Yikes... MERRY CHRISTMAS in July...
That is what this is all about... wow... a wonderful feeling of Christmas in July... no shopping rush, no decorating.. just enjoying making cards... good feeling.
I have created a couple here that you will also see on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog.. WE are celebrating a wonderful time in July... and hope you will join us for all these fun filled festive times... There is so much planned for you to enjoy... hope you will check out the blog daily... until Sunday... and then you should check it out hourly starting at midnight.. there will be a challenge every hour on the hour... what fun....
This card was a sketch that we were to follow... and so I used a double panel of snowflake embossed paper... the corners of the navy blue paper hide the seam!!! Then I outlined it with silver... Two squares cut and layered to form the focal point.. the white one was cut with a spellbinder to create the circle... and then I also used the scalloped dies to create the scallop frames... added a few glitter dots where the snow was falling...
Okay... now to create this village scene... I used the Cuttlebug folder from a couple of years ago... I just love that one.. it can create such lovely cards... I took an ink pad and covered the inside of my plastic embossing folder... and then put in two pieces of paper... and then ran it thru my cuttlebug machine.... when you take it out, you have the center piece... it is such fun.. I try and not use a dye ink... but wash it anyway as quickly as possible... and it will look fine... if you let it wait too long you will have decorated folders... LOL...
a little punching for the banner going across... and a bow and I was done with this one.
Okay... one more...
I told a couple of friends that one of the reasons why I was so prolific was that I have so much paper ... that if I lived to be 300 I would still have enough to share at that time... so I have to use some of this paper... and making cards helps!!!!!
This card was so very simple...
I covered the white card with the snowflake paper... and then cut two squares that are 3.25 x 3.25... and let the eyelet punches create the delicate borders... I mounted them as shown... and then created two snowflakes and put in the center.. one of them has the ends cut off...and it is staggered to give a dimensional look.. .a little label and a sentiment... with a bow... and I was ready to sign my name on the back..
Hope that you will join us in this challenge and also in all the other festive activities that are planned... See you there...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
