A Day in December

WOW.... I am back again... it has been a tour of many different types...  Since I was last here, I have done so very many different things and had fun and enjoyment in all kinds of ways...

So I will share with you some of the things that I have made over the past months...  I have been busy getting ready for the boutiques held at the Agricultural Center in the center of Mill Springs...  it has been fun... and also a lot of planning on what to do, what to share etc...  but at this point I only have one more day down there... Saturday, and so I wanted to try and share these with you...

These are some shadow boxes that I just had to make...  once I make something that I really love, I can't stop... and so I had to make a few more...

The Sleigh Ride...  of course I forgot to take a picture of this with the LIGHTS all on...  but the lantern lights up and of course there is a 'candle' in the window...I get a little carried away with all the details... but I think that is what makes each one so very unique... like the skates hanging on the sleigh...  and a cookie cutter heart on the edge of the box...  all fun things that we do at Christmas time...

This one is a little bit different... and the window does have a candle that lights up...  and the tree is all decorated with with pearls...  I love the mess of stars that the moose is hanging out in...

Another lantern in the scene... with a pearl decorated tree... and lots of crystals to represent snow...  PEACE on earth...

More lights, lanterns, pearls on the tree and a handpainted mural in the background.  all Christmas feelings ....  you just need the music to accompany these.   and it will be a lovely day for all..

Have you ever bought something that YOU really didn't have any idea what you were going to use it for???  I generally dont' do that... I do have a general idea as to what I am going to do with most things I buy...  well this one package of paper was a real splurge... and it was bugging me... and finally I decided to make a set of a Never Ending Card, Eloquent Box and matching envelope out of it...  I think You might have seen this...

I just love this wonderful paper by Anna Griffin... her papers are so very eloquent and take you to another level of beautiful...   well... a lot of people fell in love with these...  and now have them as keepsakes, and also as presents for loved ones over the coming weeks...  so I decided to make some other sets, with a Never Ending Card, Envelope and box...

Here are a few of the boxes...  sorry I can't show you all of them...  I just haven't taken pictures yet...

Holly and Glitter... oh my... what sheer delight in my heart...  I love it...  the Glitter is so very red... and it is just perfect for this floral bouquet on the top of this box...  the Never Ending card and Envelope of course match it... what a wonderful way to present a gift to someone special in your life...

If you would like to have a set, please write to me... I will mail you out a set...

These Glittery balls are also a pretty sight...  with a soft bow on the top...  all so very light and pretty...  layered upon each other on this box top...

I love pinecones, red bows, holly leaves.. and so another box... with all that on it... and a lot of LOVE!!!!

I also have had another birthday since I last wrote on my blog... and am enjoying my 69th year on this earth walk.   So very much left to do, and my list keeps on getting longer and longer each day...  wow... will I ever get to the bottom???? I hope not...

I just wanted to say something to all of those of you who have sent letters of inquiry about different things... Glenn and I have been sick with this flu/cold thing... it is really not something I want to share with anyone...  Glenn really had it much worse than I did...  with a touch of his old malaria acting up again too...  we have not been 'sick' for over 40 years... so this really took a tole on us... but we are back on the path again... and enjoying life.  Now if they would tell us that we would have a high speed internet connection we would be even happier... but hey...  life deals us what we need to experience...  right???

Thanks so much for all your love and thoughts over the past few weeks...  I love you all.. .

Hope you have a wonderful Holiday time... Merry Christmas, and celebrate the holidays to the fullest...

Designer card and box

Sometimes when we do something it really turns out way beyond what you expected... I bought a ream of this paper and really didn't know what I was going to do with it... I just LOVED it...  when I got it...  I still wasn't real sure... and kept on looking at it... and finally it hit me to make a Designer Special Never Ending card with it...  and then the envelope developed... and then the box... I love it...

A trio of things from one ream of special paper... LOL.. that I wasn't really sure what I was going to do with it...

Please let me know what you think of it...
The stripe paper is by Designer Anna Griffin... so you know it is a good quality paper... very elegant to me... that is for sure...

I made up 12 never ending cards and can make a box to match.. I have a couple of boxes made... but can do them up for you... this makes a really nice holiday gift... in fact I am sending this to my Mom for one of her 94th Birthday presents...  filled with cashews... her favorite nut...  you can fill it with almost anything... including gift cards etc...

Just thought you would enjoy seeing it...
I love it and loved making it... and will love selling and giving these out...

Hope you have had a wonderful day...

HI to all of you.... so very sorry that it has been so very long since I have posted anything .... but the only excuse is that I have been very busy with so many other things...

Teaching, cooking up harvested things..,  getting ready for the Ag Center Saturday markets... all that kind of thing...  and on top of it... just having fun in the studio making all kinds of goodies...

So I thought after getting so many loving letters from ya'll that I had better share something with you...

Yesterday Sande... my Bud and neighbor came down to play...  she is having surgery this morning... and so my thoughts and love are with her for a QUICK Recovery ... but we did get to play prior to her having to stay home and stay quiet for a while...

So this is what I did while we played...

So I used a Tim Holtz box and re-arranged it a little bit...  putting a small one on the bottom, the largest in the middle and then a little one on the top...

I wanted the tree to section to be crowded...  which I did get that look with very few items in the box...

What fun Sande and I had...  She also created a wonderful box... entirely different than mine... all in Red, white and gold... but differently done...  and very elegant and pretty too...

This is the center of the box...
In the very background I did use a watercolor of little trees...  against a pink sky... which we see so very often here at dusk...

I used a gold garland around the tree and then used all different size pearls  to decorate it...

Oh the lantern..????
WAit...  until you see that all lite up... I love it..
On the very top is a little tiny tree all decorated too.. with sequins and pearls... and also some picket fence around all the pearls...  (Stickles that is... )

A little pair of ice skates are hanging there ready to be used... LOL... so much fun...

I had to wait until it got dark so that I could take this picture of the glimmering lantern...  I love the way it looks...

I am going to be selling this and others like this at the Ag Center Saturday markets...  in Mill Spring, NC...  What fun we all have there too...  so many people to meet and see...
Down in the bottom box... I have a votive light... and it shows up the little houses all in the circle...

Hope you have enjoyed this... I certainly did... and will try and take pictures of the other ones to share with you also...

Hope you have a wonderful day... create something fun and enjoy what you are doing all the time...  Thanks for stopping by for a visit...

Happy Tuesday to y'all....  it was a pretty day here...  all day long... but I had a long list of  things I wanted to get done ... one had been on my list for a very long time... very very long time...  and that was to make curtains for our bedroom...  and I finally sat down and made them... I still have to make a few more adjustments but for all practical purposes.... they are DONE.... YEAH...

So after that I decided to sit down and see what the Diva had up her sleeve for us today... and it was this...creating two tangles... knightsbridge and tipple... so even though I was dragging and still had to do dinner... I sat down and created this...

Not a very detailed one.. but I was happy that I got it done...  I was so very tired...  but you see then I sat down in my lazy boy.... and it was all over... I fell sound asleep...  for over 3 hours...  my sweet hubby made his own dinner, and I slept thru it... he was pretty quiet I guess... and I was tired... I really pushed to get those curtains done...

Anyway... so now I am walking all over the house... trying to make myself     TIRED!!!!!  I am getting there... so I thought I would blog this tangle... and it would be one less thing to do tomorrow.. since I will most likely be sleeping late... LOL... one thing really does effect the whole... doesn't it...

I am going to make bread tomorrow anyway... and need a long time to do that... I found a great gluten free recipe but it does take a long time to rise, and then rise again... and then cook... at least an hour for each... so I will play while that is going on... but need to be here...

So maybe you will see some more things...  but I am going to be making some general Never Ending cards... thanks to all of you have placed orders, I have to make more and more...  I just got my Christmas ones finished... and now need to make more every day colors... especially purple ones... seems like everyone this week needed purple...  a nice fall color...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.. and hope that you have a lovey day...  keep the creative flow going and make something everyday...

