On September 3, I taught a class how to make this card.. the card was to use Just Rite Stamps... but of course they all learned a lot more than how to use Just Rite stamps... LOL.. we had a blast for over 5 hours of making papers, and flowers... the card we made was similar to this one in that we made the background paper with a Just Rite stamp... and also the other background paper with a Tim Holtz technique... and then all the paper laces etc... (and of course all the goodies that go along with Tim's Line... inks, misters and glitz... the perfect pearls... )
Most of the gals put an arrangement of paper flowers using the Tattered Floral Die Cut... by Tim of course..Like this one... As this was the card
that everyone followed...
I made a card during the class as an instructional card... and that is the one above...
Okay.. the one above is in pinks... and this one in purples and blues...
I am going to mail this pink one to a good friend... who needs this greatly...
She will love it... and it will make her happy...
Okay... so I got a little fussy with the pink one.. .but is it also for the Just Rite Challenge... where the theme is Shabby Chic... and what could be more perfect than little hand sewn flowers... and 7 layers of papers where one is made with a Just Rite Stamp... perfectly Shabby Chic... love it...
I made these flowers prior to the class... so that I could make a card for this challenge as well as for the class... so it was perfect for me...
I used a few stamen in the center and then sewed the seam binding tape around them... there is a trick to it, and I will teach this as soon as I get it perfected... and know what I am doing... LOL...
Here is a close up of the medallion I made with the Just Rite Stamp... and also the flowers... how sweet is that...
I love it all.. and needless to say had a lot of fun in the class... I love the gals that come to my classes... they are all so very eager to learn... and since I love to share and teach... it is a great combo... There was an 11 year old girl in the class this time... and she made a Birthday card for her teacher... it was so very beautiful... I certainly hope that the teacher is aware of the fact that the card was made with 100% white card stock... What fun is that...??? Yikes... we sure did have a lot of fun... and there was a gal from Chicago area... and 4 gals from Georgia too... Hopefully they will come back to some other classes in the future... There are so many wonderfully talented people... and all are GREAT to meet and spend time with...
Thanks for stopping by... and please check out all the pretty cards and entries at Just Rite... there are a lot of them... Hope to see you tomorrow too... I am going to play today again... as I cleaned up my studio, ready for a full week of playing and creating...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
