Today being Saturday, it is ZENDALA DAY!!! And Erin (of Bright Owl) has chosen a GREAT theme... FALL and then she added a great mandala to create with... LOVE IT all... I also love your costume Erin... I have to add Congrats on the 200 followers... and I wish I could say I am one... but with this 'wonderful' dial up, I try to keep things as neat and clean as possible so that I can avail getting onto my own blog easily... LOL... I am a faithful follower... just not counted in your total at this time... but I am there... so CONGRATS...
Also check out all the other entries for this challenge... but you have to go and see Erin's cute costume that she designed and made for Halloween... so wild... love it Erin... great creative thinking...
So enough... I have had a very trying week... and I will not bore you with all the horrible details... but I am glad that I have my tangling to help my mind and spirit and soul all where they should be... LOL... I love my tangling and my journals.. and everyday I create in them when ever I have 5 minutes or so...it might look like I spend hours doing things... but believe me I don't...
This week I was again cleaning stuff out of my studio, so I had a lot of papers that I really didn't want to toss.. so I made tags for journal pages... and here is the proof...
These two pages are where my Fall Zendala will be living... for eternity!!!
I had done the right hand page in July... I love Fall as the colors are so very vibrant and actually so alive to me... the maple trees around here are florescent in color... the oranges are vivid... if you used that color people would say that the color is not correct... until they saw the trees with those painted florescent orange leaves... so magnificent and regal.
So I had to do some pears... our pear trees didn't bear fruit this year... we have a very large problem with all fruits this year on the farm... but I still love them.. so I had tangled them... on the left hand side of the journal... I had to make something to go along with this page... so I made a pocket... (since this journal is the journal of Pockets... ) and but a little camelion on there... as they are running all over our decks and windows now catching the last of the warm sun spots... they are so cute...
Here is a closer look at the pear page...
I even used one of the 12 days of Christmas stamps for the pear page...
and added a medallion made from tea bags...
Of course one of my favorite things to draw and to have around me are the flowers of the season.. .
My firethorn is really going crazy this year... but I am not bringing any of that into our home... too many little buggies on them.. . but they are so very pretty... I love it..
So this is the page that I have been playing with today...
I wanted some nice fall thoughts to go into my fall pocket... so this is what I have so far...
On the front of the pocket
THOUGHTS of the mind...
Each one of these is for tangling on...
This tag has not yet gotten anything.. but it will prior to the page being called DONE....
It is a pretty fall paper that has so many nice gourds and I had to use it...
A smaller tag with some of my favorite golden colored papers... that I couldn't throw away... so I glued them onto each other to create a tag... and of course had to tangle and then LIVE IN BALANCE... to remind me to do that... which I have to be reminded of that each and every day...
WE seem to be on the go all the time anymore... doing all kinds of things... again... more scrap paper that I love... love dotted papers... have a huge stack... but this was just a little piece... still... I couldn't get rid of it..
I love to do the tangle paradox... because life is truly a paradox... when I first saw this tangle... I really didn't think I would use it that often... but it has become a favorite... I love to see how many ways I can do them... so that they create different patterns...
Each one reflecting the difference just like the differences in each one of us... LOVE IT.... Again on some paper that I just couldn't throw out... so pretty...
Did you ever buy a package of tags... because you loved them..and then never used them??? Oh well we will not talk about that... or how many times I have done that... but I did use one... right here... and I love the way it turned out... maybe I will even find some more in my general cleaning up of the studio... so many treasures... left over from other things...
This in on the back of a piece that I used my Tapestry Stamps on... it is a fall wreath on the other side... but then I added this tangle to the other side...
and a piece of Fall Tinsel from Tim Holtz's fall things...
I even added pumpkins into this tangle... Fall is upon us... and people will start arriving in our area to see all the colors on the mountain tops... it is really a very pretty time in the mountains...
Then today... Erin had us do a fall Zendala... I love it... I love the colors of fall... the browns... I think that I used over 9 different brown colored pencils on this one... I love the browns... and the purples, and cranberries... and the yellows, oranges, reds... and of course the greens... so I put them all on here... My little Pumpkin Patch zendala...
Corn, Pumpkins, leaves, purple night skies, with purple clouds... and then the browns... love all the browns...
Here is this zendala a little bit closer... so you can see more of the detailing of it... it is really a pretty and favorite zendala of mine... but don't we say that about each one we do... THIS IS MY VERY FAVORITE ONE I HAVE EVER DONE!!! And then we create another one... and that one is the favorite until the next one is created... love it all... so much fun...
Well have a great evening... and talk to you all soon...
Please check out my blog on Sunday... as my Altered Alice project is also a PUMPKIN... that opens all up... Alice goes a rocking into Halloween big time... you will love the digitals... hope you will come back to see it... Thanks for stopping by today...
Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie
