So I love to work small at times... and so I took advantage of this today... as I had limited time available... company for dinner and I wanted to make a nice dinner... but also FRESH LOCAL ORGANIC PEACHES... so shortcake was in order... YIKES... so very good.. is your mouth watering...??? Mine is... and we had it, and I could eat more... not really.. I am good until next year.. but it was good... also gluten free biscuits that I made and they were warm when I served the desert... OMG... delicious... stop this right now... okay... I will ...
So with this challenge... it was super fun... I use to trade with over 75 gals a month when I use to do ATC's... and when I gave it up I was relieved... too much.. but I do miss doing them... so today I had an especially nice time creating them...
Here is what I did... even thought these might look large... believe me they are what I am telling you...
This is a 3.5 X 2.5 inch ATC... love it... I made the papers with Distress inks... and then edged the edge with gold pen... and mounted onto the 3.5 x 2.5 backing... the birds are a Remnant Rub by Tim Holtz... and the nest one of his stamps...
This is 3X5... and I stamped the fall leaf from a stamp that has to be about 12 years old... and then tore a hole in the paper for the eye to look thru... (tim holtz eye LOL) the letters I added as I need to use some of these odd letters... and this was good... Fall... seeing the fall... or Looking for FALL to arrive... cooler weather... anything but this humidity... anyway.. they I backed this piece with another distress ink paper... (p.s. if you don't know me yet that well.. I love to make this paper... and almost everything I do is made using it... keeps me happy... )
Okay... so I also have become a huge fan of plaster... or texture pastes... love them... so I used it on this orange paper... and the leaf I made using a die cut of Tim;s and also a piece of up cycled plastic from a die... LOL... nothing like using it all right... we have to save our land fills and the earth.. .so we have to try and use as much as possible in our arts... Anyway... the orange is a little pocket for the ATC to go into... the ATC... my favorite ice cream use to be Mint chip... and they always made it GREEN??? anyway... put that on three layers of distress ink papers... one embossed... and the bottom one is water color paper...
The Butterfly... is escaping from within... and it was made with another die cut of tims and then I used texture paste to create it... and then distress inks to paint it... do you think I like distress inks... you are 100% correct...don't honestly know how I lived prior to them.. .and I have been doing this for YEARS... way to many... LOL.. .
Another pocket... this time it is a little larger... it is 3X5... and it holds a narrow Rolo... which I used Tim's pumpkin, butterfly and Trellis dies on... the leaves are also his die ...
I love to upcycle or recycle... how or what ever words you like to use... and so I made this envelope to put both of these into to mail to a friend... happy Fall...
So that is my IT'S A SMALL WORLD....
I had fun doing these... and thanks in advance for all your lovely comments... tomorrow I am making sauerkraut, kim chi, and also dill garlic pickles... Green beans will be ready again on Tuesday... so I will have to make some Dilly beans and also can the rest of them... so very much from our gardens this year...
We are getting another rain storm now... and so I had better get off here... thanks for stopping by for a visit... and please stop by ANYTHING BUT A CARD to see all the pretties...
Have a GREAT DAY...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Well I hope this is a lovely comment Bonnie! I was imagining those peaches while I looked at your lovely little artful pieces. Thank you for joining in with anything But A Card's It's a small world challenge.
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you about our peaches in January!
Oh...fresh peaches... You are making me hungry! Your ATCs look terrific. I especially like the eye peeking through! Thanks so much for joining my challenge at Anything But a Card!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these creations! Your style is so versatile, yet always so YOU! I'm a fan of bold colors, but I was really drawn to your birdies and nest ATC. The gold pen edging made it especially elegant. Stunning look on all of these-- it's always a pleasure to see your art!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, these are just fantastic! I think the ice cream one is my favourite, but they are all so creative and have wonderful colours! :)
