Kaleidescope of Colour

Oh the Challenge at Simon Says Stamp and Show was right in the direction that I needed to play in today... I am working on another collection of flowers for Pretties by Bonnie and wanted to play with the flowers I had drawn... so here are a few of them...

I also have had the desire to play with colors that have not always been my favorite to use... as I have been into blues, purples and pinks... with greens... and as you can see these are reds, yellows, and yes some pinks... but the blues and purples are in the background... so that is good... right???  The back ground!!!!
Wow... I had all these little pieces of paper that I just can't throw away... Twinkling H20's were painted on the papers and they were so pretty...  so I had saved them... and I don't know about you, but I hardly ever remember to use things like that... but today I had figured it out that I wanted to cut them into 1x1 inch squares...  and glued them onto a piece of black 8.5 x 11 bazzill....  and then moved onto the flowers...
Here is a close-up of the squares... I love adding the gold to the paper while it is wet...  and it glistens really wildly on this project... which I think is going to be cover on my latest journal...

I personally dont' put a cover onto a journal until it is all finished... as the cover gets so messed up while I am creating in the journal...  LOL... so I am not totally sure where this is going to be applied yet... but it will make a statement... I love the colors...  and it is a Kaleidoscope of  Colour
 to say the least...
I really let loose with color...
I sprayed some of the flowers with Dyan's Dylusions... Love those powerful little bottles of color... WOW... what a pow of color they create...

I did a class this week-end and was showing the gals to layer the flowers...  and then to add the Liquid Pearls into the center... I hope they are looking at this blog today and will see the center of this flower...  I did layer and also molding the petals of the flowers...
And I did the same with the Black Eyed Susan, which I love so much...
I have tucked flowers into all kinds of places... I even had to take some off... because you wouldn't have been able to see the background...  LOL... and I love the background too..
The leaves are colored with Tim's Distress Markers... and then I used Perfect pearls mist on them... love the shine to the leaves.... leaves talk for the flower at times...  so I wanted them to be really a thing all unto themselves.. but they just help...

I think the flowers in this really are screaming LOVE THESE COLORS...

I love the butterfly... but the flower over take the butterfly... the flowers are so very vibrant and alive...

But that is good... it is the way it is with these flowers..
So do you think that these flowers are bright enough??? I love them...

So alive... and that is the way I feel today...

Thanks so very much for stopping by... and hope that your day is BRIGHT and Happy...  and that no matter what is going on that you can feel that I am sending these happy and loving feelings your WAY.... take it all...

but enjoy every minute of this wonderful Monday...

RED flowers

Happy SUNDAY.... wow... another week has slipped into the past and we are ready to start a NEW week... and it is another full week... plus some good challenges too...

SPEAKING of which... this RED tag is for Hels Sheridan's Sunday Stamper Challenge  ... and the theme... I guess you know it already... RED ....

I very rarely use the color... but I used it on Friday with a tag... and now this one.. and I am liking the color RED again..  it is funny how one goes thru favorite colors and sort of passes by the others...  but I still LOVE my purples, violets, and Greens of all shades... love them... so don't get any funny ideas that I am now in LOVE with red...

The flowers are from my latest collection of Flowers in Pretties by Bonnie  Garden Patch collection

The leaves also are in that collection... a lot of fun things...  and also a grid to print the digital images with on your PC....  so much fun...

I made this tag like a mini journal page... and the message on it was to my sweet hubby... who had dinner waiting for me after a long of teaching gals techniques ....  What a day we had too.... so very much fun..
And they all said that they learned a lot ... I blew a few minds... had their heads swimming with creative ideas and lots to do when they got home...

Everyone is hoping for another class of more things to learn... so some time soon I will get that done... and set a date...
This tag was a lot of fun... and the colors really are growing on me...

So Hels... I hope this is RED enough for this challenge... LOL...  you are always such a fun person... and I had to do a FUN tag for this one...

Hope you all have a FUN Sunday...  enjoy yourself...
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit...

More Roses

I love this paper by Graphic 45... so very pretty... and so I colored it to match this pretty little rose I made... but it just didn't look right on the card... so I just put it by the card.. LOL...

Sometimes you just have to go with the flow of things and this was one of those times...

Well I also wanted to put this little white square
in the card.... so I slipped it into the card...

A surprise when you open the card...

I fussy cut one of the other roses out and used a white gel pen on the center of the flower...

