The BEAUTY of Fall

I  LOVE the fall season... the colors are all so vibrant in the trees and it is yummy plus... the smells of fall arrive prior to the colors all being gone...  the smell of wood smoke, to keep the chill off in the morning, the smell of leaves and brush being burned by the farmers, as the season is over... cover crops are going into the grown... and the fall veggies are ready to harvest... with winter ones being covered up...  a whole new season of growing.. and in the south it is the time of the year when so many more veggies do grow the best, as the HOT HUMID weather is over.... you wouldn't know that today... it was very humid 80% and the heat was over 93.... very hot and humid....  time to gather up the fan and put one by the worktable and the computer... LOL... truth...  Our home is totally Air conditioned... but I dont' like to use the electric nor do I enjoy the falseness of air on in the house...  like to hear the birds singing... the winds coming up with a summer shower... and like right now all the night time insects are singing to out do the next... love it...

Okay... so Yes I have been having fun all day...

Wow... the first of the month and also a MONDAY... yikes... so many wonderful challenges... which to do first...

Well I write them all down on 3x5 cards... and see if I can match any up, and then I start to see what I have on my list to work on this week...  so many things... cards for an up coming sale... birthday cards...  Which... HEY JULIA... it is your birthday in 4 days... on September 5th... Happy Birthday to YOU...  I know you are only 29 this year... but a Happy Birthday anyway... hope if is a very happy one...

Okay... so now you know... this card is for the
and the theme is  AUTUMN COLORS with options of leaves and metal...  I did the leaves.. and also some paper beads...  and of course the Autumn colors... and here is my CARD...

I had made about 50 envelopes from a wall paper book... and this is one of them... I tried to match up the cards with them... this one is so great for a fall card... love it...

My butterfly is made from a stencil from Tims butterfly and then I used textured paste for the butterfly... cut it out and then painted it... and then I added glossy accent over it...  just for the luster...  the leaves are made out of kraft glassine and then inks are of course played with on them... to get the effect I want...

I also used a little white tulle and of course also used my distress inks to dye it... you have to let it dry over night... but it does work...  most likely alcohol inks would be better... but I love the colors of the distress inks...

So that is my card for this challenge... and I am sure I will most likely do something with metal too...  you never know... in fact something just popped into my head... LOL...

Hope you have a fun time making things for all the up coming challenges this fall month... it should be a very colorful month...  YEAHHhhhhhh ...  love it all..

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and see you in a little while.. .I have a lot more to post...

DREAMS.... Love them, don't you???

SUNDAY STAMPER.... Okay... Hels has really had a rough week this past week... a tummy virus and that is not fun in the summer months... She should really have taken it easy today as well.. but she did a challenge for us... so who am I not to do it...  better get busy I said...  and so I created this card set...

I really love making these sets... it is a small card with a cute envelope... and then a larger one made from Wall paper to fit the other envelope into...  I love it...  just so formal in an unformal way...  if you know what I mean...

I don't know about you... but so many things I make I have to keep... I just cant get rid of them... they are part of me...  LOL... and this one I love... bits and pieces of paper that are all special... and I love this Just Rite stamp...  and that pink butterfly!!!  Well I just most likely will save this one... unless I really need to send it to someone really special... which might happen also...

it says.... embrace your DREAMS... I am a firm believer of this...  all dreams to me are very important and special... If I could remember them all, I would have a huge journal...

These envelopes are a great way for me to use up SOME of the papers that I love to make....they are just the right size...  and they are so much fun to make and decorate... this one has one of the medallions that I love to make and use...  and then some cute rub ons from Ranger...  love them too..

Well.... that is my DREAM entry Hels... and my one WISH for this week is that you are feeling so much better that you will be ready to run the mile by tomorrow morning when you get up...  So take care and get better ....

Thank YOU for stopping by here for a visit... and thank you all so very much for all the lovely comments you have been sending me on my blog and also in my e-mails... I appreciate each and every one of them...

