Monday Monday.... what a lovely day of the week...

Today is Monday...  and it is a busy busy day around here... even though it is raining, I am canning up some beans... and threw some blueberries into the freezer...  and made a card... yes ONE card for THREE challenges... usually it is the other way around... but this week is really hectic and I wanted to do something for all three of these challenges...

Simon Says... I have to say again... THANK YOU all for the lovely honor of  Designer Spotlight...  it is truly a huge honor... and also the Winnings of a $50.00 shopping spree...  WOW... what fun is that...  so Please check out this FUN challenge... and ENTER today...    This week it is Mid Summer Challenge...  with sort of an anything goes type of theme...  for this theme I choose to do summer flowers... one of my favorites...  tiny blue bells... please check out this site and join in on the fun...

The other challenge is Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge and they ask that we use up STUFF we have... and get the old things and USE them...  I had to join... I keep on thinking that something miraculous will happen and my studio will become clean...!!!  LOL...  Anyway the theme this week is to EMBOSS...  dry or with a heat gun...  so I did a little of both... I embossed dry... with a tim holtz embossing folder and then I used many different colors of embossing powders all over the paper.. I love the way it turned out...   hope you can see enough of it... I also used little fancy spellbinder pieces on the corners and embossed them too...  so I do have some embossing going on here... I just did the first challenge here yesterday... and everyone seems so very welcoming and happy... I love that...  so here I am again with another piece... as I promised...

Third.. but not least is the Shabby Tea Room challenge... which I have not done in over two years... I use to have dial up and it was so very difficult to get onto a site... let alone post, and do all that one has to do... so I gave up doing it... and this spring when we finally were able to get high speed... I got on line and started to PLAY... and here I am again...  Hi Debbie...  Okay... the challenge here is to do flowers... and also lace... I have the blue.. but not the pink... hope that the colors are okay... if not, I had fun adding my lace... and will watch to see if the colors have to be the same too...

Okay... now some of the other things that I have added...  my background paper and the envelope of course I made also... I took Distress inks and put them onto a worksheet and spritz and created the papers... then I took a die cut and made a stencil with the butterfly die cut of tim's... and that is how I got the butterflies...  also used a small group of flowers on the card background... just because I love flowers...

The center of the oval frame... (which is crackled) I took a piece of one of the green tall plants from the butterfly garden we have on the farm... and brought it home and sprayed it with some Dylusional ink...  I love the results...

I made all the flowers... and used stamen that I did buy...  in the centers of each flower...  the ribbon is of course seam binding dyed...

So... that is my card... now I guess you would like to see it...

Midnight Bloom

Embossed paper in background and spellbinder fancy corner also embossed

I adore butterflies... and this one I made using Tim Holtz's die cut... cut 100's of them... and painted the all different colors to use... if you want to talk about OCD Karen... we can now talk!!!  LOL..
anyway.. .I generally make the butterflies double... to show them flying FREE... and the underneath one is generally always different...  just the way it is...

Here you can see the difference of the other butterfly...  also the spraying of the tall grasses...  I used sunshine yellow (?) and also a brown... love the effects I got.

Some of the bluebells...

With a large card like this, I generally try and make a matching envelope... which I did...  paper matches sort of... not the stamping on the butterflies... but colors and butterflies are a match...

This is what the paper looks like close up...

So that is it... hope you enjoyed this... and thanks for stopping in to see me...  I really love your visits and also love your sweet comments... thanks so very much for both...

Hope you have a wonderful day creating and enjoying...

Girly, Girl Day at Sunday Stamper

Today on Sunday Stampers...  Hels has the theme of Girl talk...  and I just finished up working on a special gift for a special woman...  she is a single Mom... and has a little girl who is so very patient and loving...  not like so many kids of this time... this child will stand waiting for the Mom for finish work in one place for over 3 hours... a very patient and loving child to say the least...  anyway... this woman as done so very many special things for Glenn and I, so I wanted to make her something as a THANK YOU for being so strong and special.. .

This is what I created...

I wanted to have a box so that I could make this fun little book ... and so I made the box first... I colored Coffee Filters with Dylusional inks... and also Distress inks...and then created roses and other flowers using die cuts of Tims...

Then I started on the book... well I got so excited with the making of the book, that I FORGOT to make sure it would FIT into the BOX.... do I hear a huge DUH???  Well truth be known it is okay...

I took 5 legal size envelopes... and folded them in half... and then used pieces of white card stock that I had embellished with paints, inks, stenciling, stamping, and having fun with...  so here is that little book...

I don't have a lot of time to write about each one, as we are going out in a few minutes for the afternoon.... BUT... I love this little book... but I am going to give it to her...  LOL...

On the front is my favorite SNAIL...  and then a few of the roses and flowers made from the dyed coffee filters... love the richness of the colors that these filters take on... really lovely...

This book is frilly... and girly girl type of thing... and I know that she and her daughter will have lots of fun filling it up with pictures and fun days they have together...

Not only that... but after the edges of each envelope were punched... it made a really nice place for a tag to slip right into.... and that is perfect for a picture, writing etc...

On the pages the papers are also pockets... as they are only adhered on the three sides... and open at the ends, like the envelopes...  and then there are pockets on some pages with smaller tags, and embellishments to also put pictures on the back of them...

I had fun making this little book... and hope that Brittany will enjoy using it...

I made all kinds of fun papers... and used bits and pieces of them for this little book... I love ... simply LOVE to make pretty papers... stamping, inking, painting, stenciling, etc etc... you name it and it goes onto papers...

there are never any mistakes... as they all get used up... one way or the other...

I have sort of used the theme of birds on the pictures... but it is really a free spirited book...

Even have a few flowers...

So that is my little project for the Girl Talk theme...

But I also took time yesterday and made a little boy to match my little girl fairy...

Here is my little girl fairy... in case you missed her...

2.5 inches tall

This is all needle felted wool... I dyed the wool using Ranger Color Wash... and then needle felted it.. it is my first attempt at needle felting... so I really feel very proud of her...  I made her on Wednesday... but then yesterday I made a little man...

Now my little man is almost 4 inches tall.. .but with his hat about 6 inches tall.. way to big for a sweet little 2.5 inch girl... so I will have to make another man for her... and a little woman for him...  LOL... what a shame right????  But I did have fun making them... but need help in naming them... so if you have any suggestions... please share them with me...  thanks...

Hope you have a creative day... and enjoy making something really girly girl too...  thanks for stopping by for a visit... and see you tomorrow with some tangling...

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

PINK it is...

Well I am a little late for Sunday Stampers... but the challenge is open until Saturday evening... but still...  a little late.... With Mother's Day and all I just didn't have the time to get everything done that I wanted to do...  but I also had to think about this one????

The challenge this week is to use PINK...  not a normal problem for me...

Not really sure why... Pink is one of my favorite colors... so why did I have to think???  But I did... I pondered over this tag for the longest time.... do you ever do that???

Anyway... I have about 15 tags to use for other projects all inked and ready to go... no problem with that... at all.. .love getting inky, love creating and love have extra on hand...  just goes into the paper inked bin...  it is getting pretty full..... better start using some of it again...

Anyway... I really wanted a dark background... so I have this tag layered...  many times in some places... maybe I better show it to you...  then I can talk a little more, as you see the tag...

First off... this is going into my Journal that I started the cover on the challenge CC3  Hope you will take a look and join in on this fun challenge...  Hels is one of the CREW on this one... all kinds of wonderful fun art on exhibit there...

anyway....  this is a page that I want for the W page... Wish...  I wish love for YOU...

And I used a lot of PINK...

Also the last page is this really lush color of a purpleie (is that a word???)   pink...

Okay... the tag...  I have a couple of layers and then added a smaller tag on the top... with birds and branches... and then also a pretty bird... with a bow for the nest...

the heart.... tissue wrap paper by TIM...  and then some lace... which is very old...  I bought it about 45 years ago as a bolt of antique lace... LOL... so it is most likely about 100 years old...  a little on the already antique linen side naturally...

the flower is from some paper that I dyed with VICTORIAN VELVET distress ink... and then cut the flower out... and added a store bought yellow flower into the center... (actually it was sitting on my work bench...??? ) and on it went...  Lots of pink...

a little bit closer so you can see more details if desired... this is the top...

and the bottom of the tag...  I had a hard time getting the lace to dip like that... so it is not a mistake.... I wanted it to look like that...

