A FALL Journey in a card and Envelope

I am not the least bit surprised to see a challenge at this time of year with the theme of

FALL

Fall is a wonderful time of year with all the beautiful colors, one trying to out do the next one...  almost every color in the rainbow is glistening with dew, brightly shining and magnificently displaying its final round of beauty...

So to capture this.. I felt that I needed to really get my colors nice and clear so I had to think thru this one clearly to get
CLEAR COLORS...
BRIGHT COLORS...
and a little hint of DEW on the leaves...

So this is what I came up with...

I have to apologize that I forgot to take pictures from the very beginning...  but you will get the idea anyway...

This is what my final piece looks like.. it is a card and the envelope... which will have to be sent in another envelope... as this one will NOT make it thru the postal systems... LOL..  anyway... you will see all the components as I go along...

I am going to start off with the card... I had started to make the card and envelope and then remember the camera... so I spread out the card so you can see the paper...  I used a technique using clear embossing powder, with layers and layers of stamping and inking in between... I hope to do this with a tutorial some day... I love doing this for each and every season...  just a really unique technique and you always get fun and pretty results...

For this, I used Tim's leaf set of stamps...  and also Distress inks and round blending tools... you can get into areas that you normally would not get into with the little round ones...  and with this technique you will need to do that...

When the card is folded, this is the front, with the paper beads I made from some paper that I also colored with
RIPE PERSIMMON...
and cleaned up the worksheet with my ribbon... and added some mustard seed and also a little tiny bit of vintage photo...

I attached a few leaves... which I made from Tim's Tattered Leaf Die Template...  love it... quick and easy and tons of leaves.. then I just have to have fun coloring them... a little spritz here and there.. and you have instant pretty leaves...

I did edge them all with some browns... and also some greens...

Down in the lower left corner I stamped this stamp which is from Just Rite...  love their stamps too...

AUTUMN
the year's last,
loveliest smile...

I love the purple... which shows up better in the camera than it does in real life... LOVE IT all...  The leaves on this look almost transparent....  and the colors are vivid... just like I wanted them...

The front of the card... I also attached a leaf which is shown on the front and goes into the inside of the card...

The inside of the card...  with a few leaves... that sort of got blown into the center...

My favorite fall saying...

EVERYONE MUST TAKE TIME TO
SIT AND WATCH
THE LEAVES TURN...

Have you ever done that... it is amazing... it takes a long long time...  LOL...

The envelope...
I had already glued the envelope together... I should also tell you that I made the piece of paper 8.5 x 11 with these leaves while it was an entire sheet...  I then folded it in half and tore it... not cut it... tore it...  thus the ragged edge... also I couldn't find my scissors... and wanted to see the papers... oh yes... I love it...  Added some words to the envelope..

and also some Pickled raspberry... and I was HAPPY...

Here is a close up of the leaves... you can see the embossed areas...

I have told you that I love to make papers... so this on my inking area table... and so I stamped a pumpkin from Tim's set... and then started to color with the Distress markers...  but I didn't have the RIPE PERSIMMON
that I wanted... so I used a brush and distress stain on my worksheet and finished coloring the pumpkin..

All finished...

I cut it out... a little too much as you can see here...
but on the envelope no one will ever see it... except YOU..

I added a few more leaves, and also the word AUTUMN from some of Tim's stickers... and a piece of raffia...  all done...
When I went to glue this all down... and piece of cheese cloth got stuck to my fingers... (Too much glue on my fingers...) and it wanted to go into the arrangement... so I let it...  and that is it...

When the card is in the envelope... the top leaves stick out... I love that... so does the ribbon with the beads...

The envelope alone..

The card and envelope...
as you can see the leaves are out...  just adding to the
fall arrangement...

Thanks for stopping by here for a visit...  as I really appreciate you coming by...  and also love all the sweet loving comments you leave too...  I cherish them all..

Have a fun fall season... and see you later with more goodies..

Thanks again for all your love and support...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