Have a wonderful day, evening, what ever, where ever you are... and I will see you tomorrow sometime with a few more challenges...

Using up things that I have fun making...

I love to create different things when I have the time to really experiment…  some times I don’t honestly feel like making a  whole card… but I feel like making flowers… or cutting with my BIG SHOT.. which is working GREAT now.. new parts and running super good… smooth as silk…

So this is sort of card made from a few days worth of things that all started to pile up on my work table…  I had made a bunch of roses… using Tim’s Tattered Pine Cone Die… love that one… never made a pinecone… as I really don’t like the way that they look… but I LOVE the way the roses come out… LOVE IT…  I made about 4 dozen of them…

sometimes I will make some buds… I will tear the ‘rose’ shape in half… using the first part of the cut out and then using the later part… I hope you understand what I mean… if you have the die you should be able to know what I am talking about… this way I get two small buds from One CUT out FLOWER…  you can see one of the buds on the top right section of these flowers…  99% of my flowers are made from white card stock that I have painted using different inks, paints, etc… you see that is another thing that I love to do and that is to create a lot of papers ready to play with…  The leaves were cut out by hand using a sheet of paper that I had stenciled on… LOL… waste not want not…  a good motto…

Then I had been playing with a Spellbinder die cut set that I hadn’t really ever cut out all the pieces too… so I cut out all the dies… from the largest to the smallest…  and used 3 of the 5 here…  I again used my newest little mini distress ink pads with a round blending tool… love the way they put the ink onto the paper…  nice and I am very able to control the flow of where I really want the ink to land…

I also love to play with my Just Rite Stamps…  and so I had quite a few of them ready to go… some of them are my favorites..  this is one that was laying on my work table… and so I inked it up and used it for this card… I do have the Dies to cut these shapes out… but prefer to do it by hand…  ??? Just love being a cut up… LOL…

Do you like to buy unique pads of paper… I do… strange aren’t we..???  anyway. .I have a BIN of 6x6 pads… and love to look thru them, and grab a background to use for a card or page in a scrapbook…  that is what happened here…  a 6x6 piece of paper was meant to be in the background here…

Oh yes… and a Cherry Lynn Butterfly… which I love, but will not be using these dies anymore… read all about why in yesterdays blog…

So after seeing all these things laying around in a bin ready to be used… I can make a card in less than 10 minutes… as everything is done… just have to play around with where you want things to go… and then find your glue stick…  hardest part…

Thanks for listening and reading all my words…  I am a wordy person…  LOL… love sharing though and I hope you enjoy it too..  Have a GREAT day… and see you back here again  tomorrow…

Another special gate card with a panel

Sometimes a card is more than special to you... it might not be the way it looks as much as what you felt while you were making it... a really good feeling and lots of love and peace...

With out saying too much more...

Okay... do you see the circle cut in the center of the medallion... when the card is closed you see the word love... that is stamped in the center of the card... you will see it below..

A vintage girl.. and a medallion...  okay.. the underneath section is a Just Right stamp... and the leaves are a stamp I made...  love my leaves...

When you open the card... this is the inside section of the left panel...  the medallion is on the back side of the front circle...

This is the card open entirely...

The center section...

The right panel...

So there is that special card... I personally totally enjoyed making it...  and love all the punching, faeries, and LOVE...  just a fun filled card...

Thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit... have a great day... enjoy it every second of the whole day... enjoy being ALIVE... live it to the fullest...

Blue forget me nots...

I love this particular clip art and wanted to make a special card using it...  I wanted the clip art to wrap around the tea bag folded medallion...  so here it is...

I love this one... I used a blue ink around the edges of the punched area.. and then a little green...  vintage looking a little bit at least...  and then went to town having fun..

the clip art going over the medallion

the inside of the card... when you open the first flap...

The little faeries of the flowers are so very special to me... love them...

