CRUX is that lilke the crux of the matter???

Today being Monday... it is a ZEN day... time to do my zentangling...  I am the Diva asked us today to do the tangle CRUX...  so here is what I did...

I use to really be a traditional zentangler... but I have to say that even though it takes a lot longer to compete a tangle... I had to do this today...  Today was not an easy day... we have not had phone in over a week...  we have no cell phone... and our son and daughter in law had their baby... so we didn't even know until 12 hours later...  I tried to get Skype in prior to this whole thing... and couldn't ... but worked on it that night until I finally at 4 am got it into the computer...  ugh... so this has been the week of trials and errors... but we did get to see our newest little grandson ... and he is adorable...  no name as of yet... but he will soon... precious little bundle... 8.5 pounds...

Okay.. so back to tangling...  I love this... it was a fun tangle... but not going to be on the top of my list... I have to say that... maybe if I fool around with it a bit longer... it might come up a little over mid way...  I dont' like the rigidity of blocks... like to free wing it... like I did with this PURK... the traveling PURK... love doing this..

There are 6 different colors of browns in each bead and also yellow... compulsive??? Not at all... LOL..  but I had to do this... I also used four different sets of colored pencils to get the effect I really wanted... and it took me over ... well lets just say a long time...  long, long, long time... but I do love it.. I had to add the flower to soften this ... as the colors were a little too dark for me...  hope you enjoy it... I really had fun doing it..

Because of all the tension and stuff with all kinds of phone things etc... I had to let loose and finally sat down to tangle to get free of all that stuff... tangling to me is a great release...  love it.. and this was in need of being finished...

This is not finished... as I am going to try and add some color to this one... but thought I would share prior to the color being added... fun and games...

Well I hope the rest of the week will be better and that all will calm down...  thanks so very much for all your lovely comments over the past few weeks... and I hope I have written back to you... if not, please check my last few blogs... thanks so very much...

Thanks for stopping in for a visit too... and hope that you have a TANGLE day... one that is full of TANGLING and FUN...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

  2. Beautiful, I love your purk, it is so organic and flowing over the page. Really great. And I can understand your feeling about Crux, I had the same. And last but not least congratulations with your grandson, may he raise with love happiness and in good health.

  3. Love the vibrant colours in your crux and the more subtle ones in purk. So many pencil sets - but sometimes the right colour is in one set and not another (I even use my Crayola pencils sometimes, although I prefer the Prismacolors.) Congrats on the grandson.

  4. Your Crux piece is great.. I'm a Purple Person, so it's definitely up my alley. But the Purk is fabulous! It's one of my all time favorite tangles, and I LOVE what you've done with it.

  6. Compulsive maybe, but gorgeous results! All of your tangle pieces are so beautiful. I stopped by from the Diva's challenge (which I haven't done yet). I love what you've done with Crux! Such wonderful colors, shading, and highlights. Really, it's just so lovely. A beautiful, dancing flower. Thanks for sharing it.

I'm sorry to hear of your difficult week and wish you such better times in the future. And so many congratulations on the grandbaby! I can honestly say I'm a bit jealous. My kids are 16-23, so I'm starting to feel the urge for grandkids (much more than they are feeling the urge for kids, so I guess we'll wait -- I want them to be ready). I've become that crazy lady at church who's always trying to hold other people's babies. Luckily, most young moms are perfectly willing to have a break and share.

Again, I hope things get much better very soon. And I'm so glad you can tangle to get you through!

  8. It's a relief to have someone else admit to using a gazillion colours and that they take forever on a tile - very worth the effort!
    Congratulations on grandmotherhood!

  9. Congratulations on the new grandbaby. Enjoy! I agree on the rigidity issue with this tangle but using it the way you did makes it work nicely. found your Purk very pleasing to look at. Love all those colors. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do :)

  10. You always use such vibrant colors. Like the Crux and Purk. I have read Ledenzer's tutorial on layering colored pencils but do not come close to getting the same effect as you. Probably due to your having more experience with the process.
