Winter trimmings

Oh Winter is on the bough... or so they say... we have had some very nice warm weather the past week... and it is now starting to think about winter... we had to put a fire on today to take the chill out of the house... it was a wee bit nippy... so Winter is coming... and my moods are changing from fall to winter...

The challenge this week at Just Rite was a Sketch challenge... I love to do Sketch Challenges... so this was a lot of fun... Out came the paper .... stamps... oh now which ones to use... I decided since I had to use a square that it would be fun to use a circle... yes... I had to use a circle... ontop of a square... that would be perfect... so these are the cards I made...

I have wanted to make a PINK snow card for a while now... so I used this adorable little skating bird and added all the pinks I could...
Pink Berries on the holly... and pink background... and this
Huge snowflake from Spellbinders newest snowflake 2010... Wow... it is lovely... I also used the holly stripe from Cuttlebug... and used Ranger inks to accent the holly leaves...

I used a Grand Lace border and ribbon to make the bottom border... and snowflakes from a Martha punch...
I love this little bird... so sweet just skating along with the snow blowing all around it... how wonderful is that...

Another view...
I made this a little darker, so that you can see more of the details...

I added a lot of pearls to the snowflakes and also to the individual snowflakes

A closup of this adorable little skater...

Now for those of you who know me...
You know that one is not ever enough...
So here is the second card...

You might also know that I love to create all white
cards... this one is sort of a little bit different... as I
had to add a little bit of color on the stamped in areas... I just HAD to... it felt funny not adding color to these

Holly leaves and wreath.... so it is almost all white..  but I love the way it turned out..... even with the color..

I used the Martha flowers to act as poinsettieas... and then all the punches to create the band for the sketch...

Please check out the blog so you can see the sketch...  Just Rite  is the place to go... also make a card and join in on the fun...

So this card will be there in the gallery... Hope that you have a nice day planned... and that you enjoy the rest of the fall season.. as winter is on the bough...

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the world and to see a little bit of the winter feelings.. ...

With Wings

With wings on my feet... I just wish I did have wings on my feet... yikes what I could get done.. can you imagine????

Oh well back to reality... now what really is reality???? I live everyday creating with paper all kinds of realities... and this is another reality of fantasy... a little precious kitten with wings... pinks ones no less... LOVE IT...
Of course it is real... I did it... I know and I can see it and feel it...

I also drew these flowers last night and then scanned them, and changed the colors, made them smaller and tiny... and did all kinds of fun things with them...

So they ended up on this challenge card for Sweet Pea Challenge... where something has to have wings... don't we all have wings... we just can't see them...

I also drew the leaves on the green paper.... and used a gold gel pen for the accents... love to doodle and draw...

Also after hours of trying different types of picture taking... I finally took this picture in total darkness... can you believe that ... and then took it into Photo Adobe and lightened it up... so I have been having fun in many directions... Hope that you like this... and enjoy the flowers at this time of year... I personally love flowers all the time... not just when they are blooming outside... they bloom all year long in my life... LOL...

Have a fun day... totally enjoy... and thanks for stopping by for a visit... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Be Inspired Cuddlebug Challenge

Oh Halloween is ALMOST here... and it is getting scary outside.... ohhhhhhh so scary... boo and you jump...

Well I wanted to give my grandson a spooky card... and so I created this one for him... and also combined it with the Challenge for a pop up card for Be Inspired on the Cuttlebug Challenge... Of course it has to be a Halloween card... and of course it has to be a little bit scary... or else it wouldn't have to be a pop up card!!!!

So with all these things... I set out to make Dear Riley of 6 years old a card...

The front of the card.... not really all that scary yet...
a spiderweb... by Cuttlebug of course... and some bats, leaves (cut out by Cuttlebug dies) and a pumpkin which also is cut out by Cuttlebug die...

Not really all that scary... but I don't like spiders... do you???  not that big ... and BATS.... ugh.. not my cup of tea...

Purple bats on top of it... they have to be good bats though to be purple.... LOL...

And then you open the card up....

WOW... I went wild... I had so much fun making all these little figures pop up.. that I almost wore the card out opening and closing it... LOL...

The background I of course used my Ranger inks to create... and then I stamped some typical fall brush... and of course a few crows hanging around...

Then I added some more purple bats...
The bats and all the characters are by Joylee... I got them all at the Dollar store... along with all the candy that is all over the ground...

This really does all fold down when the card is closed...

Here is a side view...

You can see the built up bottom, and also the fence sort of holds it all in place...(to the eye)  The shadows... all natural ... I photographed it so that it looked SPOOKYier than it was...

So much fun...

When he got the card he called to tell me it was really a scary card... and that he loved the spiders... and all the fun people... to be 6 years old again... wow... so much ahead to look forward to in life...

Hope that you have a popping fun Halloween...

Since I was sending this to my grandson, I had to send this to my daughter... when she was a little girl, she wanted to be a pumpkin... so I made a pumpkin outfit... the kind that you now see where the body is the pumpkin... well I stuffed the pumpkin with newspaper... it was so heavy... and she could hardly sit... oh well... live and learning on my part... Anyway... a card to remind her...

I used a pretty Embossing plus folder... He Loves me... and cut the heart out a little more with the oval Spellbinder die... accented with some little spellbinder pieces...

Oh yes the little house mouse all dressed up in a pumpkin...

I used my Cuttlebug leaves for accents... and of course a spider... some of the leaves I ran thru swiss dot... for some more texture...

Okay... open the card up...

And I used the frame from the Heritage group of embossing folders... love it... so many great new embossing folders from Cuttlebug... and I have to have them all..

A perfect place for this little one to balance on this Martha fence... Add a little pumpkin looking up at him... and it is a done deal...

I know that she remembers this time... and hope that the card is a positive reminder for her too... as I did always love making costumes for the kids... and would spend hours making them...

Hope you have a fun time getting ready for Halloween... spooky or not... just enjoy...

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to join the challenge at Passionately Artistic site...   You might even will a prize...

Anyway.. .I will tease you with one card... and to see the others you will have to go to
PRETTIES BY BONNIE  to see the other cards and the digital image...

Almond Fudge YUMMMMMM

This week for Just Rite Challenge I have made the following goodies... The challenge is to share recipe, share an idea for a cookie swap, all that kind of Christmas fun stuff... so I created this...
I will show you each piece indivisually also... and explain the whole set also.... I love to make fudge... but the mess and the time... ugh... but this recipe takes one bowl... and less than 5 minutes... okay the hardest part is waiting for it to chill in the freezer!!!  that is an hour... not fun... but make a card or something... LOL...

This whole set up is for a cookie exchange... the Stand up tag... is to put next to a plate filled with Almond fudge..... oh how wonderful it tastes... that is so that everyone knows what it is... and how 'sinfully delicious' it is...
I used the Spellbinder die, with the paper folded so that it made a stand up small card...
And then used a couple of other layers to create the red and green background papers... which by the way are that wonderful core'dinations paper... love it...

On the very top... the Just rite stamp... except I didn't stamp the word JOY that is in the stamp... and I hand wrote the words Almond Fudge...
I colored the Just Rite stamps with Tombow markers...

Black pearls are on the beaded oval...

Then... to put some samples in... so that everyone gets to take sme home... I made these fun little boxes...
Each box holds a couple of pieces of Fudge... that I wrapped prior to putting it into the freezer... You will understand that after you see how EASY it is to make this sinfully delicious FUDGE...
Okay.... this is one of my very favorite-est Christmas papers... and last year Brenda found some and bought me a few extra sheets... I thank you again Brenda... I have one sheet left... ugh... I use it very sparingly to say the least... I just love it... It was made by Provo... so you know it is an old paper...

I used a paper punch by Blue Hill that has the cutest little birds on it... and cut is apart, so that a section was on each side of the box... and then put burgundy ribbon around the box in two directions...
Of course on the top of each BOX....

An adorable little tag of HOLLY... how special is that... Just Rite stamps seem to fit into every area of our lives... just look and see how many different places you can use them... You will be surprised... I just think this is the finishing touch to this adorable little box of Almond Fudge...

What do you think???

Cute or what...

Here is the box done in another paper... and for the swap, I will most make each box different... choices are fun... each box though will have the same amount of Fudge!!!

This box I used a piece of burgundy holly paper... and a dard green cardstock bottom... again I did use the same Blue Hill Punch on the bottom.

Also used the same Holly stamp on the tag...

When something is perfect... why change it...

Right???

Now for the part you have been waiting for...
I know YOU....
You might think I don't... but I DO  know YOU...