Hope you have enjoyed my blog today... and thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit ...  more pages and more will be added to my journal... love it... so many pockets to fill up with goodies etc...

Have a super wonderful day.. create and enjoy...

CELEBRATE

Celebrate.. I am ready to celebrate my 68th birthday...  YIKES... I was just 21 a few years ago... where has the time ever gone...  so very much fun and creation each and every day of my life... in so many ways... I have had a very interesting life and have met so very many wonderful people...  for more details on things I have done... you can read my profile... it is more like a book!!!! LOL... a real problem for me... nothing fits into a nut shell... LOL... at all..  Profile or book...

Anyway... that is me...

So I had to create a few things last night for a few challenges... one of the Challenges is for Creative Every Day... where the theme is CELEBRATE...so I had to think of my birthday and that word...  right???

And the other challenge is for the I am the DIVA challenge of the week... which I had already done a piece for... but hey... I am just prolific in all ways... so I had to use the tangle a few more times...

So lets get started...  as I have a few things to share with you...

When I think of Celebrations, I think of JOY...  Joy in all ways around the celebration...  and of course at this time of year we are looking at all the wonderful holidays that are coming up in this month of December...  JOYOUS ness plus...  all people love to celebrate the seasonal feelings... even if they are alone during this time...  they are still happy or joyous to be alive...  so I did this painting in my art journal for JOY...

I attached a zen tangle ball as an ornament...  and some seam binding to hold it in place...  LOL... the yin yang of life...  the balance we all need to keep each and every day of our lives...  oh so many things we do each and every day without even thinking about it... but it gets done...

A HUGE Paisley with a flower... of course, on the top of it...  and it sort of reminded me a balloon taking off from the field...  I love those huge balloons when they take off...  have you ever seen that... I love watching them at night too... with all their lights on...  oh so very magical in all ways...  I put a few Keenees at the bottom to balance this one...  and then surrounded the celebration with the girlande tangle...  I love this one...

Of course the feeling of each holiday that is celebrated during this time... is LOVE.. love for everything, everyone and a joyous love of life... what could be more perfect... LOVE...

So I had to make a couple of Yin Yang hearts... and then add a few keenees..  to dangle from the E...

I didn't want to color the hearts as they needed to balance by themselves...  on their own right...

Okay... now this one is all about the celebration that I am going to have...

One of  LOVE, Joyous, Happy, Fun and lots MORE...  68 years young!!!!

CELEBRATION plus...

A little snail.. and little frog... and lots of shells...  LOL...  oh well I have never ever said I was 'normal'  just fun loving and love do create...

These balloons are so very joyous in real life... I love the contrasting colors in each one...  anyway... it is all about CELEBRATION... and I do hope that you will celebrate too... no matter what it is...  just celebrate each and every day...  it is always a good thing to do...

Thanks for stopping by...  and don't forget to see the rest of the alphabet that is going on...  On Thursday  I will publish the whole set on a separate page... and also show you the third set!!!  Oh yes... prolific me... was at it again... three sets of alphabet tangled letters...  LOL...

Love, Light and Peace.... Bonnie   ps... please think World Peace... deep inside of you...  thanks...

Funny... the theme of the day!!!

 Funny.... is this funny Jenn??
I think these ATC's are so cute and so very funny... The Theme over at Just Add Water..... is to make Jenn laugh... and I hope that these do...

