for Sunday Stamper... which takes place of course on your computer... but the person behind all this challenge is Hels Sheridan from UK...  a very funny and loving person...

Well... I have to tell you a short story first... since I have been on line, (approx. 10 years now..)  I have been on DIAL UP... which if you don't know what that is, feel very blessed in all ways... it is where you have very little options and they are all very
S    L    O   W
but it was the only way I could get onto the internet... so I choose it... LOL... what else is there???

Okay... so I went down to get my computer up dated since it was 4 years old... I wanted to get windows 7 on it... so I could use both my computers the same...  LOL... my desk top (the 4 year old one) was unable to be changed over, as I would loose all my art programs in it...  and so I decided to keep that... and also if I kelp that computer as it was, it wasn't going to be able to stay on line after April 8th... due to the inability to talk to the dial up... so I had to think about what to do... all these other programs that every one had were not available around here... but finally after talking to one of our neighbors, we found out about a company that had satellite service that was available in the mountains...  so now I have
HIGH SPEED INTERNET

and I am so very happy.... I love it... I was having trouble getting a picture up on line... it would take about 1 hour to get ONE small picture up... and then the line would disconnect from what ever... now I can get 7-8 large pictures up in a minute or less... and I am able to join back into my favorite groups... become social on Facebook and see Pinterest for the first time ever... and also run all my blogs and classes... so I am loving this in so many ways...

So now here is another challenge... ( the first I did was Tim's Tag... )...  had to try that one again too... and also the new challenge starting on Saturday over at Linda Ledbetters... better go check that out if you haven't...  Linda and a whole CREW of really GREAT gals are all going to be giving challenges out every other week... what fun is that going to be...  They will be using Tim's newest book... Compendium of Curiosities #3...  yikes... love them all.. they are a must for any one really interested in learning new and exciting things...

Okay... enough words .... now for my creation...

Hels Challenge today was to use a technique by the famous WENDY Vecchi.... and also the theme of Memories are made of this....  what fun is that...

Again.. I have a story...

Every year in the winter months we decide what we are going to plant on the farm.... (we have an organic farm... with chickens and lots of veggies... )

So about three years ago we planted WATERMELONs... which I happen to LOVE...  These were Orange fruit on the inside and very very sweet.... called Orangelo...  anyway... they started to grow and grow and all of a sudden Glenn told me that we had about 60 or so watermelons about the size of a basket ball... (this variety grows ROUND)   so we started to eat them... we love them for breakfast.. so each morning Glenn would bring over one for us enjoy... all of a sudden... he noticed that they had small holes in each one... like a deer took a polite little nibble out of each one of the melons...  (we have way too many deer around our farm... )

Oh these melons were so very delicious.... and they were being eaten by the DEER????!!!!   Well this was going to have to STOP...  Glenn brought over a few to show me... and I said to him... these are not from DEER... that is from a BIRD.... a CROW.... or many CROWS.....  And so we went out of the house and all the crows started to scream... warning the ones that were eating the watermelon to GET OUT OF THE GARDEN... the human is coming back again...  LOL... they would do that everytime he would start to walk over there...  he finally had to pull all the plants up and let them finish growing in the shed on the vines with no soil etc... which only lasted a few days... and then we had to put them in the big refrig... they were delicious... but we lost a lot of them... so this tag is all about the crow and the WATERMELONS which are represented by all the roses on this slim long tag...

Okay... I have a confession... I didn't have any other special Ranger paper left... boo hoo... so I had to use a piece of Glossy paper.. which really didn't work as well...  but I had fun with the background anyway...

I used two of the newest colors of Wendy's.... Fern and Forget me Not...  love them both..  actually I love them all... I happen to really enjoy the intensity of the Archival line...  really wonderful for fabrics too...

Anyway...  after creating the background... I had to STENCIL...

I happen to LOVE the dabber with the PEARL in it...  if I don't have 5-6 of  them on hand I feel lost...  it is so wonderful to use...  I never remember to clean out the tops.. .so I use a blending tool with a foam pad and have a blast...  here you can see the pearl used...

AND HERE too...

Here I used citrus up on the top right corner...  and some BLACK...

You can see more here... but the area above the crow... not so well..  but it is used there... and that is the beauty of this color... now you see it... now you don't...

I used a wonderful Tim Stamp...  for the saying...

I even used some other things like Viva Inka Gold and I used some of the copper and gold on the background and also stenciled with it...  so much fun on a piece of paper that was only 3x8.5 inches...

BUT THEN... I had to make some roses which were to represent the watermelons...

So using my Tattered Pinecone die... I created some roses... I made a few using the whole rose... but then I also used one whole rose to make two roses...  like little buds...  added some greens, and some leaves... and also used Tim's new Honeycomb die.. .(love that one too... )

and used the Tissue Wrap to make a few smaller flowers...

But I have to tell you... that they just didn't look the way I wanted them to look... so I heated up the old MELT POT... and dipped them in for a nice glossy look.... they actually look like they are porcelain...  love it...

Before I let them dry.. I added some Rock Candy Glitter... oh so much fun...  just a littlebit.... as if I added too much.. it would change the vibrant color of the roses...

Here is the final TAG...  or small picture...  not really sure where I will put this... or what I will do with it... but it will have a home of some kind...

Close up of the tissue wrap flowers made with the dictionary paper... and dipped into the Melt pot...  with a thick UTEE...

Also a lovely piece of jute for the bow...

If you look real close you will see the glitter on the roses...

Here you will be able to see it even better...

ANYWAY.... I did have a lovely time making this... but I also had a nice time on the deck... visited with my sweet hubby... talked to both our kids today... and enjoy the day 100% plus...

Hope YOU did too...

I would love to see others join in on the fun challenge every week...  it is so much fun to see what others create... I now can go around and visit other sites too... it use to take me so long to get onto a blog that I really lost interest in blogging all together... and finally cound't even get onto my own blog...  now I am here in full force...  and ready to PLAY plus...

Have a great day today... enjoy it to the fullest... and CREATE something wonderful for YOU...

Love, Light and Peace.... Bonnie