The back ground paper was on my work desk... a piece of glossy paper that I had done a long time ago...
As you can see I was having fun with this little white pop up 'frames' ... I am going to show how to create them in a class today... so I can't take mush more time...  as I have to finish getting things done around here... pack up and GO....

I know I am going to have a FUN day today... hope you do too...

And Thanks for taking your time to stop by for a visit... I really appreciate that greatly... and love all the comments that you leave too...  thanks a million...  See you tomorrow with the Sunday Stamper...

The Snail and the Roses

 FABULOUS FRIDAY!!!

So many days of the weeks are too... but I love Friday... as I love Linda's Challenges...  so alive... thanks Linda...
Studio L3 where she uses
Compendium of Curiosities 2
book by Tim Holtz as the guide to happiness...

This week I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to do the challenge... as I had to finish prepping for a class tomorrow... but I stayed up late last night... and also got up early this morning and got everything ready... still a few more things... but later!!!!!   So I started to get my hands warmed up with a few roses from the Tattered Pine Cone die cut... LOVE it... just bought it... you all know how I LOVE flowers... so I had to have this one...

I took some scraps from my white card stock bin and cut out a few.... and made a few just white... love them... (you will see it in a minute...)  and then started to spray them Dylusion sprays that are so WILD... I love these sprays... !!!  They should have been named differently though... DYNO-MITE DYLUSIONS....  They explode on that paper...Anyway... I was totally warm in seconds... and after about 12 of these beauties I was waiting for Linda to post... Pace... pace.... pace... another hour... pace... pace... (actually my neighbor came over and then I had a phone call.. so the pacing was only mental!!!!  is there such a thing???)

I had all these pretty flowers and hoped that I would be able to get these into the Challenge that Linda was going to put before us to complete...

Okay... I would just figure out how to use some of them... somehow...
pinks, yellows, oranges, purples, blues, reds... more and more... I even tried a MELTED CHOCOLATE one...  yikes... so wild... I love these sprays as they mix wonderfully on the paper .... and sometimes I have even been known to pick up a blending tool and pick the puddles of the dye up and spread it around myself... I love getting into it... no matter how...
 Do I mind inky fingers???
Not...

Love these all..

Pace.... pace.... pace...

I took the white flower and thought I would share these with my class tomorrow...  so here is the white one... with a few lollipop flowers... thanks Sande... and some Pretty by Bonnie leaves...  I am showing how to create this cute little folded paper tomorrow... so the gals will love seeing this too...

Pace... Pace.... Pace....
Maybe I should go look now???

Since I am on Dial up.... it does take a few minutes to connect and then get into the program for seeing everything in the world...

Oh ... it is there... WOW... Marble paper... love creating that kind of paper...  Page 46 of Tim's book... got it...
Play... play.... Play...

Love this... messy hands... inky fingers and
a fun time...
And Oh yes... I am going to use my RED Roses...

Glenn, my sweet hubby of 43 years grows the prettiest roses... and they actually are the old timey roses that SMELL like a ROSE.... Love them... and they are deep RED... oh I have two on the table... so very pretty... so I had to use the RED roses today on my tag...

I also have just finished the book
THE SOUND OF A WILD SNAIL EATING.... by Elizabeth Tova Bailey...  and I had to do a few more snail related things... I have a very deep connection to snails...
Prior to getting my art degree I was only allowed to use a logo for my work... no name... so I used a SNAIL... my connection is profound though as I had to be born from that shell when I graduated and became a person...  wow.... rebirths are so very strong... and so very wonderful...

Doing a journal is a rebirth every day that you create in that book...

Each day it is like being born...
WE had 5 goslings born this week too... Chinese White Snow Geese...  they are so pretty... our watch dogs for the farm...

So I showed a birthing on the tag...  using the shells of a real egg.. (chicken.... but who has to know??? )
I don't know if you can see the beautiful marble paper beneath the stuff on the top... LOL... but it is really pretty...  I used greens, (even though you wouldn't know it... ) and the pink came from stray inks on my work sheet... LOL... but I love it...    I used a very fine black pen to draw the lines around the edge of the tag... and then filled in with my Distress Markers... which I don't know how I ever lived without them...

I used snow cap dapper on the stamp... (Fantastic flourishes )  and love the look of that on top of my marble...  I colored my snail with the Distress Markers too...Love that White marker... how special is that...

I used the markers also to add all the little dots around the outer edges of the tag...

These flowers are so fun... I had to show you the depth of these GREAT little flowers...

The leaves... Pretty by Bonnie...  Hope you will take a look at my new classes that are on line....I have really been busy and having fun is the MAIN GOAL...
for you and ME... .

Thanks for taking a look at my tag... and hope that you have a GREAT day... and a super special week-end...

See you soon... most likely tomorrow... as I have something up for you to see...  I will be working... (having fun... ) at a class...
See you all soon...

Another new on line class

Hope you will take a look and choose which class you desire to take... these can all be taken in the comfort of your home... in your jammies or whatever desired... and at any time...  wow ... what more can you ask for!!!

Anyway... this is the newest class..

 Called Delightfully Delicate

Just go over and take a look at the inside of this card...

I do hope that you are having a wonderful day... I have... now I have to go cook dinner...

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

Little Tin box with what????

At times I really get to be pretty 'cheap' or maybe a better nicer word is 'thrifty' with things...

Well this is almost a 100% recycled items...

The little lace frame, Marie brought to me as a present... and I love it... thanks Marie... I have a few more left... and use them sparingly... they are so sweet...  this one I had to cut to fit onto the box... but I did it... it is one of those little tins that we all seem to collect and reuse in some creative way...This one is going to hold change that seems to collect in the oddest of all places... on my work bench...  LOL.. .

Anyway... can you guess what the flowers are made from...
YEP... you got it... the little felt pads from the blending tool... the ones that you most likely have thrown away... or saved... and not known what to do with them.... well cut out little flowers from them... either free hand like mine, or use a die cut... I added the centers and then a little bright GREEN liquid pearls in that yummy new GREEN..... so very pretty...

Of course the entire tin was also covered in alcohol inks... love those inks... when it is nice out... I use them a lot more... as I always keep the doors open for the fresh clean air to come into the studio... YES...  so perfect...

I might give this away.. .but also might just keep it... it is cute isn't it???
Maybe I should make a few and sell them on my ETSY store... have you been there...??? I do so wish you would take a look and leave a favorite or something...  the name of my store???
what else.. .    Love Light and Peace Bonnie   *(no spaces...all one word.... of course)

Thanks to all you wonderful people who leave me messages all the time... I love each and every one of them... and totally wish I could get to see all that you do... maybe some time soon... Sande and I are working on things so that I can see these pretties too...

Have a fun time... and hope to see you soon...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

New Classes on Line

I think that I am so very excited that I might not be able to correctly write this blog... but I hope you will excuse me on this one...

The reason I am so very excited is that I have finally figured out a way to teach on LINE... and yes I am still on dial up... I have made blogs and you can go on there to learn to your hearts content...  so very easy and I love it... it takes me a long time to up load all the pictures and directions etc... but I know that once you have taken one of the these classes you will be hooked...

At least I hope you will .... LOL...

I have had a lot of fun creating them... and just put up two new ones....

One is one how to make a box... and the other is one flower making... along with tons of digital flowers, greenery and even critters... I so hope you will take a look and see some of the classes that are available to you now... and I will soon have more coming.. the list is HUGE.... so hold on...

Our Earth Mohter needs us...

Last night my husband and I watch a documentary on TV... it was called BAG IT!!! Almost to the verge of depressing... but so true that we had to watch it... the show was basically talking about single use of  plastics... which we Americans really don't watch at all...  when you buy a bottle of soda, and you 'recycle' the bottle... it is turned into something else that is really going to end up in the land fill anyway... so is it really recycled at all????  Other countries will re-use that bottle until it basically is not usable...  again and again... and it will say on the bottle how many times it has been used... where are we in our brains??? We really need to wake up and start to HONOR OUR EARTH....   IN ALL WAYS....
Medical doctors are finding that we as humans have plastics in our bodies because we even use these products that are 'stored' in the plastics... so are some of the sea foods that you eat...... so we really have to jump on this NOW... our kids are coming out with diabetes, ADHD... ADD and so on... all from these plastics...  we need to watch what we buy... and how it 'disposed' of it .... Plastic bags are a huge biggy...  if you can watch this show, which I am sure it will be repeated many times on the documentary channels... watch it... it will amaze you... we need to clean up...

While watching this show, I was sketching... and this MOTHER EARTH appeared...  so I kept her in my sketch book... but then this morning I see that Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge is to do something with a WORD... I had to do this one... I just feel the need to spread the word...  as I also clean up my act a little more than I already live...  and even if only one person listens to what I have written it will be worth it...  I feel very impassioned over this situation that we have helped to create...  we are guilty.. we need to clean up the earth...  and HONOR THE EARTH... not to distroy her... get others to follow through on this too... every day should be EARTH DAY... not just once a year...

Okay... I am off my soap box for now... ??? maybe...

My Earth Mother looks a little toxic... and she is... but her lavender eyes tell it all...
I did add the color this morning... and felt that the lavender was the right color to use...

Anyway... I love these new Distress Pens... I can do so very many things with them... they came in a plastic tube that they will stay in... and when I have to get a new pen.. I will find a way to recycle this old one... believe me I will...

I love this Mother Earth... and even though the challenge is one word... and I used three... I think that the thought is one... HELP!!!

I am going to be cleaning up my act in my studio today... and hope that I can find homes for the things that I need to... I will be recycling and re-using all my plastic bags...  they are going into my car the first thing... and my plastic bag of garbage will be reviewed again to see what else I can get out of there to reuse in another way...  that will be my day today...  and most likely it will continue for a long time... I am trying more every day to HONOR the EARTH and have even stopped driving as much...

Hope you too can Honor the EARTH in some way today and make it continue for a LONG time...  Thanks for stopping by.. and hope to see you tomorrow...

New project underway ! ! !

Happy Sunday Morning...  Happy Challenge for Stamper Sunday.... Thanks Hels for using the theme of SUMMER colors...  I have been using them for a while trying to encourage the warmer air to circulate around the area... it settles for a few days.. then leaves and comes back again... maybe sometime soon it will settle in for a while... we lost a lot of our plants to the chill we had a few weeks ago... now everything has been planted again and hopefully it will be okay...

I started on a new project yesterday...  I was totally frustrated by the fact that my new canon printer is not working again... I am very upset to say the least...  so I started on another project to try and pick my mood up... which it did for a while...  I decided to do a configuration box... but it is configured in a different way entirely... as I have a few extra boxes... and also wanted this one to be in the shape of a bird house...  so we will see how it turns out...
I also decided that I wanted to use a few things from when I was a child... ahem... these are antiques now...  don't like to admit that... but they are...

The plastic is not like it is today at all.. it really looks like ivory...

Anyway I had gotten these three little birds to put onto a shell pocketbook I was making... (with my mom's help)  and wanted these birds... they didn't make it onto the purse at all...  so I have kept them on a shelf or someplace since then...  finally they are standing up and have a home...  each home a little bit different...  this yellow one is so cute...  I put a printed flower in the back of this little box...  along with some bird paper... which I think is from My Minds Eye... but not really sure...
I have bits and pieces of all kinds of things on my work space... and they are sort of all finding homes...  so that it good... this banner is from Graphic 45 paper...  never quite made the last project...

Here is the red bird... so cute... and a tiny little flower... the flowers here are made with the newest flower template of Tim's ....
I have wanted to make a secret little place and so I gathered up some hardware and went to work...

The paper... graphic 45... the hardware Tim's....  the flower is also from the Tims newest flower die ....

Inside... a BEE in a Bottle.. and then some graphic 45 things...  I love the bee in the bottle...  stamped and then inserted into the bottle... so much fun...

There is also a little bottle of screws left over from the hardware hinges... and then a bottle of beads...

I just had to share these with you... the box will take me awhile to make... but I will share it with you as I go along ... and will also share the completed project too..

Hope you have a nice day.... enjoy your day in all ways... and give yourself space to be YOU....  Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and hope to see you tomorrow... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

A Morning Meditation

On this morning I got up a little early, and decided that I would spend the early time playing in my journal and create 'A' page.... well it turned into a few... with lots of good thoughts and lots of yummy colors... I had a really good time... and when finished felt really good... I loved that special time my myself and creating pretties...

So I thought I would share these good feelings with YOU... and hope that you will pick up a journal and start to doodle, create words...  or do anything that you love doing... it is so very good for us...  On this piece of Think Outside the BOX... I love my green markers... so I used four different kinds of markers.. and I think it was about 8 or 9 colors of green....so very much fun...  I totally explored the color GREEN...
Then I had started on this page the night before... but didnt' have time to finish it... but I did this morning... and love the bright colors of those new sprays from Dyan...

Happiness creates a unique color...  Bask in the GLO... all of it too...

Wow... love these new bright colors...
After spraying the page prior... the back side had some bleed thru... so I took advantage of the colors already on the page... and proceeded to doodle, add more colors and have a fun time... as you can see... so many thoughts were now flooding my mind... all wonderful thoughts...  what a wonderful way to start a new day out..
Then.... I fell in love with these colors...  I was having so very much fun... loving the colors... flowers, freedom, time in the early part of the day... and just being...  so these little purple and lavender flowers were born... and then this huge magical flower was flowing out of the 'mark makin' .... so it was a fun time...

