Leaves and SOUL....

Okay... another day.. another TAG... and this one was done with Tim's new technique...  using Alcohol Inks... not my favorite due to the smell of it... but I love the results...  so I turned the fan on.. and had some fun..

I am also doing this tag for a few other challenges also...

First off... Tim's September Tag of 2014...  Alcohol Ink Technique

Sugar Creek Hollow   Tag You're it...

Kraft Journal...  Anything Goes..

A Vintage Journey  To use a flourish of Tim's...

Inspiration Journal    Fall is in the Air

So here is my TAG...

To see all of the Techniques used on this tag, PLEASE go over to Tim's site and see all the pretties that everyone has made... and also check out the techniques... thanks.. you will enjoy the visit... I know that..

My background didn't come out the way I wanted it to... so I did it again and again... and finally I liked what I saw.. so I went with it..

I stamped this fall wreath on it... as I had a fun idea...

I did all the things that Tim asked for ... and here are my leaves...  I did use a lot of colors... but then added some teakwood around the edges... I wanted them darker so that they would look like leaves...

I had enough paper for 3 and a half leaves.. what ever do you do with half a leaf... oh... you use it... on the edge.. .LOL... I couldn't throw that away... come on...

Some Remnant rubs... and what fun to use them like that...  no thinking ... just used them... love the way it came out too..  a few little birds that I did think thru and cut them apart... and used all over the wreath...

which I finally colored with my alcohol inks and a solvent pen...

I took the other leaf... that wasn't oak and used my solvent pen to remove the colors etc... and added a sentiment....

A DAY IN THE COUNRTY
SOUTHES THE SOUL....

I live in the country ... so I can only image how good it must feel to get into the country...  I love it in the country...

My final tag...  I really love the whole tag... I forgot to tell you.. I used a tree die cut for the branch... and colored it with my solution pen and inks too...

So.. I couldn't stop there... I had to make another one too... so you will just have to look for that one too..

I hope to post it now... but I am getting really sleepy... and it might not happen until tomorrow... have to see... LOL..

Thank You so very much for stopping by for a visit.. I really appreciate your time spent looking at my art... I love creating and love to hear your comments on the direction I am moving...
I cherish each and every one of them... and take them to heart...

Hope you have a wonderful day... evening or time where you are now...  enjoy every minute of it..
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Frilly Hearts in Victorian Velvet

I should have been blogging today... but instead I played all day long... wow... I had a blast and made quite a few things... so many people ask how I get all the things done that I do.. well I dont' stop and share when I should... LOL... I hoard up the projects and then I take pictures of them all... edit the pictures, and then post them all...  wow...

Anyway... a different way... but what the heck... it's my way..

So here is a card... but first off I have to give CREDIT where CREDIT is due..

the other day I was reading this BLOG... and this technique really hit home... as it is always a problem with me... you use this great Texture paste... and then you have to wait for the stuff to dry... well I can't always do that... my mojo is not going to wait for any texture paste to dry...  well PAMELLIA JOHNSON did something really fun and neat... she embossed it when it was wet... LOL.. how simple and how fantastic is that...  so I tried it... and after I did it once I did it a few more times... it really gave the textured paste a HIGH look.. I love it Pamellia... and thanks so very much for this GREAT new speedy experience... we are on the same page girl... love this one...  in my techniques now...

Okay... keeping that in mind I also made this card for a few challenges...

Frilly and Funkie... I did a heart card all in RED... not really vintage or shabby chic... but I got the card done for my son's birthday... but this is the REAL Shabby Chic one...  It's all about hearts this fortnight over there... so get out the hearts and join in...

Craft Hoarders Anonymous   Stop hoarding the flowers and use them on something...  anything... just use them up... NOW... okay... so I used some more...  made from Coffee filters that were sprayed with Distress Inks...  love it...  more flowers used... (You know thought that every time I use some from the drawer ... I have to make more...  policy in this studio... LOL)

And a new challenge...  since I love dragonflies, I had to join this one...  CRAFTING WITH DRAGONFLIES...  The theme this time is Girly and Lacey...  so I think this card fits into all these challenges...

Matching envelope on this one..  from wall paper sample book... thanks to my dear friend Sheila...  love these envelopes... they really as sturdy and lovely...

the card is an easel card also... as you will see in a minute...

