Bird houses to make

Oh are these ever fun to make... they are adorable to hang from a light, a window lock, or any place.. send them to someone that is shut in, or as a Valentine present with some candy inside... they are just so cute...

This one I got a little carried away and so when you look inside... guess what you are peeking in the house... you can see three little birds all sitting on a branch, and then a bird with it's nest.. and also Happy Spring...

On the back and sides I put birds too... colored them all in with bright colors... hoping it will bring Spring to us sooner... enough of this cold weather...

Hope you enjoy these... For those of you in Whipperstampers group... we will be making these on Thursday night... so bring some decorative supplies... stamps and markers... wow what fun we are going to have...

Hope you enjoy these... and thanks for stopping by my Blog...

Brick Walls.... wow what fun !!!!

Todays Technique Challenge was to create a brick wall... so that I did... I dont' like to waste things, and as I told you the other two cards below with the messed up prints... well this is another one.. except this one stamped on white paper... I used gray paper on the others... so this one way not really 100% necessary that I use it... but hey... waste not, want not... so I made the bricks... adn then just took away the ones that were messed up... I added the lotus charm where their was a hole... and I loved it... so it was a GO for me...

I added the black trim... on the top of the card, and also on the bottom section... This is called an easel card and I do love making them.. .if you want directions... just let me know.. .I will write them out for you..

Hope you enjoy this card... I enjoyed making it... and thanks for visiting my Blog... hope you are enjoying it... let me know by your comments... that's the only way I know what you are thinking... my ESP has sort of gone by the wayside... LOL..

Have a wonderful day...

New Babies in the Spring

With Spring coming.. the Crane Family added a few members to their family as you can see...

This is a Fat Book Page.. .My second one for the Asian Fat Book.. (look below for details on Fat Books etc..)

I wanted to do something with a little more texture... so this one has it..
I have some of the areas popped, like the crane on the right side... and also the Ginkgo, and the gold emblem...

Just enough to make me happy... the color was lightly added with chalks. And then marker was used for the yellow of the beaks, and lime green for the lines in the ginkgo leaves...

Hope you like this one... I happen to really love it... and hope you all do too... leave me some comments about this one please... Love to hear what you think... and thanks for visiting my blog... I love to have you visit... also would love to have you become a follower... thanks...

Asian Fat Book Page

Okay.. before you get all excited... a Fat Book is a book that is made by alot of artists ... each gal creates a page... and then depending on the number of members for that particular book will make a page for each gal.. each gals page is then created the same for each member of the group... so in the end, each member will have exactly the same book, with the same number of pages... a wonderful book...

This month we have only 9 gals making pages... so the book will not be all that FAT... but one gal has created four pages... and I have created too.. this is my first one... and my second one will show up on the page above this...

My husband, Glenn and I were watching a TV show about the Panda, and the perils of the panda... and I felt so heart struck that I had to do my Asian page on the Panda... so here it is...

I create my background paper with a few bamboo stamps and many different colors of ink... and also some Twinkling H20's (gold ) spritzed all around the paper.. When were at the stamping convention in Greenville SC in September, I had to visit the Washi paper man... my favorite place... if I can walk away without spending a fortune I am lucky... but this year... no luck... I bought a lot of pretty pieces... and this was one of them.. .perfect for my turquoise bamboo Panda page...

I used an old bamboo punch and used some Gold cardstock scraps and punched out the emblem... I really wanted to add some of my own characters to the page, but left it as is... I hope you enjoy it...

These are two cards that I made with the left overs from the second page... there were four sheets that were stamped with mistakes etc... and so I couldn't throw them away... so I used them for overlays, and cut out the crane, and that kind of thing... and was able to get two more cards... I didn't add the other bird or the Gingko but feel that these are fine as is...

Hope you have enjoyed this little visit into Asia... and we will be there again soon.. .I love Asian themed cards and books.. and am learning how to write the chinese language... slowly but surely...

Glad you came for a visit... come back again soon...

A Casing for Anne Harmon

Every Sunday on SCS there is a challenge called Featured Stamper... and today it was for Anne Harmon. So since I am not able to post any cards on SCS today, I decided to do it on my Blog, so that Anne could see my 'casing' of her gallery... A casing is that you go into the Featured Stampers gallery and look at all their cards, and become inspired by some and create your own from it... This White on white one was really so very pretty and I love making white on white cards... so I started with that... I put a turquoise border behind the Happy Birthday... and also put turquiose centers in the flowers... but otherwise it is like Anne's... I love it... someone will be getting this card soon... that is for sure..

So after finishing that card, I had all this cute little flowers punched... and so I made another card.. Anne's FAVORITE color is RED... so I better make a RED card for her... She has quite a few red, white and black things... so I will use that color scheme... and add some of my things.. .like the twinkling H20's paper... for the Back ground and the heart... I used little half pearls for the center of the flowers... of course the background in white... I used .... yes you guessed it.. .a Martha Stewart border and corner punch... love those things... I will be getting a lot more this week... right Marie??? Thanks Marie for getting all these for me.. .I love them all.. and as you can see I use them all the time...

Hope you have enjoyed these... and I hope that Anne has enjoyed them too...

I am so very happy that she has been choosen to be the featured Stamper today... it is an honor..

Hope you have enjoyed this blog... and hope you will visit again...

A wedding in the Air

A gal that is in our Fat Book Group, is getting married, and she is having a country Wedding... so what could be more perfect than matching outhouses... LOL... I had this stamp sitting on my worktable and when I heard that Robin was getting married I just had to create a card for her using this stamp...

A little rough on his side... and very pretty eyelet on her side... and that is how the background was started...

Then I used the Classical Frame from Spellbinders to create the next layer... very easy to create... cut two white and 2 green frames, and then cut them in half... and sort of raise the green ones to slip out from behind the white ones... glue in place... and you have this glorious setting... now
you can position them anywhere you desire.. which is what I did with the next layer...

A layer with the cuddlebug folder of all hearts... run thru the big shot with a very pretty color of sage paper... and then the outhouses were stamped and painted very carefully... and cut out and added... the entire card is popped in between layers... so it is really a card when you have it in your hands... a bow was added... and then I mailed it to her...
Hope she likes it... it was ceratinly made with a lot of love for her and the love of her life...
Congratuations Robin... all the best to you.. .

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog... hope you enjoyed this card... please leave a comment about it... Thanks in advance...

Making a 3D item...

Okay... a good place to start..

Becky from NC asked how do I make 3D's... so here it is Becky... I hope that you can follow along.. I have a very difficult time doing this all backwards... not my cup of tea at all... but this is what I do...

First off I use fun foam and run it thru my Zyron... on one side only... reason being... that I glue the other side down... more on that later...

Then I print the same picture the size I want it 4-8 times.. depending on how complex the picture is, and how many layers I really want it... I have personally found that 4-5 layers is enough... but sometimes I go a little bit more... all depends... I think you will know when enough is enough... LOL... do we ever know that when we are buying paper... ??? I certainly don't... EVER.,.. always need MORE... more is better in that case???

Oh well I do get a little carried away at times...

Back to the 3D's... When I have my pictures all printed I then cut them apart and start to pick out what I want to pop last... and actually cut that out first... this is all a matter of how you think and your ways can and will be added to this... this whole thing is to get you started... and you will pick your own way of actually doing it...

Then as shown below... you lay them out as you cut them out... so that you can sort of get an idea of what it will look like...

Okay now you have all the four layers cut out and ready to assemble...
that was the most difficult part of the whole process...
The rest is easy as all get out...

I put the fun foam on the lower item.. and then apply the stick glue to the fun foam... reason being that it can slide around until you position it in the place you desire... it works so much better this way...

This has the flower added to the hat...You can see the 3D effect already...
Now add the other layers and you will be

HERE.......