Christmas Trees Galore

I have really tried to get on here prior to today... but have not been able to get a connection to do this... I am really having some serious trouble... and don't want to give up my computer...  but really getting at the end of the line.. . boo hoo...  this is not fair... it is all over greed on AT&T's corp ways...  they will not put in dsl or even decent phone lines down to our neighborhood...  there are about 10 of us waiting...  most of the other people have moved onto other methods, but our home sort of sits in a bowl... and between the trees and the land we are unable to get a good connection.,...  anyway... enough of that... I have been trying ...

So I started to work on Christmas cards, Christmas CD's and all that  kind of thing...  so here are some cards that appear in the newest CD...  It is from Tea Bag Folding class #11...  but it is all about TREES... cute little Christmas trees!!!!

I used up some papers that I had bought last year...  or maybe it was the year before that???? LOL... you know how that is...  anyway.. I had fun making these cards...

On the CD there is software to print you own tiles, all the directions... and you can always write to me... and ask 1000's of questions anyway...

I also used some new die cuts from Tim Holtz collections...  and of course a spellbinder or two...  love it all... don't you???

I had to have a 'flying reindeer' across a card... I love these reindeers that just sort of float above it all..

This tree is so very easy and so very effective on a card... and it will fold flat for mailing...  and puff up when opened...  I love the hedge row of trees in the background...  another new die...  I had to have it...  just a must for making Christmas cards...
Angels of the light...  so cute with a little tree as a memory of the season...  holly galore and of course the red berries...

I also of course had ti dye my own ribbon to match my creations... love inky fingers...
Waiting for Santa always is a childhood memory...  can't wait until Santa gets here...

I use to share a bedroom on Christmas eve with my little brother... and he had bunk beds... and he use to say he was going to sleep on the top bunk...  so  I would tell him, that was okay... as I could be the first out in the morning... and he would get upset... and then he would tell me I had to sleep on the top bunk... and I would say... that is okay... then I can hear Santa coming...  LOL.. he would end up sleeping on the floor out of fear that he would miss them both...

Love Making these little trees and I hope that you will too... on the CD there are directions to make all three tree styles... and also a tile making soft ware program... and tons of tiles... and also a lot of clip art to use on these projects...and over 50 cards that I have made over the years using these trees...   all for only $25.00  a real bargain in todays' market...  so let me know if you desire one.. . I can send you a Pay Pal bill, or what ever your choice is...  I am certainly flexible... that is for sure...

hope you have a wonderful day..  I am going to go make some more trees...  for more cards... to send to my friends, family and neighbors...

Computers????

Well I did try and post last week... but I am not really sure what is going on.... I have two computers and they were both rather
S  L  O   W

I was totally unable to do much of anything except get my e-mail on SOME occasions... not all the time, as sometimes it wouldn't even connect...  so I stripped out my desk style computer and put it all on an external hard drive...  and it is now empty... weird feeling to say the least.... so when I got in this computer this morning... I was shocked to get the amazing connection of 32.8 kbps...  yipppppeeee.....  it has not even connected prior to this... so that was awesome... I know that most of you are in the 3 and 4 G.... and I am not even in the MBPS.... LOL... sad but true...

But hey.. I try and keep up a little bit...
So I made Never ending cards for the Fall season...  and then started making Christmas ones for sale too...  so I will have over 100 never ending cards to sell...  which will just about be good for me...  I most likely will make a few more... but hey... it's a start...

I did tangle a little bit... and here is what I created...
It was done with a red gelly roll pen...  and it is only about 3x 3.... not very big.. and on the back of my shopping list...  not good either...  as I will have to rewrite that ....  I will not loose a tangle..

Tangles to me should really be done in black... so this looks so very weird to me... but change is good...  the gelly roll pen did have a very fine point... so I was able to really work small...  actually tinier than normal....

I did use the newest Tangle from Maria and Rick... I really love it... I did one last week too...  love this tangle...  really fun and very easy to create a lot of different feelings with it..  Thanks Maria and Rick for the new tangle... and Thanks Laura for using it for a challenge...

Well upon checking the I am the DIVA challenge this morning... Low and behold... the challenge was to create and then to color it...  so I guess last Monday I was just a week early and didn't know it...