I used a slight cream cardstock for this one... and used MS Deep cut border heart punch for the side... and then used the scalloped Spellbinder hearts and ran them thru a swiss dotted embossing folder... used Antique Linen distress stain on everything...  even the ribbons...

See that lovely back ground... go on over to Pamellia's blog and she will give very good directions...  you will love it too.. If you are not familiar with her work... it is wonderfully stunning and so very loving... each piece is really pretty...  100%

I wanted the flowers to be delicate... so I used some from my flower drawer that had been made from dyed coffee filters...  used ones too.. not new ones mind you... USED...

I really needed 7 flowers... and could only find 6... but when I back to the magical drawer where all the flowers live until used... low and behold... another flower.... just perfect for the lower section of my easel card...

The background on this section I used my gothic stencil and some Victorian Velvet on a foam pad... perfect for the look I wanted... muted and soft yet you can see it...

Sweet flowers and a pretty bow made from seam binding...

How sweet is this.. .I would love to receive this card from a friend... so I guess I will have to send it to one...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today...  and I really love it when you stop in for a tea and also leave a comment...  which by the way I cherish them all.. and if you leave a comment on a winning project... I copy them all and it stays with that item... as I really do cherish them all..  thank you so very much.

Hope you have a wonderful day today...
And enjoy each and every second of it...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

It's all about the HEART

It's all about the
HEART...

Okay... it's going to rain in a few minutes and I hope that I am not cut off from getting this up...  it looks like quite a storm...

I had a time with this challenge.. HEARTS....
Frilly and Funkie

I made a couple of things with hearts... and they went into that pile... the one not to use now pile... LOL.
Finally I realized I had to make a birthday card for our son... and then the whole project took on another whole dimension for me..

And this is what I came up with...

Our sons favorite color is RED...  so the tag is with
hearts that are red...

Using the Tim Holtz heart stencil, I put hearts all over a piece of paper... then I cut it to size and put it onto my tag...  the tag is not an ordinary tag... it is a tag card...  one that opens..

Here you can see the hearts... and I stamped and also roughed up the edges and colored the whole thing... having fun all the way...  yikes I am covered in red...

I cut a heart out on the front of the tag and then covered it up with a Martha Stewart heart punch ....  love it...

I used a corner punch and fancy punched out the front panel of this also ... and then using an old... ancient die of at least 10 years old... maybe more???  from Provo craft... that says Love You...

I used distress stains to color it all...

This is the inside of the tag/card...

As you can see I also put a heart on the inside panel... to match the one on the front...

Then some hugs and kisses...

Then a pocket full of LOVE...
filled with all kinds of hearts... I used a sizzix die cut...

I cleaned and re-organized my studio the other day... and I found all kinds of really great dies... so I am going to start to use them...  why not... I loved them once... and still do... they to me are the BASICS of paper arts...  very practical in so many ways...

I edged the hearts in black archival ink... and also used some barn red on the hearts...  all kinds of red fun...

I think it is all about hearts... the love of hearts... and hearts GALORE....

I know that I have another one on the way... a little bit different... but this tag is for the Frilly of Frilly and Funkie...  Funkie is coming up...  yeah for both sides...

Love it all..

Okay... so there you have it...
Hope you have a nice day... thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit... and hope to see you tomorrow...  been really busy around here...  getting things ready for the fall season... love this time of pretty colors... don't you???

Fancy and Fun....

This is one of those projects that started to be made a long time ago... and I would add things as they came to me...  the inside of the card started about 5 months ago... and the front of the card was done on Monday... to match a few challenges...

Which are:

The Shabby Tea Room   Color challenge with birds added

The Kraft Journal  Anything goes...

Craft Hoarders Anonymous   Flowers that are hoarded...

I have to tell you something also that is very special to me... I WON another challenge at the KRAFT JOURNAL... and also won a $15.oo gift shopping spree in their store... wonder feelings from this in all ways...  WHAT A GREAT HONOR... thank you all for the vote of love you have given to my work and play...  I cherish the feelings .

okay...

Now I know you are waiting to see this all.. and so here it is...