About three years ago, give or take a few years...  I use to do 100's of ATC's weekly... I was trading with over 75 people on a monthly basis and we all sent three ATC's...  wow.. it was a lot of fun.. I use to really love it greatly... the mail was always exciting... I would toss the bills aside and have a blast opening my mail!!!  The Good mail...  LOL...  but I needed to move on a little and since I had run out of room to store all these great little pieces of ART... (over 6000 of them)  I went onto other things... Meanwhile, I did save my very favorite ones... of which I still have... maybe only about 500 or so..  I had to limit myself...  they take up a lot of room...  LOL... they really do.. I had each one in a plastic pocket in a notebook.. and the 500 or so take up two notebooks... maybe I have a few more.. I just love them...  anyway the ones that I decided to give away I gave them to some gals that use them for making cards for nursing homes...  and also use for craft classes in nursing homes on how to make cards etc... so these great little pieces of art went on trips to other and new homes...
It is a hard thing to give up art for me... I am trying to clean out closets right now... and I personally have over XXXX cards... I am not saying at this minute how many I have... as it is way more than any human should have in a stash.. LOL... anyway... I am trying to catalog and list them, so that I can sell some... not all... just some... so that they will fit into one closet... does that tell you anything about how many I have....  I have stopped making cards... and now just work on my art journals.. which are starting to take up another closet... I am not going to talk about this anymore... way too much...  LOL... but ... the ATC's are the funny part of this story...

One of the gals I would trade with was Gay Davis... she lives in NM... and is one of the sweetest people going... she is very talented as you can see... and sees life in a totally fun way... so when I read this challenge I knew that I had to find her ATC's and do a page on her...  I always LOVED to get envelopes from her... she is really very very creative in so many ways..

The ATC with the lady by the refrig... it says.... A waist is a terrible thing to mind!!!  How funny is that...

And the little face... says... Nothing is so small that it can't be BLOWN out of proportion....  WOW... so very true too...

And this diva mermaid says
Imagination is more important that knowledge...

YES...

So here you have your laugh for the day Jenn...  and I had fun remembering all about my ATC's... now I have to get back to the task at hand and organize over 150 FALL cards that need to have pictures taken and then UPLOADED onto a blog to sell... the uploading part is where I will start to really pull my hair out... YIKES... but it will be good... I hope that people will buy these, after all that I have gone thru... and also keep my closet down to a low roar of cards...  not a pretty site...  I need to CLEAN HOUSE with all the things that I have made...

Hope you have a wonderful day...  if you are bored.. find something to create or come over to my house and help me organize some cards...  LOL...  Thanks for stopping by for a visit...

Can you find the CAT???

This month on Altered Alice we have the honor of having Dilly Beans as our sponsor...  So you will see some really cute digital images here...

Before I show you the finished page, I am going to walk you thru the process...as I get so many questions about how I built a particular page etc.. so here are the facts...
I started off with my favorite paper of all times... white CARD Stock!!!   nd I stamped some rubber stamps that I had made... I use so many leaves in my art, that these are amoug my fav's...  some archival Olive ink.. and that was done... then I used some Twinking H20's and colored the background...  I love this kind of look...  It is muted but great for the background of this active colorful page...

Here is a close up of the leaves
I also used a stencil with a gold dabber to create the branches...
Sorry I didn't take a picture prior to adding all the other things...

I have just gotten bitten by the Zen Tangle bug... and can't seem to stop doing everything in Tangles... LOL.. but I love it... so I had to add something to this challenge that I did in a tangle...  so here is my tree...  the 'snake' looking things are really suppose to be roots of the tree... oh well... I get carried away a little bit...

I did this with a micron pen and then added color pencil to it.. . and then cut it out for this journal page... as I needed the separated limbs for something....

Here is a close up of the branch... so that you can see all the little circles, and the leaves...

Also the limbs... which are all done in the same pen and colored pencil.
I love the tangles in this tree.. I had so very much fun with it all...

Here is the top of the page , which is all tissue paper that I have dyed with Dylusions... love those sprays...  the colors are so very vibrant...  anyway.. .when the papers are dry, I glue them onto the page... and allow them to go where they want too...
Okay...  so I created what is better known as a wiper card...  you can find the directions here... on SplitCoast Stampers... It is very easy to make... so I created that and attached it to my page... the reason for that is because I wanted to hide the little cat!!!