This is the recipe card...
Don't bother to copy this... I will have it below... and it is the ENTIRE long version...

Anyway.. .I used a few Label 17 by Spellbinder... adn created this recipe tag... which I will make one for each person to take home, along with thier little box of Fudge... On the top of the card... which does stick up a little bit higher... so that you can find the recipe easier... is the Spellbinder scalloped ovals... and in the center of the white one, I have used again the holly with the Almond Fedge that I wrote... Next thing on my list of stamps to buy are letters... I love those and have to get me some... that is for sure... but for now, this works... I used Tombow Markers to color it in..

Now for the recipe..

ALMOND FUDGE

1 cup of almond butter        1 t. Vanilla
¼ Raw Agave                       ¼ cup Cacoa Powder
Mix …. Wrap in wax paper    Hard part
Put in freezer for one hour    Cut and serve…

Okay… now I have added a few things from time
To time also… Like some chocolate chips… chopped
Up sunflower seeds, or any kinds of your favorite
Nuts or seeds… they are so wonderful in this…
I also have even put in some Gogi berries and dried
Cranberries… so have fun with this recipe…

If you are using another type of ‘sugar’ I most likely
would add more… agave is a wonderful sweetner and
very sweet, so less can be used… which is good for us
in all ways..  try it… it is really delicious.

When I make this, I do make it into a few different wraps,
as you most likely will eat all that you take out of the
freezer…. Otherwise you will be making this all the time… LOL..
It is delicious! ! ! !

The hardest part is really waiting for the fudge to freeze... and also not to eat the entire batch of it...
Have fun making this... and enjoy giving it also...

Hope you will have fun today... and take a look at the Challenge on Just Rite... add your recipe to the list and maybe you will win the newest of their STAMPS.... wow... what a gift...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... I really appreciate you coming by... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

October Group Meeting FUN ! ! ! !

Every month the stamps group I belong to… called Whipperstampers meets… and this month we made a fun card… and also flowers…some out of tissue paper and some with a punch and button…

I had fun teaching… and didn’t really get to make or do anything else…but as always being with the group and sharing is the most fun anyway…

So here I am again sharing and being with you…
Here is the card style that we made… I think if you scroll down you will see a FEW more using this same style… it has been an all time favorite since Marie and I made it last Friday…

The Pumpkins and Colander are from PRETTIES BY BONNIE…. and I used my markers to color them… The back panel is of course a Spellbinder that I stamped with an Inkadinkadoo round stamp… and then used my Ranger inks to color it…

I used a few Martha Punches on the side and lower panel….To make this card, you start out with a 6x 12 piece of paper and when finished you have a card that is almost 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide.. a big card... but so wonderful to stand somewhere to show off how much you love the person you sent it too... so make one and send it to someone SPECIAL...

A side note… I used this card style (scroll down) to create a card for the Just Rite challenge… I used the Spellbinder apples and also the GREAT Apple Stamp that Just Rite has… and I placed second in the challenge with this card…

This is the so much fun… I can hardly wait to start to get some of the prizes I have won with Just Rite… Stamps, Spellbinders, and now Flower Soft… wow…  so many great gifts…

Okay… FLOWERS…  I taught two different types of flowers… one was the tissue paper flower… you have seen plenty of my cards with them on them… and then I found some where on the web this adorable flower made with a 14 scalloped punch and then a button in the center…

Here are a few of the cards I made as examples, using this flower…

On these cards I have used all kinds of things... Martha Stewart punches, Spellbinders, other punches and papers by assorted companies...

I used all kinds of fun embossing folders by Cuttlebug... and then cut out my own things like leaves and stems...

Adding some ribbon here and there... and pearls for accents is all part of the fun...

I can add and add to cards... I have to stop myself at times...

Hope you enjoy these…  I loved making them... and adding all the fun details...

Hope you have a fun day....
Also check out some of my other blogs... you can get to them all by going along the right side of this blog...

I am posting a Halloween book today on Art Between the Pages.... so take a look... just click on the picture and it will take you there...

Thanks so very much for visiting my blogs... and coming here to see what I have been playing with...

Enjoy your day... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Be Inspired #106 Happy Fall

I wanted to create some fun Favors for a Fall dinner...
Each person will have a different one... and they will all have thier names on them when I am totally finished... but need to make a few more... but wanted to share this with you all for Be Inspired Wednesday!!!!