BIRDS and LACE

Front of the card
I was playing with my Tapestry stamps and made a wreath...  love these little peg stamps... as you can create so very much with them...  I added the wreath onto a background of stenciled goodness and fun using TH gothic stencil and textured paste... fun galore... and then colored some of it with a baby wipe!!!
Of course I love MS lace makers... my paper punches... and since my studio has all been organized again... I have all my dies and punches in one location... so it is so convenient to pull out what I need to play with to create fun and a mess in my studio... all over the place.

Do you see the little bird tucked into the next among the flowers... she is resting... and having a litter of babies..

The flowers were made from colored coffee filters... and the leaves a drew, cut out and added liquid pearl (gold) as accents on the leaves...

You can see the tapestry stamping a little clearer on this picture...  each leaf and cluster is a separate stamp... so this is a lot of stamping...  and a lot of fun to me...

Moving back a little...

Getting ready to open the card up.......

The inside of the card...

Each section I will talk about below...

Starting at the back.. a paper with MS lace all around the edges, then a layer of Anna Griffin paper... and then a section that creates the folds in this card...  and I made it into a pocket...

Swiss dotted (embossed paper) on the front of the pocket...
Snails, and little fairy on a mushroom...

The tag... with a vintage rose clip art fussy cutted...

Tea Bag folding.. I love tea bag folding... and this is called the Celtic Knot... a little wreath with some tissue paper flowers...

Ahhhh the big old fluffy bird with a fairy riding on her back...  I love this vintage clip art... so very fun and wish I was a fairy at times and could jump on a birds back for a nice breezy ride around the country side... wouldn't you like to do that too???
WHAT FUN would that be??

The last section is a fairy named Luna moth... she is so beautiful... I had to use her here...

Another very special fold...  and so very small ... I really had to work at this folded flower...

There she is in all her glory...

Well there you have it... my card of love

Love of PINK
Love of BIRDS.
Love of FAIRIES
Love of LACE
LOVE!

Hope you have something to create that you LOVE ...  I certainly have LOVED making this card and also sharing it with ya'll...

Hope you have a fun day... and enjoy creating something special... Thanks for stopping by for a visit...

Do 2 Mistakes equal something GREAT???

I don't throw much away... I give a lot of things I don't want, need or like away... but to throw something out... very rarely...so the other day I wanted to chill out... jet my mojo going into high speed... and so I did what I always do... create papers...  well these both went into the some other time pile... meaning that they were NOT GOOD...  I didn't like them at all... they were not what I was looking for at that time...

For some reason.. .they ended up on my work table... FUNNY how that kind of thing happens at times...  so I was cleaning up my work table today... as I had a project that I actually needed the whole table for... you will see it tomorrow...

And these two pieces of paper that I had put in the NOT GOOD pile came together ... and I loved them together... they were just a perfect card for Simon Monday...  STAMPTEMBER.... I did something already... but needed to do something else...  and this was it...

Okay... here they are...  totally different look for me... but I love it...

Well what do you think... yea or nay???
My first piece of paper was the background... and it was a piece of kraft paper...
........and I had stenciled on it trying to match up the design.. .
......and had messed it up... ..
.....So I tried hiding it with some copper inka gold...  t
.....that didn't work either...
.......so I picked up my texture paste and tried that on top...
......and it picked up the blue...
LOL...
oh well..
NOT GOOD...

Oh well what is a gal suppose to do... try something else... right???

So I had picked out some of favorite fall stamps... and two of there were Fred Mullets... I love his stamps... so very real and GREAT...

I wanted to do a relief... so grabbed my embossing pad... and the stamp had not been cleaned... guilty as charged...  I hardly ever clean a stamp...

So when I stamped it onto white paper... it was this really pretty shade of a light teal...

so I went with it...

Too FAINT...  not going to work...

Then I picked up the teasel stamp... and brown archival ink... and stamped on top of it... just to see the teasel stamp...

NOT GOOD..

But  I knew that before I even did that... put it into the pile... of NOT GOOD

So that is how these two came together...

I tore the teasel and rosemary paper... and then edged it with some distress ink...  and the other... just cut out the section I loved...
put them together... and made the tag ...

LIFE IS A JOURNEY.....
Not a DESTINATION....

So appropriate don't you think...  ???

So I think I took 2 mistakes and made something that at least I like... whether it is GREAT??/ is questionable... but I do like it... and the colors are right where I love them today...

The whole card...  with a piece of cheese cloth as ribbon... LOL...

