THE WEEK-END... Yea it is here... maybe some of the things that have been going wrong around here will STOP.... I would love to have peace and harmony in this house... and we have one thing after the other either break, fall apart, or something... and now we need some PEACE.... YES!!! NOW ....
I tried to sit down all day to make these zendalas... and took 5 minutes here... and 10 there... and finally got three done... that I love... all different and for different pages in a journal...
Let me tell you how I make a journal... (I do have a little bit of time.. .as the dinner is in the oven and I am on high speed... LOL... truly am too... want to sit down after dinner and knit for at least an hour... and then off to bed!!!!)
Okay... at different times I have the urge to paint... so I do sit for the time I have and paint sheet after sheet of paper... I love using my H20's... and of course all the other inks, dyes, sprays, and anything that I can get my hands on... and put it all over an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper... I allow them to dry... and then cut them in half... when at that stage, I punch holes into the longer side and bind with a spiral coil.... that is then a journal.... of course only one side of each page is painted.. so I have to paint the other side... when in the mood... I will sit and paint again... this time in a journal... I generally always have a book or paper at a certain stage that I can do as my heart desires... some times I will punch holes into the edges as pictures are downloading... that is an eternity with this lovely dial up... LOL...
Then I start to put all kinds of scraps into the book... and then start to fill in with other things... that is what these Zendalas are... and the rest of the page will be 'built' around them...
Just wanted you to know how I do this... I am sure there are 100's of ways of building a journal page... I just do bits and pieces at a time... as I am not always in the mood to do a whole page... if so.. then it is completed and put aside... I think you will be able to tell the difference of the two.. .
Anyway... here are my zendalas for this weeks challenge... and thanks again Erin for all the input... these were fun... but I think that I say that each and every week... as it is the truth... I love making these and get so many wonderful compliments on them... thanks again.
The first one I did... it had to have flowers... now you know me well enough to know that anyway... right???
And two of my favorite colors... the violet family and the greens.. love it...
The other day as we were coming up to the top of the little mountain we live on, I noticed these adorable tiny little purple flowers on a tall spike... and had to create some for this zendala... they were so cute... and lots of green around them too... the greens are so very dark at this time of the year... I sort of made mine a little on the limey side... like it better...
I think this is the page it is going to live on... it is a violet page... and has a little magenta on it too... yummy ness can really explode on this one... not really sure what I will be doing with it... but when I publish the journal you will see that part again...
I will be publishing another journal sometime this week... if the house doesn't fall down around us... LOL.. not funny... I didn't say that...
I love doing puf... and this one just had to be done... and I sort of made a tassel thingy for the triangles... different... but nice..
When flipping through this journal... it fit so nicely on this page... and it sort of looks like fish netting... so this is a maybe..
Wow... this one happened so very quickly... maybe I just had a few minutes left and it went together .... done... love the colors as much as a simple design... loved making the triangular greek key... wow... love it.. and the eyelet and ribbon... had fun with this one...
And the page is also a fun page... so this will be a fun page to work on... know really sure about how any of these will turn out... but stay tuned in for the end results... coming to your computer in the near future... so funny...
I am slap happy... can you tell... it's been a very long and tiring day... hope that you have a wonderful week-end... and that you will join in on this fun zendala challenge...
Thanks again Erin... it was fun... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