If you looked at the side of the flower it would look like this... But this is really magnified... and I am up very close...

This picture shows you all four layers in place..

The final look of the hat.. with the four layers in place...

I hope that you all enjoyed this... and I would love some comments on if this was helpful to create a 3D item... it is really easy and I would love to see some of your finished 3D's... so please send me the locations...

Hope you enjoyed this..

Wedding present...

How many times have you gone to a wedding and thought about a gift that the lovely couple can really USE!!! Well there is nothing like cash... especially during these times..

Anyway.. I decided that the best thing to do was to give the gift of cash... in a nice card... and then along come todays challenge of a treat box or container and a small card... so I remember the cute little white hearts I bought last year... on sale... (I think that they were only $3.00 for 24 of these little hearts... ?? Can't honestly remember, but not much for each one.. that is for sure)

I had a white rose on hand, and made a pretty satin bow and then will tuck some money into the heart ... as it opens on the side... money fits in there very nicely too.. and the little card.. how very simple and cute is that ... a couple of little hearts from the Spellbinder Heart set... and some bazzill paper... and it was a snap.. in 20 minutes I had it up on the challenge... wow... fastest I have ever made anything..

Now I am going to put this all into another white box, (which I will also make and decorate with a simple heart and bow... and inside will be these two things... very plain and simple...

Hope that you can remember to do this next time you have a wedding girt to do... or better yet, do one up and have it on hand so that it is already and then all you have to do is put the money into it... wow... what could be more perfect...

Hope you have a nice day.. it is a little bit warmer down here... not much... be a wee little bit and the sun is shining in all it's glory.. Thanks for taking a look at my blog and the things on it... leave a comment or two... would love to know your feelings...

Pansies in purple!!!!

This was the Sketch Challenge today on SCS... I really loved it as you will see... four cards using it.. it was easy and allowed me to use my 3D's... so it was great...

This card really went together fast... I was waiting for things to upload, and I cut out all the layers (6 or 7 on this one... and two and three on the others below... ) then I popped them all and was ready to make the cards... I had the hardest time picking out the papers... I have way to many and found some that were really begging to be used... so I had to wade thru that.. and then the rest of the card was easy... making paper laces... see which one was the prettiest with this bouquet of Pansies... and then making the corner lace too... these are easy... just use the corner punch as you would on a corner... and then cut it off square.. and then glue down... cute and effective...

Thanks for visiting my blog today.. and if this is your first visit here I would love to have you sign up as a follower... I am going to make this fun... just have to get some more people as followers...

Hope you had a fun day... and trust that you will come back again soon..

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie...

A great Challenge with a super lovely sketch!!!

Wow these are the three cards that I did later on in the day... I really loved this particular sketch... and I played with it and had some fun... I had some really fun larger 3D items and wanted to show them off in the best way... so I needed some more space than some of the sketches allow.. .. So this was perfect... I cut them all out while waiting for the card above to be uploaded... you see... I am on dial up.. we live in a very rural area, and there is nothing but dial up at the present time... so everything takes an eternity plus some again...

So I can do things while waiting...
Nothing like doing two things at once... waste not want not... right???

Well... I used all kinds of papers from KandCompany and then layered with paper laces using my Martha Stewart punches... love those things... best thing since sliced bread...

I wanted to use some warmer colors too... so I got out the oranges and yellows... as I have been wanting to work in these colors too..

Making frames with the spellbinders dies are so simple.. I love it.. you can make a frame of any design that you have a die for... wonderful tool...

I used some paper that I painted with Twinkling H20's and made the medallion... put an orange pearl in the center... and loved it...

Butterflies to match a card... nothing but the best for cards that are made with love... always choose the papers that you like the best and make your card something to be proud of... When I send a card to someone, it is like I am sending them part of me...

This card has my favorite flowers, Daisies on it... I have three layers of paper for make the daisy puff out... some light orange pearls and it is a wrap... love it... love all the cards I made today...

