Anyway... here are the four little houses I made.. each one was fun and as I progressed in making them, each one became more detailed... what else is new???
The first one was with Martha Stewart Paper... Marie gave me a pad of paper last year for my birthday... and I hadn't used it until this year... I love the pad Marie and THANKS again.. this little Golden house was two of the prints...the one that I made the actual house from, had little birds on it... but when putting the pattern onto it, I forgot to see where the birds were going... oh well, it came out cute anyway... a little bird on a perch and some roofing trim using a Martha Stewart punch...
This one is actually the last one I made...(* I am havig trouble with trying to understand how to get the pictures on this blog into the place I want them... sorry about that..)
I made the little house, and then wanted to dress up the roof, so I took some paint chips... you know the ones that you find in Lowe's in the paint section.. the ones that are FREE!!! I punched out a bunch of them.. and then added a door of WELCOME... and some windows.. but then I got a little carried away, and had this little tree that I had made sitting there... and added that too..
This tree I made using Ellen's Templates... from Some Assembly Required... they are so very tiny... and arduous... that I only made two and tried another part of it... I think I will return that to Ellen, and say THANKS... but just can't take all the small pieces... It is a beautiful kit, but not for me...
So that one was finished...
I call this one the Triangle house... as it is made from a piece of paper that is all triangles... triangles of all Christmas designs... and so cute... I used a corrugated piece of paper that came from a cracker packing... and painted that with ... You guessed it... Twinkling H2O's... Added a heart door, some roof trim and someone moved right in!!!!
The white dots around the heart were done with a white gel pen...
This little house is the Valentine house, for very obvious reasons... I had to do one with hearts... I made the house first, and then used a sheet of paper that I had done reverse inking on thru the cuddlebug folders... hearts and for the roof, the one with pebbles... I drew some plants growing up the side of the house... with of course heart flowers.. and a heart door... and again some one moved right in... these little houses are so cute on the tree, or a package, or anything that your heart desires.. they are quick little projects and depending on the details can be done in a few minutes...
I joined another challenge also this week.. called the Stampin B's... not really sure about this one, as I can't really figure out where the other cards are??? I am so out of touch with this blogging stuff... give a nice web site anytime!!!! I do so much better with that... but this is fun.. getting out of the box again!!!
The theme of this challenge was to make a card with a beverage on the front... For those of you who know me.. I drink about 99% water... so a beverage??? Tea maybe.. so I colored a teapot and cup to sort of match and added some paper pricking, to act as a table cloth, and of course a border of cuddlebug embossing.. the Green floral is flocked paper... so the texture on this card is great... The bow and charm were added to the green and metallic trim.. (which I bought at Walmart on night... didn't know for what... but found it and used it last night on this card... )
Okay... this card was really the card I used for the Tea Pot Tuesday Challenge... each week the hostess, who this week was Marilyn Prestonn aka Peggy Elms, created a precious story of the Rodent family having a party ... it was to be a huge party with animals of all kinds invited.. there was going to be a punch made from Spider egg milk and all kinds of other goodies, that the Critters would all love... ??? Anyway every one was invited... so my thread of the story went with something like this...
You see inside the Rodents house the younger ones were put down for a nap… but being little… they had to get up to see what all the noise was… so they quietly went down the stairs… and low and behold… there was little Master Rodent.. sitting on top of a Bell … and the bell was making so much noise that it woke them up… there were candy canes all over the floor and it was a mess… but they started to laugh and went down to help him get out of the tree… so that they could all have a nice Candy cane.!!!
What fun…
Anyway… I used my trusty Spellbinders on this one… and wove some satin ribbon thru the frame… and used the same ribbon for the ties… Of course Master Rodent is a House Mouse.. and the other stamps I really am not sure of.. I used Twinkling H2O's by Dreaming in Color to color in the bell and greens… and also the front of the card stamp… Also used a white gel pen for the dots… and most of the stamped areas are pop dotted.. a fun card for a child.. .and I know who is going to be getting it… he will love it…
Thanks again … Merry Christmas to all of the Rodent Family and Friends…

As some of your know, our son, Brett is a chainsaw carver... and he travels all over the world doing exhibitions .. this past August while in UK he won the first place in a world competition... Congrats to him... he really deserves it... Now he is still carving, and more than ever, but on really special pieces that he wants to do... so here is a picture of his most recent work of ART... the Turtle!!! I made this card for him... and hope he doesn't see this blog... hopefully he is too busy with Christmas orders... and will not go on line.... keeping fingers crossed.. .anyway, I wanted to combine his work and mine together... for a nice card... I added the candy canes as a sweet gesture!!!! The paper is from K and Company Christmas pad.. Love that pad of very versatile Christmas papers...

I still don't totally understand how to use this blog... I have to start at the end and then work forwards... to the beginning??? I am not use to that, and also can't move the pictures to where I want them either... so you will have to be patient with me on this one... The owl picture was suppose to be up here... but it is down there... Oh well .. so be it...
The owl card was posted for the Tea Pot Tuesday challenge, but I had done it a couple of days ago... I had a painted piece of paper (Yes my trusty Twinkling H2O's... and the I ran it thru a cuddlebug folder... While I was doing that, my mind was working... and I was this really cute owl folder... and wanted to use that one too??? Oh well I ran that thru with some white paper... and started to cut it out.. I mounted it yet on another cuddlebug background... the dotted swiss... and then made some faux feathers by cutting some paper... and adding them to the collage of cuddlebug papers... Then added my sentiment... of PEACE.. and was done...

This week the Color combination was very difficult for me at first... the colors were way too bold and all together very 'clashing' to my eye... but I worked out of the box and gathered my papers and started to work on some cards... I came up with two... for this challenge... and the third was really for two challenges combined.. Clean and Simple and also the color combination..
Anyway.. .the colors... Crushed Curries, Real Red, and Sahara Sand... oh my goodness... well Betty who was the hostess does really nice cards, so I gave it a try... Above the second card... I used an old magenta stamp... that I really didn't like that much... I am trying to figure out ways to use stamps that I haven't liked prior... again getting out of the box that feels so very comfy and trying new things...
I stamped it and then using my Twinkling H2O's I painted it... and then I didnt' want the butterfly in the center of the stamp, so I cut that out, and added an Inkadinkado flower... used the center of the frame (you will see about that in the next card.. ) and put that behind the Inka flower... popped the flower after I had painted and cut that out... Mounted the entire piece onto a Black cardstock and added trim at the bottom, prior to mounting... Voila' a finished card...
This is the one that I did for the two challenges... it is really very simple... and yet got the most compliaments of all??? I do like it, but not better than the other two... ??? Oh well, this all goes to show you that not everyone thinks alike or even likes the same things at ALL!!!!
I used some K and Company paper (Gold Holly Leaf which is found in the Christmas pad) and then used a simple pine branch stamp and colored the pinecones in with Zig Memory markers... added the red dots to the edge after I had cut and mounted onto Spellbinders ovals.... plain and scalloped... Added the tiny red bow... and done...
I am almost out of red ribbon... so I guess that will have to go onto my next ribbon order...
This card took me the longest time to create, of all three of these.. I wanted to use a flower, as I am sort of overdone with all the Christmas themes... so I chose this Amarilis with the bulb... a little on the wintery side, but still a flower... and then using the backing of a package from a Cuddlebug folder, I cut out the black glossy frame!!! Waste not, want not... it is nice and sturdy and FREE!!! Added the tan background, and also added some Filigree from a Fleur di lis spellbinder set... and a couple of dew drops that were clear, and I used my sharpies to color them... a little tag to show some movement and a bow... and it was called done!
Hope you and your family all have a wonderful Merry Christmas and enjoy every minute of this glorious season of Love...
Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie
Bonnie, you are too much!!!! I love, love the bird houses. This is one you need to teach us! The turtle is so cute and I love that you used your son's carving. I am working with my spellbinders too and loving it! Your cards are great!