Our name has changed... we are now called Passionately Artistic and you can find all the fun there as always... please join us this week and create a challenge card... we would love to have your work on display... that is for sure...

Okay... now for the Favor for Fall...

Taking a piece of card stock and making a simple base... or even using a small box for the favor to fit into... I made a  simple base with card stock and then covered it... naturally with some inked embossed paper... I had so very much fun... and of course everything on the entire favor is inked!!!!  I was a mess when I finished... but so happy... I love to get into the inks and create a fun paper...

On this one I used the branch of leaves and then the pumpkin naturally is popped...

As you can see here, the sides are colored and not really deep... but this one is the larger one... it is about 2X3 space to hold a nice little favor...

It might be a small gift... or a snack??? You never know..  and I am not telling... don't want to spoil the fun..

I used the black paper to accent the front panel...

This little favor, is made of course with Spellbinders... and then embossed with you favorite Cuttlebug folders...

How easy... how much fun.. and what a great favor... quick and easy too..

Okay... I have one more to show you today...

This one was a little bit different... I used the single paper for the front and the back of the favor... and then added a label from the New Embossing Plus Fancy Labels... what fun.. I also stenciled the front of it... and then wrote the name on it...

I used  the paisley embossing folder on the sides... A little lime bow... and done...

What a fun project... I might even do some with other types of stamps etc... but I love using the pumpkins for the theme... so I most likely will continue... as we are having pumpkin soup... and stuffed pumpkin.... so I think I better...

Hope to see your work on display at the challenge.... and that you have a FANTASTIC Day playing and creating...

Christmas is only 87 days away!!!!

Oh WOW... Chirstmas isn't that far away.... and Christmas cards need to be finished, addressed and ready to mail... so don't let time fly by any faster than it is...

This Trio of fun Digital Images is really packed with so many ways to use it...
Here are two more ideas...

This one I have used the Poinsettia and the holly branches to create a display of Christmas Cheer...

One of the reasons I fell in love so with digitals is that they can be made ANY size you desire... so this one has medium size poinsettia and holly...

But you can make the poinsettia any size you NEED TO...

I added t he white 'doily' by using a punch by BLue Hill... love this one...

Okay... now this card, I used the same background... but did make an entirely different card style... 100% different...
I used the Holly wreath on this card...

All three digitals are on sale at
PRETTIES BY BONNIE
for  only $5.00 .... a real bargain... and they are all yours to create with over and over...

This wreath I printed twice and then cut one out and popped it... it is very delicate looking in real life...

I added the simple white trims... and was done other than adding the pretty white bow...

Hope that you like these...

Now here is the same card... but I took the picture with a white background...
it looks so very different... and that is why I had to show it to you...

I am having problems getting this card up here...
So you will have to Scroll down to see it... LOL...

I guess that is why they are going to be
doing Maintenance tomorrow...
So many problems with the blogs...

Anyway... here it is...
You can now see that there are dark green sides... and the white is on top of them...

Also this view you can see the dimensions of the card... which are really nice...

If I do say so!!!!

Hope that you enjoyed these...
And please take a trip over to Pretties by Bonnie and take a look at all the other cards that have been made with these digitals also...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... see you tomorrow...

Fall is APPLE TIME! ! !

This week on Just Rite Blog… the challenge is so much fun… and the PRIZE…. $50.00 of Flower Soft… wow… I love Flower soft… I have a few colors… but $50.00 worth… I could really have fun with that… so buggie on over and put up a few cards… you do have to use Just Rite Stamps… so get them out and make a card for Fall…

I have made a ‘few’ for the challenge… and just made this one too.. This one I put my Brown Flower Soft on, underneath the basket of apples… I love the way it looks… I really love this stamp anyway… the apples in the basket, with the bittersweet on the sides… just so country and GREAT…  I used my markers to color it… and then used a soft beige chalk on the background… don’t think it shows up too much in the picture… but it is there.

Okay… so I also used my Apple Spellbinder border… Which I used chalks to color… a little on the light side, but soft…  and also the Spellbinder Grand Lace, Ovals and then used a Paisley Cuttlebug Folder… so many fun toyz… I then got a little carried away with all the pearls… but I used red on the borders… and white on the bottom Grand Lace… and the black around the Big Scallop Oval…

Lots of textures… lots of layers… and so I took a picture of the side view so that you can see them all.  I went a little crazy with Pop dots too... LOL... I love textures...