The textured paste and the background...

Thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit today... I really appreciate your visits... hope you will also go over to Simon and see all the pretties there...

I also really appreciate all the comments you have been leaving me... I cherish each and every one of them...  thanks a million y'all....  (That's southern for you ALL... )

Have a great time today... and create something wonderful for someone special...  that also includes YOU...

The White Witch

This morning I got up and had quite a few assorted things to do... and so I was a little frustrated not to be able to walk into the studio and play... then I had a few friends come over for eggs, and also to buy some cards, papers, and other goodies...  so it wasn't until about 3 that I FINALLY got into the studio to PLAY... YEAH... finally is okay... I did have a good time... so that is okay too...

I had a few challenges that I wanted to address... and so here is what I made...

I had so very much fun making this 'box' and then covering it and filling it...  oh wait until you see it all..

First off.. I saw a box that Anna-Karin made last week...  and since I love to make boxes... I put it onto my ' Note to Self' list to make someday...  well I didnt' realize that it was going to happen so quickly... but it did... I really love it...  so I sort of fashioned this one after it...

If you like or LOVE vintage... you had better take a look see... her tutorial is fantastic... so I wanted to try her techniques... even though I didn't have all the right colors of distress paints, I had fun with it...

Of course this is my project.. so it looks different than both of these..... as you can see...

One of the challenges that I created this for is
and the challenge is to always use Kraft paper...
and then this time it was also to PUNCH...
I used an EKSuccess pumpkin punch...
and then I rusted it with
Distress Vintage Photo embossing powder...
love it...
rough and old looking.....

Okay... as you can see the White Witches hat also... she is the BEST and only kind of witch...  she is in tune with nature... loves plants, critters and protects them all...
Helps people to heal with herbs naturally and consoles the spirit with love...  the white witch is a GOOD WITCH...
Oh... you knew that from the Wizard of OZ... the good white witch helped Dorothy get home...  of course...

I used a few stencils... this one is Tim's... called splatter... and I think it looks like a spider web...  and of course all the spiders are now building huge webs... catching as much as they can for the long winter months ahead...

I used Willow, Aqua and a little Espresso Adirondack acrylic paints to create this...  Love the technique Astrid... thanks so very much for the GREAT tutorial... I love it and have it saved to my hard drive...  truth...  love it..

I needed to close the 'box' so I also had a challenge to use BUTTONS....

Wow since I have been doing these challenges I have really started to clean up my studio and get things into order, so that I can find things and USE them... so many old things that need to be used...

BUTTONS it was to close this box...

The back of the box... I used a Dyan Reaveley Stencil for this area... and then of course some of tim's tissue tape...  great stuff...

Of course the box opens...

to reveal more stenciling... and birds flying out of the box...

and down at the bottom... the front of the box opens...

to reveal BRIGHT COLORS of FALL...

Here is the inside of the box...
assorted papers that I found today in my Halloween STASH... which is now totally organized and cleaned out... all the junk has gone into a bag that will go to others for their enjoyment...  papers, stickers, skeletons, all kinds of goodies...

Tissue tape really gives you the opportunity to hide things too..  a knot from the button being sewn onto the front...

Another challenge...
called
The challenge over there...
WITCH KRAFT!!!!
Well I just so happen to be in luck...  LOL...
I used KRAFT paper... and also have a witch  on duty too...

This is the first tag for this box... I will put a few more in here... there is actually room for 8... if I leave off some of the bulky things... LOL..

A few little flowers using Tim's Tatterd floral mini die... and some dyed ribbon...

Same die cut... just a larger flower...
The background... oh wow...
Do you remember this Embossing folder... almost every card in my stamping group had this embossing folder some how used on the card... LOL.. it was THE folder to have that year...  I loved it and had to honor it today with this tag...

I also added a TIM stamped pumpkin and a few rust little pumpkins...

And another piece of punched paper...
Green polka dots...

Raffia... a little flair for the flower.. and a finishing touch....

I really had fun with this project... and the
WHITE WITCH
will be back to add more tags soon...
have to wait for an addition...

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit... and I have to say a super great THANK YOU to all of you who leave me sweet nothings... I love them all.. and cherish each word...

Hope you have a super great day... use some older tools you have around your craft room or studio and honor yourself and your toys...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
