#2 Twelve Days of Christmas Tag

Day #2 Tag...  for the Funkie Junkie Twelve days of Christmas challenge...  oh what fun it is to play all day!!!  loving every single minute of it...

I used the Poinsettia die  and

also the Tattered Pine Cone die greenery... 

I think I use the tattered pine cone die more than any other die...

the greenery is year round... LOL... 

All are Sizzix dies... 

 

 

Okay ... so here is #2...

Wow do I ever love playing with all my toys... 

Inspiration was the poinsettia and the checked background…I didn’t quite get the checked background…as I really wanted to use my brick stencil… I love, love, love, the way that  this turned out.  

 

 

First of all I used a piece of WHITE paper…  like I do for 99% of all my work… I love to do that the best of all..  I then used my textured paste and the brick stencil and now I had all white …duh… so not brick like…

 

 

 

then used some Walnut stain embossing powder and then when I finished with that I had brown brick and white mortar… not what I liked either…  so them I used a baby wipe and some brown inks… and dabbed it all over the tag… LOVED it… 

 

 

 Okay… now I can decorate it…  I used some pages from an old book to create my poinsettia…  I have also never really liked the poinsettias I have made… but this time…. I love this one… trick I did… I wrinkled the flowers in my hand… and then put the layers together… 

 

 

 

When I was all finished, I used my glue pad… yes a glue pad and lightly ran it over the top of the flower and sprinkled with some rock candy glitter… love that stuff… on my third jar since the stuff came out…. 

 

I needed some white and so I added the row of white holly leaves and then the green ribbon…  love the colors of this tag… 

 

 

 

Well I certainly have enjoyed this one... I love the techniques that I have finally gotten to do and enjoy.