Just right stamps are layered in this one too...

when you open the last flap... you see this... a special pocket to put a gift into and or a special message...  I used just a punched piece of paper, leaving space for writing...

Love this card and it will go out to someone  very special ... no matter who it goes to, I hope they enjoy it...

Please don't forget, I do sell 99% of my cards... so if you are interested in any, please let me know and I will tell you the pricing and also get them out to you as quickly as possible...  next day is always an option...

Have a wonderfully creative day in all ways...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and see you tomorrow...

Sweet Violets

Quite  a few favorites here.. I love the colors of this whole picture... the teal butterfly paper is from K and Co... and it is so pretty...  I was saving it for a SPECIAL occasion... and this was it...

I added the violets which are a another favorite flower of mine and also the Just Rite shape...  the other favorite here is the little tag...
A friend of mine gave me the tag punch... thanks Victoria... and I love it... it is a Fiskcar punch and I would never have bought it, as I wouldn't think I would use it that often... but in reality I use it the most of any punch I have ever had!!!!

I have some little stamps that just fit in the punch area and I am happy with that...  but these violets I love the most...

They are not released yet... but if you order your collections between now and the end of May, I will make sure you also get this violet...  it is so cute with daisies... and for all those that have received their collections... I will send you one too..  how is that... dont' like to have anyone feel like they missed out on something...  and this violet is a special little one..

It comes with two buds... one single bud and also a double bud...  the leaves are in the greenery area of your folders...

Thanks for taking a look and hope that you will take advantage of this special on Pretties by Bonnie and don't forget to remind me about the violet!!!

Have a fun and creative day... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

My LUCKY and favorite number is 6

Trying to get back into the swing of things is sometimes a hard thing... but I am trying to get it all done... Today being SUNDAY.... it is time for Hels Sheridan's Stamper Sunday... and since I didn't do her challenge last week and felt horrible about it... I HAD to do it this week...

I love the theme... my favorite number is 6 and it has always done well by me... and so I call it lucky too...  I used one of Tim's numbers... and hammered it a little and then used some alcohol inks and colored it... then sanded it off what was needed... funny how we do things... but it is all fun, isn't it???  LOL...  anyway... I then had fun making the dress form... I used some of that honeycomb paper... and cut the form out... and glued it onto the form I had cut out of grunge board...  what fun... prior to doing all that gluing, I did use some distress inks on the honeycomb... I used Antique Linen... for a lightly used look.. or a little more vintage look...

I used a few colors on my background... and then embossed it and then colored over the embossing with Coffee archival ink...  love the look of that... then added some Martha lace... and a few flowers and leaves around...
Some Just Rite pretties... love these particular stamps... so nice with this dress form...

My neighbor and I did the same tag... and yet hers and mine look nothing alike... I love them both... they are both rich in color... and the honeycomb on the dress form was fun to do...

Such fun...
I tucked a few little bows around the form.. one on top and one on the bottom... just for that frilly look of the honeycomb...

Well the weather was really wonderful here today... and hope that you all had a wonderful Easter... I spent most of the day creating an Etsy store...  so much up loading.. I had a hard time with it...  but dial up is not fun no matter what... wish I had a faster speed of internet service... this 45 kbps is SLOW....
but it is better than nothing... at least I can share and see a little bit of stuff...

Which brings me to the end of this blog... Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and see you all real soon...

Dressmaker Frills

Grungy Monday...Linda really got me on this one...
The Challenge is to use some of Tim's Techniques that were used on the 12 Tags of Christmas... so that meant I had to make a decision!!!  not a good thing for me to do today...  LOL... Way too many techniques... and I love them all... so I started off choosing which ones I hadn't used for over a week!!!

On January 1st I used Tissue tape, and glossy accents on the box... and then on the 2nd I used all kinds of techniques for paper pieces for the Patchwork Pandominium Framed art work... and then Tissue flowers on the New and Old Stripes for the Altered Alice piece... and I used letters on Tim's Birthday card... also a lot of folder embossing...  On January 3rd... I used tissue wrap on the little santa house... that was really fun...
On the altered Address Box I used inking and letters... and of course I had to buy some new dies... so I got the letters of Upon a time... and Tag and Tab die... love that one... and the stamp of Letters to Santa... which as you know I will be using year round the words... love it...

I made a forest of little trees from the Rosettes and that brings me up to here...  so I have been having fun with the techniques already .... and putting them into my daily usage... as much as I can... that is the only way you make them part of your work...

So on this tag... I used the technique from Day #9 .... I stamped a 6x6 Impression Obsession background tag with Victorian Velvet... and then quickly used Clear embossing powder on it... and heat gunned it... then I used Brushed Corduroy on the blending tool for the edges and background... there are areas, which are now covered up, that were left white... I love that look.. and maybe if I didn't get so carried away with adding all these fun things you could see it...

You can see the background here a little bit more... and then also the Just Rite stamp.  which I colored with some very soft markers...  the paper flowers are soft too...

The Rosettes are made with paper from My Minds Eye and Prima... I took 6x6 papers and glued them together so they would make the nice rosettes... and then used a pearl on the center... to match the ones along the tissue ruffle...  I used a piece of seam binding tape for the vine... which was colored with a stain... and I think it was Shabby shutters??? not really sure right now...
I used some Idea-ology too... the Trinket pin and the word token... Moments...

And then used as stated above the tissue paper on a roll for the ruffle...  love that... and a little Martha Stewart paper lace...

Of course the main mannequin is made from a Tim die... and I used sticky back canvas... which I distressed and then inked with Victorian Velvet and Antique Linen Stains...  Is this frilly or what... I love it... but it all started out with the wonderful background... so it couldn't help but be fun to play with...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit and please go to Grungy Monday and see all the pretties... and also stop by Tim's site for more fun and wonderful eye candy.

Have  a fun day... see you tomorrow with more things...

Victorian Velvet flip tag

I just HAD to make this Spring little flower and bird flip tag card.... just a simple little thing... two tags and then folded and a secret space on the inside for a surprise...
The Flower if made from a baby wipe... and also Tim's Tattered Floral die... love that die... most versatile and well used one I have...

Open it up... (Velcro dot) and behold... spring has arrived!!!!  Wish it would... not too long now...
Each piece of the Just Rite is cut and stamp, and colored...  love these layers of pretties...

Try it... you will love it too..
Enjoy and thanks for stopping by for a visit.... Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

Reindeer Joy

Another Tag for Tim's 12 tags of Christmas... Loved making these tags with the charms...

This one I make a tag type of thing at the bottom...

I used a Just Right stamp to create the Joy area...

The background of the tag was made with Impression Obsession stamps...
Here is the bottom area... I made the paper behind the Just Rite Tag with Impression Obsession 6x6 stamps... love playing with them...  so very much fun... have you tried them yet???

I have had friends stop in off and on all day long today... and have totally enjoyed my day...

Have one more tag to finish... and then going to enjoy a nice dinner that my Hubby is making for me...

One more tag to go....

This tag also appears on Inspiration Emporium… so please take a few minutes and check out all the WONDERFUL tags there… they look so different and I personally think there are some there that are not on Tim’s … but check it out…

Thanks Shelly for telling me about this site… I love it… will be going there often…  that is for sure… my kind of site…

Merry Holly

Well today... another pretty tag to make... wow... one right after the next...  this one was a lot of fun to make..  I got all the pieces made... and then put it all together... it was FUN!!!

I do hope that you have tried to make them all.. there is so much to do and learn... try it if you haven't already...
I didn't have all the things that Tim used... but that is the fun part of this... using things that we already have... creating from that point...