The card base is Bazzill paper and so are the two shades of green… again another texture added to the card..

Hope you enjoy this…
I certainly had a fun time making it…

Hi Patti… hope that you get yours made… I also hope that you start your blog, so that I can see all the pretty cards you make all the time… Patti is a friend who I met thru Tea Bag Folding… we have stayed friends… and she is always sending me the prettiest cards… today she wanted to know how to make this kind of card… and I didn’t feel like writing it all down… so I asked for her phone number and walked her through it… BINGO… is was done… she was in love at first fold… easy and quick to make… Love to see it Patti… and I do hope you get a blog started… Soon…

Blogs are really easy to start… up at the top of this blog there is a place where you can click… it says Create a blog… and before you know it… you have a blog… create a name and you are into the world of blogging… it is addictive.. and really a lot of fun…

Well have a fun day… create a card… post it on your new blog… and share with others…

Thanks for visiting my blog… and thanks to all who leave a message… I really appreciate it greatly… THANKS…

Fall colors are ALIVE ! ! ! and JUST RITE

Today I have been playing with some more fall colors... and totally enjoying using them...

I created another one of the split cards as I love making them... they are so wonderful in real life... really dimensional...and stand up very nicely.

On this one I used a stamp from Stacy, and that is about all I know... Stacy is the company.!!!

It is corner stamp... so I colored it and created a nice niche for it... there was also one large Zinnia and so I cut that in half... since I stamped this when Marie was here... I only stamped one... silly me... I used swiss dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug and then a couple of punches by Martha...  and then for the finishing touch... a JUST RITE!!!  sentiment.... what else... perfect for this card... and this will go into the challenge which is for FALL theme...

This card was so much fun... I started off with a fun time inking up the Embossed background... which you can hardly see at all...LOL... but I had fun... and my hands and arms were inky plus... loved every minute of it... did a few others while I was all messy too... I love creating backgrounds that way... Then I mounted the background onto the orange (actually a light melon color) which I had punched with  a Martha Stewart Maple leaf corner and border punch set...

Then I had made some leaves with the Tim Holtz die template and so I added them... and then for the finishing TOUCH....  JUST RITE!!!!  A few sentiments... and also a frame which I colored also... and the tag which I colored... I told you I was having fun!!!!
Here is the close up of the sentiments.. they are so wonderful for this time of year... and fit so perfectly with the leaves and the fall colors..

I am having a little bit of trouble keeping the pictures where I want them to stay... so this one is going to move down as I type...

Thanks for stopping by... hope you have
had a wonderful fall day...

A paler shade of Pink

Oh what fun we had yesterday... Marie came up ... with a HUGE assortment of new toyz... and we played all day long with all these new toyz... all kinds of punches, embossing folders, die cuts of all kinds and stamps.. wow... we just had FUN PLUS.... I slept like a baby too... my mind was spinning, but I slept...

Anyway... Marie had brought along some toys... which if you want all the details... you will have to go to her blog to get the info... CraftEMarie...  she has all the links etc... but we had fun... she had brought the directions for this card... and also the one below... so we started to make this one together... but we soon were off on our direction...

She had to make a challenge card with Butterflies... so I had been looking for a long time... at least over two months... for this one SPECIAL piece of butterfly paper... and never could find it... I knew the plaid on the back of it... and also the butterflies on the front... but couldn't find it... but yesterday when she said butterfly paper.... I turned around and it was sticking up... so it was the right time to use this SPECIAL piece of paper... I love this paper... soft, sweet, colors are wonderful... and when I bought it I only bought two pieces... why??? I don't know... but you know all about those things... so I don't have to go there..

So I split the paper and we each used a piece of it... ( I still have half of it left... so we need to do another card with it Marie...I will wait until you come up to play again so we can finish it up...)  for this special card...
Isn't this just so delicate and pretty...

The borders are just wonderful..  Marie has the link for that on her site...
The butterfly... Spellbinder...

and the border at the bottom...
A new Martha punch... !!!!

Love it too...

The view from the other side...

I just love this card...
Love the delicateness of it...

Each part that we added just made it more perfectly delicate...

