Fun with more boxes

Another challenge and so another box!!! I just had to do this... it has been a burning desire to make one... and just haven't ever gotten the time or the chance to do one... so this Challenge with INSPIRATIONAL EMPORIUM got me to make this masculine box...

I love it... I think I am going to keep it myself...
I love it... I never thought I would like
something this 'heavy' looking...but I do...

side view of the box
The box itself is 100% Bazzill paper... LOL... and then I used flashing 'metal' and put that onto a sheet of paper... and then embossed it...

THEN... I covered my box lid and bottom.

Then I put these GREAT feet
that I get from Tim Holtz line of Ideology... Love these feet..
I find so very many different uses for them...

This is the top area of the box...

I used Alcohol inks to color my metal... and since I had used so very much, I decided that I had better use two colors...  can't be without a color for a minute...

After coloring the metal, I sanded the metal to bring the highlights back...

What a great box...

I handed this box to a friend yesterday

close up of the foot
and she thought it was going to be a lot heavier... as she thought it was a heavy metal... it is very very light... yet very sturdy!!!!

I think I will make a few of these for some of the men on our lists...
What a fun gift... with a gift certificate inside!!!  How great is that...  I really love this box.. and I am not a love of these kinds of things... but it is so nice to hold... and also a great piece... thanks for the inspirtation...

Thank you for stopping by to see my piece too... and hope that you have a wonderful day... and week... create something for someone.. and that can be for you too...

See you back here soon I hope... I do appreciate you stopping by... I sure do wish I could stop at your blog and everyone elses'... some day maybe I will be able to get onto some and see what you are doing...  thanks so much...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