So I sat down at some time today and tangled ... and then colored it after dinner...

Here it is...

I had a lot of fun with this one... and I really love the way it turned out...I wanted to use a lot of color... and I did...  I also used a medium that I have not used that often... it is Gelato's.... and when you turn the page side ways  you can see the glittery effect that some of the colors have... LOVE IT...what neat little sticks of color.   I used most of the colors... and was pretty happy with that part of it too...

Hope you had fun with this one... and I sure would LOVE to see all the ones that you did...  I miss seeing all the pretty things that every one else creates...  but maybe soon I will be able to connect to something so that I can see everything!!!!  What fun that will be.

Hope you had a great day... and have another GREAT day tomorrow...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and see you soon... I am trying to get on here more often.. .but things keep on happening around here...  so I try... .

Sharing

Today was a funny day... it started out sort of okay... and ended up GREAT...  I finally got the studio back in order... that was a great load off my back... as for the past 6 weeks I have not really been able to pick it up ... just made messes...  which was okay.. but I really like a nice clean studio to play in...  so I am back to way it should be in there..

I also cleaned out a box of goodies that my sweet hubby brought up from the storage room in our basement... it has not been cleaned out since we moved his folks in here 13 years ago... so little by little we are going thru stuff... and today I found the best thing... a picture of his Grandmother and Grandfather (paternal side...) on their wedding day..

I have to tell you that she was 97 when she died in 1975...  so you can figure out that this picture was taken in approx 1896....  it is still in really GREAT shape... it is in a cardboard frame thing... and that is it... the color is about as you see it here...  117 year old picture... amazing...  I wonder what we have now that will be around in 117 years... LOL..

This is Nellie and Alton McLain...  and I think that Nellie was about 18 years old or so.. and I think it was in Scranton, Pennsylvania...  but not really sure...

I just love this picture...  I am so very glad I found it...  along with so many other wonderful family pictures of my husbands family...

So nice to clean out things and find things that are so loving and rewarding.   I love it...  the rest of the STUFF...  I have no need for any of it...  so we will be looking for new homes for all of that...

Hope you had a nice day... I am ready for bed... but have to make a few Never Ending cards... making some with a fall theme...  love it...

Thanks for stopping by... and have a nice week-end..

Back Again

I have not been feeling to well... all kinds of fun things... and so a I am finally back again...  YEAH for me!!!   So I went to the I am the Diva Challenge... and Laura I love it... but can't get to see the tangle on Flicker...  dial up is so very much fun??? NOT! ! !   Anyway... I have a few to share that are from the past couple of weeks I have missed...

No matter what... I always seem to totally enjoy my tangling... I have been teaching some Tea Bag Folding classes and also card classes... so I have taken other art into my heart again.. but tangling is a form of art that is really relaxing to me...

I can't remember which challenge this was for... but it was for one of them.. LOL..

This is one that I did using the newest tangle from ZENTANGLING...  named  WELL...

I love it...

I found it very challenging... keeping my brain focused on the lines, and then when all that was done... wow... what fun I had... I filled in the spaces with LOVE...  hearts galore...  and then added another love.... FLOWERS...  what fun I had with this one..

Again another tangle... can't remember what it was for... but did enjoy doing it...  all the spaces in a string I love to fill in...  so nice to have a small space...

But then again... a clean piece of 8.5 X 11 is nice too... I can deal with either way...

I have been doing a lot of cooking lately.. and have finally mastered making gluten free bread, english muffins, blueberry mufffins using the last of the blueberries from this season.. . speaking of which.. what a wild one it was...

Hopefully the next season will be tamer... and will allow the gardens to grow the way they are suppose to grow..

Thanks for stopping by for a look... and a visit... I have missed being able to blog and share with you... hopefully I will be able to continue now...  Have a super nice day... and create something with LOVE... lots of love..

Blue and White

I have been working on some pretty tiles .... and I finally got my Blue and White ones that I have been trying to create... I have over 100 of them... and they are all GREAT.... I love them...  soooooo
I decided to create some medallions... and here they are...

When I started to make these medallions, I just was going to make a few... LOL.. I never do anything in a FEW.... there is really no such thing in my life.... So here are a few that I made... to see the rest... you can purchase the CD of all the Blue and white tiles and there are also 100 black and white tiles too...  what a fun CD... you will also have a nice soft ware package to print all the tiles from 3/4 of an inch to 6 inches square...  some times people wonder why you need so small or such large ones...  well... they make great background papers...  and also you can make huge medallions...  for walls, etc...
This one is for you Barbara...  Barbara is in my Tea Bag Folding Class... and she loved my black and white so very much... BUT she is really in love with BLUE AND WHITE even more...  she wanted to create a card with a blue and white medallion with a yellow background...

Okay... I added a white background as well...
Here's one with a tan background...  showing you some different backgrounds as they are all fun colors to use with the Blue and White medallions...

Of course I had to use all different folds from different classes... this one is from Class 5...

Another one from class 5...
Love these blue and white tiles...
Thanks Barbara for begging for these...

Wait until you see them... you will be jumping up and down...

I got a little fancy too... adding a strip of butterflies flying across the card...  this fold is from class 4...  all the CD's for these classes are available on my blog...

Well I just wanted to share these with you... and I hope that you enjoy them... I am still healing from this attack of sciatica... going up and down stairs... and then all of a sudden another pop and no motion... so I am still having to take it easy...

Hope you are doing well.. enjoying your days... and having fun...
I have finally found a delicious gluten free recipe of pasta noodles and also one for egg rolls... WOW... they are super good...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit...

A fun day in the kitchen

Have you ever had one of those days where you started out to do one thing.. and 7 more things jumped onto you schedule???  Well that is what happened here today... I started out to make some nice rice pudding... and then made some seeds( as shown) We eat a lot of these seeds... in fact I try and always have some around... it makes a great snack and also they are perfect snacking food for us...  sunflower and Pumpkin seeds... with a little braggs amino acid on them for a nice salty taste... I do roast them in a little 100% real organic butter... rich and nice tasting...
I put the seeds in a piece of pottery that our daughter gave us for our anniversary this year... WE LOVE IT...  it is just perfect for our seeds on the table...

The colors in the piece are just beautifulllllllll ... this picture is a little washed out... but not quite as dark as the one above...  anyway... she really did a GREAT job on these both... she just started to learn how to throw... and is really doing a super creative job...  oh yeah... check out the muffins...  I made them this morning too... blueberries that Glenn picked from out Rabbit Eye bushes needed to be used up... so muffins were calling to be made... now you have to realize that I don't use wheat at all... we have not used wheat for over 3 years now... maybe longer... can't honestly remember... but I know that it has been as least 3 years now...

Here is the bowl again... with two smaller ones that her teacher made...  she bought them for us a few years ago... prior to starting to make her own...  I personally love hers better...

WE so enjoy the pottery no matter what... and it looks so very nice on our table... and we love the feel of it too..
Here is my very own cup... with a flower on it... how perfect is that...  I love it... I made a nice huge pot of dandelion root tea today... and am enjoying cleaning out my tract and cooking...  love it..
The tea bags had these really nice words on them... and they fit so perfectly with all that I was feeling...
Peace, Savor, enjoy, dream, be heard, comfort... I experienced these all in a matter of an hour....  so very perfect for a glorious day...

Now back to the muffins...  not using wheat... usually the muffins are flat looking... nothing ever sort of seems the same... but today I have conquered this and made really nice HIGH muffins... and they tasted GREAT... really
GREAT.....
Oh do you see the 6 muffins in the back... they are sitting on a pottery plate that Heather Amy
gave us a few years ago...  we use them every day of the week... unless we have company... then we have to use other plates...  but these are our very own personal plates... very special to us..

So I did get creamy rice pudding made, muffins... and also a lovely dinner is on the way to reaching the table...  sweet potato fries are baking in the oven now... and we will enjoy a great zucchini noodle (raw) main course... with roasted red peppers, and some pickled okra...  of course I will have to make something with the Chanterelles ....(wild mushrooms)  too... we love them... and Glenn just walked in with a nice basket full of them..

Hope that you have a GREAT day...
I am still healing this silly sciatic problem.. .but am feeling so very much better...  never had one last this long... not a good thing at all..

Have a fun time, create no matter in which direction you need to ... but enjoy it all...
Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

One of my Favorite colors

I can remember a time when everything I had, did or wanted to have, had to be purple... but now I have stepped back a wee bit and do allow other colors into my life a little more... LOL... In fact I have to say that Purple is just one of my favorite colors now.....

So with that in mind here is a special card to share with you.

Generally speaking it doesn't take me too long to put a card together... but this one took over three weeks...   I just didn't seem to have the time to sit and finish it at any one time...

I cut a circle in the top half of the card front... and then built a medallion in the circle...  I used a spell binder butterfly circle as the center of the medallions.. you will see a little more what I am talking about when you see the other pictures...

I put an antique pansy and blue butterflies all on the front, along with a piece of dyed ribbon that runs from the front to the inside of the card.

So when you open the card you see this...
In the center front circle you will see that there is a white showing... and that is the butterfly circle...  that is what I glued the celtic knots onto.. .

there is the ribbon coming from the front too...

Okay... over on the other side is a little tiny faerie holding some violets, and another medallion... wow I really had fun putting all these medallions on this special card...

Here are some closeups...  I did put tiny little pearls all around the medallion...  not sure you can see them though...  it was hard to photograph this card... purple is a hard color that way...
Here are the two celtic knots...  Love this fold...

and of course the color is so very pretty...
I wanted to show you the height of the medallion on the front of the card... it is about 1 inch tall...
Another view of the medallion looking down on it...

It is really a 4 layered medallion... love it when they are so high...

Hope you have a nice day...  It is overcast and grey here to day... hope that the sun decides to come out and play for awhile...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and hope to see you again soon..

Friday... wow the week-end is upon us

Today is Friday... wow... the week-end is upon us...and it looks like it is going to be a stormy one too.... for the next four days... rain, rain and more rain... we are 20 inches above normal rain fall.... according to the paper this morning..Last year another year of drought...and not floods all around us...  weird weather.

This week has not been the most pleasant for me... I slept in front of a fan a few weeks ago, and it settled into the sciatic nerve... yikes.. very painful to say the least... I am hobbling around with a cane... not my normal method of transportation... but hey... you have to do what you need to do, to get around.  My studio is two steps lower than the rest of the house...  ( a sunken room..and very nice... ) but when you have a problem... not the easiest to get into and out of... but My sweet Hubby has been running down into the studio getting things to keep me busy...  what a sweetheart he is...

So I do have some of my tangling stuff up on this level, so that was good...

Here is another 4 in one tangle...

I really love dong these 4 square TIA...

I always draw the four squares using a tile as a template... and then start to play...

This week on the Diva's challenge she asked us to use Jane's tangle called Henna Drum... my type of tangle.. it moves, has flowers, and is pretty.  What more does anyone need... I have really enjoyed using it... and will most likely be an all time favorite...  love it... thanks Jane and Laura for bringing this to us..

Hope you all have a FANTASTIC week-end...

Monday Challenge on Tuesday week

Canada had a long three day week-end... and so we are doing the challenge for the DIVA on Tuesday...  which is fine with me..  The Challenge this week is to use Jane's tangle, called Henna Drum... sounds so wild to me... and it is a great tangle too.. .

So here is mine... wild as I can be today...

So I divided off a sheet a paper that was 8x11 and started to fill in the tiles... LOL.. what fun I can have with something like this..

Love the tangle... and find it so easy to adapt to anywhere I desire..  did a smaller one on a single line...  just having fun...

Hope you are having fun today...  and that you can create something you LOVE too..  Thanks for stopping by... and enjoy your day...

String 4 times 4

Last night I started to play and I drew four tiles on a piece of paper that was 8.5 x 11.... and then this is what happened...

The four tiles sort of came together and created one TIA...

I really had fun doing this one too... I think I like working with larger pieces of paper and creating a whole sheet of fun...  vs a small tile...  just my own personal feeling...

Hope you have a fun day... and create something fun too...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit...  off to get some things done..
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