I used a Just Right stamp for the back ground of Merry Christmas... and then used Impression Obsession on the background... have you used any of the new 6x6 stamps... love them... and then also the color box ink pads... loaded with ink to give you the MAX on your print... love them...  My background though did get a little too dark for the look I really wanted... so I toned it down to where I desired it... and I could do that with my Picket Fence Distress stain... how did we ever live with that stuff..??? I use it all the time on things that I could never have thought that I would be able to correct something...  LOL... now I just keep on going!!!!

For my arrangement I went along pretty much with Tim's directions... but I don't think the intensity of my alcohol inks were dark enough... I should have used more... maybe I picked up the diluted piece... when I do something like this... ink Glassine paper... I always do a couple... always fun to use later on another project.. so I might have picked up the wrong sheet...  I did use the picket fence distress stickles on the branches... but will most likely use something a little whiter later to bring the white color up a little...

I used lace, a piece of gold mesh... and some yarn that is a 'glittery' in nature...  my pearls to dye were fun... but I do that kind of thing all the time... and I do save my little bags CLOSED so that I might not have to use more ink... which today I didn't.. I had dyed something yesterday so that was good... every little bit helps...

Hope you can play with making this tag today... it was fun.. thanks for stopping by for a visit... I love it when you do...  See you tomorrow with #8... only 4 more to go... I could keep on doing this for a lot longer... LOL..  Love it..
Have a fun day...

The Last Butterfly

The last tag for Birthdays this year…  LOL… then I have to start on next years… so I am in luck… I love to do these …

This is also for the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge… I have entered a FEW things this time, as I have really enjoyed the theme of WOMEN this time… and I got out some old stamps and enjoyed them again…  which is always fun for me… So thanks again SSSS….

I used a background that I had made a while ago…  it is with a couple of mini misters… and are very mixed colors… but I love it… I then dribbled iridescent Medium by Winsor & Newton all around the tag… ( it looks silver like…  )

This little picture of this little girl… waving to the last butterfly… ( as I see it that is )  is so very precious… I just had to use it… I added some larger butterflies…

and then added a spellbinder circle with butterflies all around it… to the back… with a saying from Just Rite stamps…

It is going on a present to my Mom… her birthday is officially on Nov 31…. She is turning a young 92… !!!
Still walking and shopping as much as she can get anyone to take her… she is 95% blind… so some one always has to be with her… but she can do some things… like make flowers!!!  Amazing huh???
Can’t cut her food… but uses a childs pair of scissors to make flowers…

Happy Birthday …. To all of you out there…
Thanks for stopping by for a visit… and see you tomorrow….  With more goodies…

Sitting Pretty

This week the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge theme is WOMEN…. So I had to make some more tags… I just HAD to… now two ways about it…  I felt the need to use some stamps that have been screaming at me for a LONG time…
I also just got some of the new 6x6 background stamps from Impression Obsession… so I have used them t oo… I love them …. They are wonderful …. Hope that you like them too if you have them… I think they are an asset to any collection of stamps…
I also used some Just Rite Stamps… and some of Martha’s Punches…  and of course Spellbinders…

These tags are a little Shabby Chic… and a little of this and that… but I really had fun with them.. .that is for sure… I am going to use them for Birthday present tags on the front of a white bag… so very perfect.. and I have a lot of them coming up… so these will give me a head start…

This tag represents Sitting Pretty in life… and we can all be that woman… but we have to work to get there if we are not already there…  we need to be in full control of our inner and outer person… and realize the responsibility of all of that goes along with that …. Create life to the fullest and enjoying each and every second of the day with ourselves, others and of course our partners…

The background on this tag is very faint… but I used a white dabber and also the paisley print to create the background… as life can be so much fun in all ways… and you never know where it is going to take you… enjoy the ride.. and yet be in control of you… .

Hope that you have a wonderful day… walk proud … and enjoy yourself in all ways…  thanks for stopping by for a visit… I love your visits…. Love, Light and Peace....Bonnie
