A RE DO... and also a NEW Panel...

Sometimes I wonder if my brain is still inside my head??? but then I do something really silly and look and can't figure out why I did that... so at the end of this posting you will see what I am talking about...

First off... I saw this really beautiful piece of art work on CC3 #4 challenge... it was so very wonderful... all these butterflies and monotones... just really what I love to create...  I fell in love with it and read all she had to say and then clicked on a link... and I was in another reality... I was at A VINTAGE JOURNEY....  I fell in love with all that was on the page... so many PRETTIES... eye candy plus...  you will Alison's Butterflies there...  you can't miss it...

Anyway.. .I entered the piece that I had done for the Compendium of Curiosities 3 #4 challenge... as it the new challenge was all about wings and things...

After I did it, I hung up the piece on the wall and started to look at it... and didn't like it... it wasn't finished... so I took it down and laid it on the worktable... but then I felt compelled to create another piece for this group...  so I did... this is what I came up with...

This is also on a piece of corrugated box top... LOL... love these for larger pieces...

Okay... I used Victorian Velvet and Mustard Seed to get these yummy colors started.. you will see the background next...

But this is the finished piece...

I love using a few colors and allowing them to create the others...  so I used Victorian Velvet and Mustard Seed... and oh I did add some Peeled Paint on the leaf stencil...  Love the way that this came out...  lots of design...

A few areas I stamped using Dried Marigold and rusty Hinge to create a contrast...  birds in flight...  Lots of stenciling going on...

Since this is all about things and wings... I had to add some birds on things...  so I used the rub ons and a enameled tag... love creating these...  so much fun...

Generally speaking if things don't get put away, I use them... over and over... I had made a tag using the Queen Anne's lace a few days ago... and so it got used again.. LOL... along with a few other ideology purchases... love them all...

and a secret KEY...

Layers are starting to really add up here... and I love the look I am getting... I am sort of trying to take pictures as I go with this one... but I all of a sudden forget and have to back tract... sorry... having fun sometimes leads to confusion when trying to show the end results...

I had cut out a pile of roses and the other day had colored them all the different shades of pinks, reds, even some blues... and had them all laying on my inking area... so some of them came over to the other table to take part in this piece... I used 6 roses... as 6 is my favorite number...

Oh I got so excited about using these great rub ons... and had to use more and more all over the piece... they are instant chit chat... love them...  so my butterfly which came out of the wall flower paper book of Tim's  The butterfly is traveling with it's HEART...  and requests that you do the same...

Do you ever listen to the birds in the course of a day... I hear them all day long... love them all.. but they all have a different story to tell...  as do we...  love them all...

Always look for the good...  seek the good in all ...

another positive .... life observations... do you observe things around you... I bet you do more than you realize...  make note of the new things... and the pretty and wonderful things...  things that FLY... and all that kind of thing...

You are one of a kind... so is your work... no one else can create the same as you do...  NO ONE... so you are truly one of a kind... remember that...

I wanted my bird to be really outstanding.. I generally have a hard time with the silver pieces getting them to look the way I want them too... with this bird I used my solutions pen and alcohol inks and painted this little one sunshine yellow and RAISIN...  love it... it really looks pretty in real life... couldn't get a really good color picture for you... sorry about that...

The completed piece...

Top half....

Lower half...

I put a big ole bow on this... with some netting that was hanging around the work table from another tag... and it needed to GO...

More flowers,

This is going to be hung on the wall... so I used a key plate and took some of the dyed ribbon and it will stay up for a long time...

Now here is the RE DO...  I used some of Tim's Frosted film... and put it on Cleary Art from Wendy Vecchi... and then was able to use my solutions pen and color this beautiful dragonfly the way I wanted it to look... love it...

A little liquid pearl for the eyes... and done...

I don't know what her name is yet... but it will be beautiful... as she is my favorite one so far...

Okay... here is the piece that needed some HELP... so I added a cone of sheet music... some coffee filter flowers, using the tattered floral die cut... which I LOVE... and then added my sweet dragonfly...  love it now... it is finished...

Do you agree.???? or does it need something else... be honest... as that is the only way I learn...  we all need to be honest about things...  it really does help...

I love her shining bright eyes... so very alive...

Finally completed....

Thanks for all your comments... and also thanks to Alison for putting her piece into the CC3 challenge... as I might never have found this group of talented ladies...

Please go there and take a look at their lovely work.... oh I really should say PLAY pieces...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today and hope to see you tomorrow with Sunday Stamper... it is Father's Day here in this country... so going to be with my sweet hubby most of the day... love him dearly...

Thanks again...
Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie
