I fell in love with quilling a few years ago, and you know how it is .... until something else spurs you to create with it again you sort of put it aside to play with other toys, or other things...

Well this week, I got spurred by the new Cuttlebug Quilling templates... they are so very much fun... I made a lot of flowers... and you will see them all over the next few weeks... here is one on this card... I used the rose plate... so cute... there is a learning curve to these... you have to put on a few rows of the center or the second little petals, prior to putting on the outer ones.. I am still learning, but as always having fun with these templates... If you have any questions I will certainly try and answer them.. just leave a note in the comments and I will get back to you on it...

To make the card, I used a piece of K and Company paper... and then added a background paper that I created with painting a piece of paper with my Twinkling H20's... and then running thru my Cuttlebug machine with an embossing folder... then using a Ranger Ink Pad over the top to give it definition (Black) . Then using two of Martha's bird punches I created the little 3.5 square inch paper and punched it... The corner bird generally is suppose to be punched with the twigs... but this one I used the birds sitting on the wire... justt to give it another look. Then I stamped a long piece of paper with the sentiment... and turned it into a banner... and slipped it into the edges of the square... By adding the little quilled flower and bow, it finished the look that I was trying to get on this card...
Here is a box that I made with the other kind of quilling... It is just a box that came premade, and then I added all the quilling, gems and of course had to create on the inside too..

I made lots of flowers out of the natural and kraft colors... and just randomly placed on the top of the box.... as you can see... I didn't try to make one particular type of flower.... I was just enjoying making all the flowers...

So many times we get stressed over the "gotta get it done" syndrome, and then we loose the insight as to why we were really making it..
which was to ENJOY....

So go back and start to enjoy the NOW moment...

Very difficult at times, but so very very important in everyday life...

Yesterday is gone... tomorrow might never come... so you better enjoy the NOW... LOL.. truth in all ways..

Okay... enough of that...

On the inside... Well if you dont' know me very well, you will come to find out that I LOVE my twinkling H20's... they are little pots of joy.... they are watercolor paints that have mica in them... when you wet the little pat of color... it really doesn't look like too much... but when the paint dries on the paper... the magic starts... it twinkles... OH I LOVE IT.... so I made all the necessary strips of paper for the inside...stamped butterflies all over them... and then painted them. Then I masked them and painted the background... and then I had to add more butterflies...

The golden color is just elegant plus... it really glimmers and shines so pretty...

After all the paint dried... I glued the panels into the box... and it was ready to enjoy..

I added the saying as it is so wonderful...

Love is like a Butterfly...
It goes where it pleases and
It pleases where it goes...

How lovely is that!!!!

Well I do hope that you like quilling... and that you give the new cuttlebug templates a try... they are fun... and the flowers are so sweet... You will see more... I am having fun with them...

Hope that you have a wonderful day... and enjoy it all.. We are still enjoying our son, who will be leaving tomorrow... boo hoo.. but the visit has been wonderful in all ways..

Thanks for stopping by and hope you come back again real soon..

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