The Martha PUnch is so pretty too...
I doubled that to create a place for the ribbon...

When you look at this card sideways...

Oh how perfect...

I did make a mistake when I first did this one... I scored in a place where I shouldn't have... but only someone who has made one would notice it...
Other wise... it is really an easy fun pattern... and not difficult at all..

Okay... I generally don't put anything on the inside of my cards... I had write a message or sometimes I will stamp something... but hardly ever decorate the inside... but MARIE made me do it...

So here is the inside of my card...

I used a Just Rite stamp and also the ovals by Spellbinder... and the new Martha Punch around the 5 x 5 square... which fit perfectly on the inside of this card...

I love this card... and Thank You again Marie for being YOU...
for sharing, for coming up and playing, for enjoying our time together... Loved every minute of it...

Hope that you also will enjoy this time together and that you will try and make this card... Marie has the direction link on her blog... so please go and get the directions and make one... it is really easy...

Hope that you have had a wonderful day so far... and that you continue to do so... I just cleaned a basket of garlic and shallots for planting... which is now on going ... over in the main garden... LOL... we only have one huge one... but it sounds impressive doesn't it????  LOL... Enjoy...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Fall Pears

This year we have had some nice pears off our trees... I generally bake them as they are so very delicious that way... a little cinnamon and nutmeg... wow... how delicious... Anyway... I had some new toyz and wanted to play with them... also Marie was over and we were creating this fun card.... I love it... going to make a few more today using this style...

Wow... I love it...
Anyway... It is for a challenge as well... Just Rite asked for FALL COLORS... of any type... I love all the colors of fall.. but I think my very favorite are the Maple Trees that turn this vibrant red and yellow... they look like they are day glo... okay.... so I am dating my self ....but you get the idea hopefully... a bright color..

This is the view of the card from the side... don't you just love it... is is so unique and fun... Easy enough to create and so much different than just one fold... Stands up nicely too..

Marie had been to a local convention and had bought so many fun new toyz... and had brought them over to share them with me... We really had fun creating with them... I tried as many as I could... but we also made a couple of  these fun cards..

The view from the front will show you a few of the new things that I love...
The Beauty of Fall... a new stamp for me from Just Rite... along with the beautiful fall leaves that surround it..

Marie had this great new Die from Heartfelt Creations... so I used that to hold the Beauty of Fall

I had just received an new order from Provo and had gotten this GREAT Pear embossing folder... so I had to use it... along with the Spellbinder pears...

Marie also had this new Martha Stewart punch... so I used it for the side panels... and topped it off with a Grand Lace Border with Spellbinder die...

I used Ranger inks to color all the pears and also the embossed sheet of white paper...
Fall Colors... my Favorite Fall Colors... So vibrant and bright...

Hope you have a fun day looking at the fall season around you...
I will be sharing more with you later.... have a fun day...

Thanks for stopping by... Love, Light and Peace ... Bonnie

A busy day in the Fall...

Oh yesterday Glenn and I went up to Mount Mitchell... which is the highest point East of the Mississippi River... it was a beautiful day... when we started out that it... but Mount Mitchell has it's own weather system... totally different to the rest of the state... LOL.. so we enjoyed the beautiful trees all the way up... when we started to get closer, the trees started to turn to more pines and balsams... so we had more greens than the yellows, oranges and browns... we saw lots of reds and trees with red berries... oh it was so very pretty...

We got to the top of the path way... and it started to rain... and the clouds came in, and we were not able to see anything at all... except for all the umbrellas of all the other people we walked up there with... it looked cloudy, and a little bit like rain... but it RAINED!!!!  Mount Mitchell weather 100%....So we came down... and started home... and the rain stopped!!!!  No we didn't turn around... we went  to Asheville to our favorite health food store and went shopping... then came home... it was a lovely day... and we slept GREAT!!!

Okay... so today... I created a few more Digital images... you can see them on Pretties by Bonnie
but this is the card... You can see all the details and also the pumpkin on the insdie by just clicking and going to see it... the images are for sale also... you only have to click and they will be sent to you... so magical and easy...

I love the Pumpkin within a Pumpkin...
You see you use the Spellbinder Pumpkin and this image to create this fun card...

Giving Thanks

As I spoke of yesterday we should give THANKS to ourselves and others each and every day.. .not just at this time of year... it is so very important to tell others how much we think of them... and give them our SINCERE love...

