Happy Monday!!!

WOW another week has started and I don't know where last week went... is there any help at all out there to find last week??? I guess not!!!! Oh well.. It has also been a busy day today... way to busy.. but a good one on top of it all.

I had two challenges that I wanted to get done and I did... YEAH!!!! The first one was Mojo Monday... and the second one was TLC standing for Technique Lovers Challenge... oh man... loved this weeks... not that difficult... but still it was in some ways..

This all leads up to the designs in the card.. so here are the details... I talked with my 90 year old Mom... and she is lonely for the beach... she is in assisted living and really is almost totally blind... and not really able to go out too far... she gets a little bit upset... fearful I guess is a better word for it.. but she still misses the beach... so I thought I would make her a card with some of the precious shells she has collected over the years... she would send me a little tiny box of these shells from some trip she had been on... and of course I would save them.. .Our son , the traveler... went to Daytona Beach in January... and picked me up some sand.. so I added that to the card too..
So the card is for my Mom... with a little touch from our Son too.. and then I added all my favorite toys to it... I double punched the sea border and corners from Martha Stewart... and then used a new cuttlebug embossing folder called polka dot.. .it is 5 x 7... so I really love it... since 99% of all my cards are 5 x 7... it gives me more room to play... also I painted some paper with my twinkling H 20's... and added a lot of gold.. and then some dotted swiss paper for the two little 'tag' areas... The circle under the sand dollar is coated with sand.. as is the area underneath the blue sentiment... The Esssence of Summer... which also has a couple of small conch shells in it also... the sandpipers are from Impression Obsession... I used Distress pad color Broken china on the embossing folder... and used colored pencils for the snad pipers and the sand dollar...

This card is also named in Honor of the Gulf... as being an environmentlist this whole thing really has me very upset.. I really hope that our oceans will be able to take all this abuse we are issuing to them.. very very sad situation.

Okay.. .on a brighter note.. a dear friend of mine sent us an invitation to her youngest sons High school graduation... and we wanted to send him a card... so I took the very lovely invitation and cut it up and created this card... I do so hope he will like it..

I used some more of the fun things I have.. like cuttlebug folders to emboss the worded background... and also a die cut by Cuttlebug to cut the word Congrats out...

I used spellbinders to cut the circles... and also emboss them.. .and also popped them... a little martha around the edges... and I was done..

Happy Graduation Galen... Best of luck MAN!!!! Happy college too.. you will love it..

Also I have a couple of more things to get tonight... being that it is Tuesday.. . I am also hosting the Tea Party Challenge this week... so PLEASE take a look and see if you can join in on the fun.. this is a happy group of gals... I really appreciate it a lot.. .See you there... The challenge is MMTPT97... check it out...

Have a fun evening... and hope you have enjoyed you visit here with me tonight.. .more tomorrow.. that is for sure... I have a lot planned for this week... yikes.. almost too much.. but all fun.. stay tuned..

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie
