Recycle your things

Okay... Grungy Monday has really gotten me going this week...  LOL.. here is another project...  I made this to wear... and have not wore it yet!!!

I made it from a piece of plastic from a Spellbinder folder... that plastic is so very thick that I don't like putting it into the land fill at all.. it is great though for project using Tim's resist with alcohol inks... LOVE IT...  both the inks, the technique and the necklace .... LOL...

anyway...  I used a large Fiskar stamp that I had gotten at the $1.00 store... and then a few inks on the felt blender... and then added some copper around the edges, and then a few corners...

And a few beads on the bottom of the piece...

I used a piece of vintage clip art in the center of the 'frame'....
I sanded off the corners to bring the copper out in them...

And using my Distress embossing powders, I colored the idea-ology as you can see...  what fun I have ...

Maybe I will be able to wear this with my new blouse!!!

What do you think...

Well... thanks for stopping by... and hope to see you tomorrow...
You never know what you are going to see here... do you???

All for Love

I wanted to make a bracelet for our Daughter and Daughter in Law... so I started to make the charms...
I used the ones from Idea-ology line... and added a few misc ones too...
Each necklace is loaded with charms... I used pictures from all kinds of sources...
The bracelets are not as loaded with charms... as that is hard to wear and do anything... and both gals are active... all day long...
I am showing you both necklaces... as they are really different in all ways... the pictures that you use make them different...

I glued the picture to the back of the 'charm' and then used a piece of tissue tape and then glossy accents... perfect...
I have worn mine a lot... and it is still in good shape... and I am hard on things...
I hope that the girls like theirs... and they get to wear them often...  a fun piece of jewelry...
I did use Sterling silver on the bracelets... and then used a silver chain for the necklaces... I ran out of silver chain... oooops...

Well ... if you haven't made one of these... they are truly simple... the hardest part is to let them dry... you have to do them .... and then step back... let them dry and then trim and put onto the necklaces... so much fun...

Hope you will give it a try... have a good... and thanks so very much for stopping by today... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