I had an art teacher once a long time ago that stated the art we were making was mark making... and the more lines or marks... it showed the interest you had in your piece... and the intent to get across to your viewers that you cared about your work and picture or creations.... so Patti... here's to you.. thanks for these powerful words...

Well that is some way to start a day... and it will be a glorious one for sure...
Hope you can join in on this type of fun, release, enjoyment and calm your mind and enjoy it all... life is a fun ride...
Thanks for stopping by today for a visit... see you tomorrow... and have a good day...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Patina Technique

 This week the challenge

Follow the technique as it's written in A Compendium of Curiosities 2 on page 58 (adding your own special flair, of course!), and clearly state that the technique comes from Tim's book.

So I thought about it for a while and then started to make my paper... I did it the way the book said to do it, but I cheated and added some Copper too... love it...
Generally when I make Patina paper I have a lot of trouble with it and always resort to adding things... LOL.. and I did this time too... I used an 8.5 X11 glossy sheet and I had enough to cover this box...  I did paint the inside of the box...  BLACK... and the reason for that was that I didn't want the paper to go all the way to the edges... I wanted it to look like an inlay of sorts...  because the paper is torn, I had to use a black marker to go over the edges...   I guess it will go into my box of Christmas presents for the coming year... the box is about 3 X 5 inches... and it has that lovely faucet knob on the top... love it...  WOW... had fun with this...

As I was cleaning up, I had a few extra scraps of paper... and I do mean scraps... and so I used the flower die and cut me some flowers out of the scraps... and was going to put them on to the box... but I decided to make a tag instead...

So for the background of the tag, I stamped the leaves (which I made my own stamps for) using olive archival ink... and then clear embossed them... then took the dried up old felt with some alcohol solvent on it... and created the background!!!  LOVE IT... wow.... a new thing to do...  then I used my great gauze stamp... and did the edges...

I hand wrote the sayings...

 JOY IS NOT IN THINGS.....

IT'S  IN    US!!!!

How very true is that...

So I put an extra little black flower behind the stacked patina ones... and then a brad... hammered the brad.. which felt good... and then was DONE!!!!

This box and tag is of course for the Studio L3 challenge...  one of the necessary things to also make sure you do is to link to TIM'S site...   as I have used all of the supplies that he lovingly creates...

Hope you have a wonderful day... and thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit...  see you tomorrow... I hope...

Tote bag

As I promised yesterday... here is what I put all the eggs in... Yes... I told you I made a few of them... I sent them to my Mom... and asked her to give them out to some of the workers and other ladies that live in the Assisted living center.  She will most likely not share them though... as she hoards everything I send to her... LOL.. so funny...  anyway... some way or other everyone will get some of them... she will pass out a few here and there....

The TOTE... isn't that a sweet bag...  I love it... Cheryl came up from Charlotte... and she showed us how to make this really cute tote...  Two pieces of 12 x 12 paper... and of course hers had ribbon woven into the bag... but I didn't have the patience to do that then.. so I punched a Martha Stewart piece of white paper and put that around the bag...  Love it... the bag is really a nice size...  perfect for a birthday present or anykind of fun gift... a little tissue paper and it would be WONDERFUL....

Sande brought the cutest little flowers...  and we all made those too...  I got so caught up in them... that I called my Mom and talked her thru making some...  she is about 85% blind and also 93... and is only allowed blunt scissors due to the lack of vision... but she got one made... amazingly too...  I still can't believe some of the things that she does...  just amazing.

I also made a little tag with one of the flowers on it too... this whole day was just perfect... we all had fun ... all made something really neat... and learned from each other... what could be more perfect...

Marie and April brought techniques... and I shared a few new die cuts... and we all had a blast...

Hope that you have some fun artsy friends that you can share time and ideas with... it is so much fun... love it all...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit...  see ya'll tomorrow...   have a really wonderful day today... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

P.S.    I forgot to mention... My mother loved the eggs... and is going to share a FEW... not all ... with some of the other ladies...  She loved her fun filled box I sent to her... and also  all the new boxes filled with mini 'classes' of things that she can make... which I always try to incorporate into her boxes... she is so alone and so in need of something to do with her hands... so I try to for full that as much as possible...  She loves it all... naturally...