So with that in mind... I wanted to share with you a card for the Just Rite Challenge this week..

I really spoiled myself this week... I had orders come in from so many companies... and there were so many goodies in each box for ME... I love it... so you will see some of my new toyz now...

I got this wonderful set of stamps from JUST RITE...  So very perfect for this time of year... but I can also see using this border in the spring when the green leaves start to bud up... so I think it is a great set...
Also one of my favorite Cuttlebug folders... Pumpkin Patch... love it... I had a lot of fun coloring this today... used over 10 different Distress colors by Ranger on it... and then used clear embossing on the tops of the pumpkins to look like dew on the pumpkins... so very real at this time of the year...
My leaves I cut out with Cuttlebug leaf set... and I made the paper by painting paper with H20's... and then used a gold pen on the edges... just for an added flair... Distressed the Green Kiwi bazill with a Tim Holtz tool... and then had to clean up my table.. LOL.. a real thing... I really don't like a messy work space... have to clean all the time.. so I can find things...

Well our dogwood tree has almost all red leaves now... Fall is HERE... that is for sure... the nights are getting chillier and the mornings we have dew on the plants... fall is here...

Hope that you have a fun day...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... I really appreciate it... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Happiness is....

Happiness is many things to many people...
Today I am really feeling very different and also creating so many different things on so many different levels... I would really like to share some with you...
This card... Yesterday I decided that I was going to create some digital images that we could all use along with our Spellbinders... so I sat down and drew quite a few of them... which I will be releasing this week... I love them all.. and am having fun creating with each and every one of them...

With that in mind you will have to to PRETTIES BY BONNIE to see all the different views of this card... and also the image and all the goodies that go along with it... but the card is here also..

There is an inside... you can see it on Pretties by Bonnie... So go over and take a look see...

Something else also happened... and so many times when you get an e-mail you read it ... delete it... maybe send it on to a few people... or something like that... but that is the end of it...

This one... wow... it really struck HOME... I guess because of the time of the year... and wanting to say THANK YOU to every one ... in as many ways as possible...

I really wanted to share this one with you...

Too Busy for a Friend?

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room
on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name.

Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of
their classmates and write it down.
It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers. That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that
individual.

On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class
was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant
anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most
of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The
exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with
themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

Several years later, one of the students was killed in Viet
Nam
and his teacher attended the funeral of that
special student. She had never seen a serviceman in a military coffin
before. He looked so handsome, so mature..
The church was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk by the coffin. The teacher was the last one to bless the coffin.

As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her.
'Were you Mark's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said:
'Mark talked about you a lot.'
After the funeral, most of Mark's former classmates went together to a luncheon. Mark's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher.

'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his
pocket 'They found this on Mark when he was killed. We thought you might
recognize it.'
Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times. The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all
the good things each of Mark's classmates had said about him.
'Thank you so much for doing that,' Mark's mother said. 'As you can see, Mark
treasured it.'
All of Mark's former classmates started to gather around. Charlie smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my
desk at home.'
Chuck's wife said, 'Chuck asked me to put his in our wedding
album.'
'I have mine too,' Marilyn said. 'It's in my diary'    Then Vicki, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Vicki said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'

That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Mark and for all
his friends who would never see him again.
The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will
be.
So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and
important. Tell them, before it is too late.

Remember, you reap what you sow. What you put into the lives of others comes back into
your own.

May Your Day Be Blessed As Special As You Are

It really hit me in a very different way... I hope that after reading this, that you will tell some of your special friends how much they mean to you... I am telling all of YOU that you are special to me... special in so many different ways...

When you leave comments, you encourage me to make more and more cards... when you ask questions you bring the teacher out in me... when you visit it makes me realize that I must be doing something that others like... and so I want to say THANK YOU to all of you for being here and helping in the way you do to create this blog...

I want to say THANK YOU  to all the gals and DT that create challenges for us all to play  with and create different things with... THANKS to all of you... you are all special.. .and even though we don't have all of your names on a piece of paper that we carry around, we do carry you around all the time in our hearts and thoughts...

So please read these words and send them on, or send people here to read them...

The Happiness is... YOU... my heart is there in my work and I love creating for all to see... to enjoy and understand that life is an on going process that we are learn from...

This card is also for a challenge... Betty Wright has a color challenge #292... pink, red and green with handwriting... how perfect did this digital go with this challenge???  Please don't forget to go visit my blog  PRETTIES BY BONNIE to see all the details on this digital image... and also all the others...

Have a super nice day... and thanks again for visiting my blog and taking a helping hand in creating it...

Happy Fall

I have so many wonderful feelings about the fall season..As a child I use to love the smell of the neighborhood, as I lived on Oak Tree Lane... and the trees were huge... and the amount of leaves never seemed to stop... snow would fall on them prior to them all being raked up... and it never failed... my Dad would get ours all raked up... and the man next door didn't... and guess where the man next door leaves all ended up??? Yup... in our yard... just in time for my Dad to rake again... not a fun thing... Anyway... it kept my Dad going... that is for sure..

But I would love to run and jump in the leaves, and then when I got older, loved to actually rake them... if I had the time... I was very involved in sports in the fall so there wasn't much time to rake leaves... or for that matter to do anything... but I did keep active...

I also loved the colors and when in college was in the mountains of West Virginia and loved to paint and sketch the beautiful colors of the leaves... so very pretty... NOW.. I know it is fall when I see the trees start to change thier color... but also have you ever noticed the fall flowers where you live...

Around here ... we have these beautiful golden rods... I guess about at least 15 different kinds... so very magnificent... and then all of a sudden over night... these beautiful pale lavender flowers all start to pop out... also a smalle pale purple daisy... love them... Oh I picked a huge bouquet today of them all.. also some great red leaves...and some fire thorn... love these fall colors...

Okay... so after all that... we came home... and I had to relax for a few hours... then I was up and going...
I had decided that I was going to do a few things a little bit different .... and so you will have to go to Pretties by Bonnie to see the changes...  but I drew this leaf design so that you can cut it out with a Spellbinder... This is so much fun... Print, cut and color and put onto a card... wild...
I also used some of my new Pumpkins and colander design... I have to say that I love the look of this card..

Oh yeah... I didn't show it to you yet...The part that is white behind the pumpkins is the newest digital!!!!

PRINT .. CUT.. COLOR and use... wow... how easy is that...

Leaves for the Pumpkins, Bittersweet berries, and Happy Fall... I of course had to pop dot the leaves... but other wise that is the way it arrives onto your computer...

This card is also for The Shabby Tea Room... their challenge today is PUMPKINS... love it...

Hope that you will run over to Pretties by Bonnie  and get this digital along with the pumpkin...
Have fun.. and enjoy this pretty season of the year... FALL.... Happy Fall to each and every one of you...

A yellow day

Okay... when you get up in the morning do you think of a color??? This morning the sky was so very blue.. and a beautiful day out... we went for a ride... to enjoy the mountains that we live in... stopped by the health food store (where we shop) and then a nice ride home... when we got home I kept on thinking of YELLOW... the trees are starting to turn... YELLOW... oranges and of course browns... and I kept on seeing these wonderful YELLOWS... YELLOWS... and more YELLOWS... so I knew that I had to carry that into my art today...

A friend wanted to know how I used a particular border... so this is also to show her how I use the Fleur Di Lis borders... a little here and and little there kind of thing...

Okay... and then I had to make a sunflower from my poinsettia spellbinder also... and a little lacey window with my Cuttlebug Embossing plus folder... A Sweet Pea stamp that had sunflowers... all YELLOWS... love it.. of course my Twinkling H20's were on the paper  and I did use orange, reds and YELLOWS>.. you would have to peak under the sunflower girl...

Anyway... here they are..

Isn't she a sweetie... I love these stamps...
so innocent...

I sanded my paper to give that nice roughed up look of the Core Dimension paper gives you..

The little flower I made with a couple of layers of painted h20s paper...

Miss Sunflower princess is colored with markes, paints and a little stickles...

Now this one is a little bit different...
I used the Cuttlebug Lacey Window for my frame... vs the Fluer Di lis on the top card...

Also a piece of paper that is ages old... in fact it was printed by Provo... do you remember when they use to make paper???  a long time ago..

The sunflower... paper is H20 painted.. and the template is Spellbinder poinsettia...  love it..

Hope you enjoy these cards... and that you use your toyz... don't stash them... use them... yeah... me too.

Love the day... enjoy playing... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
