Fussy and Frill tag

Happy Monday morning... it is a bright day in Western North Carolina mountains... and I wish it had stayed cloudy and the looks of rain... but we can't change the weather yet... maybe we will be able to soon...

Yesterday was a fun day... Sande, my neighbor and friend came down in the morning hours to play... she brought her Tim Holtz die cut of the mannequin on a stand with her... I love it... have to get it now...  anyway... we made this tag with it...  what a fun time we had...

The bodice of this sweetie was stained using Tims new stains... I had to have them all..  anyway... after we stained the mannaquin, we stamped it and then decorated it...  as you can see at this area I used a butterfly for the bodice...  and a bow at the waist to hold the 'skirt' on...

I guess I should talk about the tag .... we used my new stains on the tag... then we stamped words all over the tag...  distressing the edges and making it look all pretty...  then we proceeded to cover all that prettiness up... LOL... but we had fun doing it...

The other day I was on Hels blog... and she had made the most beautiful tag... I really wanted to get back on there... but this dial up stuff cuts me off... makes it almost impossible to leave a comment and then if you want to say anything at all.. it is just plain difficult...
ANYWAY... If you didn't notice.... I do get carried away with words... Hels had made this tag with a pocket on it... so I had to try that... being new to making these tags like this, I have to try everything that is new... love it all.. so I am pretty darn busy trying everything...

So we made the pocket... and used the theme of sewing for this tag... so we filled the pocket with sewing needles, pink Spinnerin cording, spools of ribbon, etc etc... all neat clip art that I had in my filing system... LOL... (glad I was able to find it.)

Now for the bottom of the skirt... the skirt was made using the Bird cage die cut that is by Tim... love it too.. never thought I would use it as much as I do...  wow... love these die cuts.. will have to get some more... I need a much larger studio than I have too.. and let me tell you I have a nice size one... LOL...

The skirt was colored using the stains again... and then I attached some lace and the snaps... and a few shrms... the one safety pin has a fish on it... sorry that it turned around... I attached the sewing deffination to the cage and that was it...

Looking thru the 'skirt' you can see the pocket... where I have put a lot of buttons, and also a needle case that opens to show all the needles...  (all paper)

Okay... I know you want to see inside the pocket...
It is really filled with all the sewing needs of the average sewer... I loved filling it up...
hooks and eyes, needles, and even rick rack which was so part of an outfit back in the day...

I just had to show you this spool .... I was going to wrap thread around it... but then decided that the ribbon was better for me to use... (didn't take as long either)

When I got it all wrapped I decided that the pins were also needed... so I stuck a few into the ribbon...

Love that added little touch...
Of course it is held with some Ideology by Tim...

I love my tag... and later after Sande left, Marie and April came over... just to pick up a few things... and they both loved it too.. .It is so much prettier in real life... but most things are ... we just have to realize that when looking at things in this box...

Anyway... this morning when checking on the challenges I wanted to do... I found that Simon Says Stamp and Show had a free for all... ANYTHING GOES theme... !!!  WOW ... does this fit??? LOL..So now you have seen my latest tag... what do you think.. is it Frilly and Fancy???

Hope you have a nice day... and I am praying for some rain... we need it so very much.. the plants in our gardens are so thirsty...  Thanks for sending any rain our way... see you soon... as I hope you will come back again real soon... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
