BOLD Stamping and BRIGHT colors... WOW!

I bet you are holding onto your seat for this one... but I actually didn't go as crazy as you might think... I actually stayed a little on the calming side for me...  not really sure why... just wanted to make these as pretty as I could...

I am making these for two challenges and they are really quite different, but I felt that these two pieces should be shown together and also shared by the challenges... ????  just the way my brain is working...

One of the challenges is Monday Simon Says...  last week 480 entries were put into the challenge and I was ONE OF THE TOP FOUR... THANK YOU DESIGN TEAM for this GREAT honor... you truly made my day yesterday...  well today too... and this week...  you know what I mean... thank you very, very much... I really appreciate your love and kindness...  truly do.

The theme this week for Monday Simon is STAMPtember...  and for the stamping to be bold... not really sure I made it bold enough for one.. .so I made another...

The other Challenge is for Sunday Stamper...  and Hels has such a wonderful piece up as inspiration... so I had to do BRIGHT for her challenge...

so with out much more ado... here are my entries...

For those who know me... they know I love crows... but I also have this things with crows eating our food...  but I still love them.. they are so very majestic and regal... they scream at you when you least expect it... they are always guarding the farm... and they also are always stealing from the farm.. .LOL... they are fun birds... and they are suppose to keep law and order among the other birds... not really sure if they do... but they are fun birds...

I made this ENVELOPE from paper I had made and decorated it and then made the butterfly 'card' or note card to put into the crow envelope... they go into the envelope in the back which is made from Wallpaper...

This crow is so very regal... love him/her... . and the purple on the bird, matches the purple ribbon and the flowers are the bright part...  stenciling, stamping, coloring all everything is all over this three piece project...

I wasnt' really satisfied... so I got some white paper and started to play... bright bold stamping... okay... here it comes...

this is just a corner of the paper...  I wanted you to see the colors and the boldness of the stamps...

I actually didn't use this after all as a background... but I did use it for beads...

I also made this paper... and when I got it all done.. thought that I would use the other piece above... oh such decisions...  trials and tribulations...  why do I get myself into these messy situations... LOL..

Well I made a decision... and used the second one...  and cut it all up and put it all on here ... sewing and gluing... and I love it... layers of paper... dyed to match and mix...

The technique I used to make the paper is over laying of embossing and then inking and redoing it again and again until you have the paper looking the way you like it... it took me about an hour to make this one sheet of paper...  love the layers in it though.. well worth the time and effort...

Paper beads from the first paper...

Inside the card there is a special little pocket... it is not glues into the card... just loose... and it will hold a check as a gift for some lucky person...

It is folded in a certain way and then when the tabs are pulled, it opens into a special little box... just great for something flat...

Happy Birthday...

Thanks so very much to both of these challenges... I love the work you share with us all... and also all the work that goes into making sure that the challenges are there on time... really a great thing... thanks ever so much...

Thanks also for shopping by here today... and also for any comments you might leave for me... I totally thank you...

See you soon...
Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

  4. WOW Bonnie, you rocked this one big style, I knew you would as you use colour so perfectly... I love crows too, we have a family that live in the trees at the back of the house and they are so funny when they hop down onto the lawn to steal the food for the smaller birds... very bossy but a bit scared of the wren that shrieks at them! Thanks for joining in with the Sunday Stamper x

  7. Beautiful projects Bonnie!! Love the crow, it looks wonderful. I often like to watch out for crows along the road, where they sit and check out the situation. Love the vibrant colours of the second card. Thank you so much for sharing some bold stamping with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