This is  the completed page... but you haven't seen it all yet... The Queen of Hearts and Alice are on their way to play croquet and they are walking to the palace... and Alice kept on feeling like someone was following them... and low and behold... guess who it was???

Here is a close up of Alice and the Red Queen of Hearts... how precious are they????

Well there he is.... in postion that you always see this crazy cat... peeking out from behind a tree... LOL...  he is so funny...  I love him....

Here is a close up of the little one... peeking out of the tree branches...  I had a lot of fun making this page... and after I finished it, my neighbor and friend Sande came over to play for  a little while... and she fell in love with it... she is an Alice lover too... so she can really appreciate it... she kept on making the cat hide and then come out.. we are truly like two little kids playing!!!  And I love it all..

Well... that is the first project.. let me see if I can get this next one up...

If you have forgotten the name of this particular blog is
'Can you find the cat?'
Well can you..???
You have to look into all the little cubbies of this configuration box... and maybe you will see him...

Look carefully now!!!! He truly is hiding!!!

On the very top of the configuration box, I had to add a Wonderland special... as things in Wonderland are never quite normal... or should I say that they are never quite the same as on this plane of living!!!  So I added a box that was a little bit unlevel!!!!  And put a dragonfly and a mushroom ...  the catterpillar has already turned into the beautiful butterfly... as you can see...

I took one of those gold butterflies and colored it with alcohol ink and then decorated it with Liquid Pearls...
A close up is below...

You can see the Blue and orange mushroom here... a good shot of the two mushrooms... which I made from air drying clay.. and then painted with my Ranger Alcohol ink refillable pens... which I love... I can make my own colors... which I do...  what fun!!!

A Wonderland configuration box is not complete with out a tea party... but there is no cat in any of these boxes at all..  I colored the little tea party and then added the little brass cup and saucer and tea pot...

My neighbor Sande and I were building these together... she was using the smaller one... but I had already started to make this one... but we were having fun making them..  She has these really cute little tags that she had picked up... and that is where I got this cute little tea pot tag... Thanks Sande...   Nest to that on the left... are the flowers with faces... the talking flowers.. see I told you that nothing in Wonderland is 'normal'!!!

No cat there either!!!!

Well here is Sweet little Alice... with the Drink me bottle behind her... and also the key is hanging up too...  but I don't see a cat.... do you???

This little bone china tea set, I bought about 25 years ago... and didn't know why... but I thought it was cute... only a few inches tall... and so cute... so I knew that it had to go into my Alice STUFF... and so here it is... I love it...   It was not made in China... it was made in Japan!!!
The Queen of Hearts sees that one of her roses is WHITE????
What is going on here!!!  But this cute little Queen doesn't seem the least bit upset over that...

As you can see here... but do you see the cat...???
I wonder where it is???

I wanted to add more things to this box... but I dont' have any right now... but as time goes on I will add more things to this... But I did add this pretty alcohol paper to this cubby...  no cat here either.. so where is that silly cat hiding now???  you never can tell when he will appear at all... what a fun place this Wonderland is!!!
Oh Wow... there is he...  all of a sudden he was there..!!!  Well I will be!!!

Hiding there all the time... I told you he was a crazy one... but how cute is he...

Well as you can see... I think that they little Dilly Beans are so very much fun...  I know that you will want to have them for your collection of ALICE things... so jump on over here and get them...

Okay... while I was building my configuration box, my good friend and neighbor Sande had to do hers too... she is the one that got me all involved in Altered Alice...  so I felt it was only fair that I show you her's too... It is so cute...

Well My charming dial up is at an all time low of 16kbps... very very slow.. but I am getting these pictures up.. but can't move them around or anything!!!  But you at least get to see them... right???

Sande used a piece of plastic and stamped the Queen on it... and then put the white and red roses behind it...

Anyway...  Can you see the cat in Sande's box...  no one can... because it is not in there yet...  so cute...  the tea cups are all weird... because it is Wonderland...   So wild...

Hope you enjoy this challenge.... I did... and I love these adorable Alice in Wonderland digital images  ...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and have a wonderful day in WONDERLAND!!!  It is a glorious place to play and live...
Love, Light and Peace....Bonnie