Hope that you had a nice day.. I did... but I did spend a lot of time sending all my love to all the thousands of people in Haiti who have survived this terrible earthquake... I just hope that they get some relief soon...

Send your love to them...
Thanks for taking a look at my blog... glad you came to visit me... I really appreciate you all.. believe me... thanks also for all the lovely comments too... they are most welcomed.

Pink, Chocolate, and eggplant...

Wow a really different challenge for me... these colors are fine... but all combined with each other..???? The brown was really the culprit... as I am not that use to using this color at all.. I prefer purples, blues, and pinks... add some greens, even beige and black.. but that is about it.. so this was really a challenge for me...

But after three cards, I got the hang of it, and was fine with it...

I had stamped a lot of these early this morning... so I had to paint them... (with my H2o's of course..) and then cut them out... yeah.. with that all done, I then was able to decide which papers to use...

Easily said.. but start to look thru a 6 inch pile of paper and see which ones you pick out... aout of the many, I was able to see about 15 that were okay.. and then narrowed that down to about 6 and then was able to pick out what I wanted...

I love to layer, so that is not a problem... and the more layers the happier I am.. a little bow and wow... I am happy...

Trying to decide on a bow can be life changing in many ways... LOL..

So here are the two final cards that I added to the color challenge...

Hope that you like them... leave me a message...
Come back later when you get a chance... and also pass on my site to others that you feel would like to visit...

Thanks a million...

Tuesday Tea Party

Every Tuesday there is a Challenge called Tea pot Tuesday.. and there is always someone weaving a wonderful 'story' to go along with the challenge... This week it was all about apples... and this little girl being the best picker in the world... so I created these two cards..

The one to the left was also for the color challenge... where we had to use Chocolate, Pink and Eggplant... a very hard combination for me to use... but after afew I was able to get the hang of it...

This one I used my Martha Stewart punches and created a frame for the two paisleys... and then added my gal was was dancin her heart away... Of course I made the flowers too..

Making flowers like this is very easy.. .they don't have to be fancy.. draw a simple flower, like a child would draw... and then with a paint brush, paint it in... and then outline with a darker color... cutting it out add dimension to it... then I punched a tiny little flower out of a contrasting color... and put that in the center and added some liquid pearl as the center.. very simple and looks like it took all day... only minutes and you can have a whole bouquet done...

This one was a funny card... but it came out pretty cute... I might even be able to use it??? I made a 'barn' with some left over pieces of paper on my work table, and then added some leaves to look like a branch. I then painted a piece of cardstock with my Twinkling H20's and then punched apples in two different sizes... put some pop dots on the back and added them to the branch...

What took me the most all day long, was to cut out the stamps of the girls... this one took me over 45 minutes... very detailed... and yet so very alive...

Hope you enjoyed looking at these cards...
Thanks for visiting my blog, and please leave a comment on your thoughts... would love to know what you are thinking... Thanks for visiting me and hope you return...

Another busy Tuesday

Wow... Tuesdays are so very busy with all the great challenges... so this morning I started off with stamping 10 things and decided that I would use them if possible.. I wanted to do flowers... so maybe this will work out... And it did... I love this one I did for Midnight Madness challenge... it was a sketch challenge... and this one was very nice to work with... loved it... I had fun doing it and was able to use this rose stamp... and I used three colors of Twinkling h20s in pink.. two yellows in just the flowers... then I added glitter.... in the centers...

I added some purple half pearls... and fell in love with this... I love purple and with these roses... wow ... I really love the look... I used the lattice spellbinder for the roses to mount onto... and that was perfect... I love all my Martha Stewart punches too... so I used two of them...

Thanks for taking a look at my Blog... and hope that you enjoy it...

Pretty Flowers

I have been making all these flowers... hoping that it will bring SPRING here quicker to us... it is not working as quickly as I would like it to.. but I am enjoying myself... so hey... I will take all benefits that I can...

Today there were a couple of challenges that allowed me to indulge in flower making .... so I took full advantage of it...

One challenge was to use scent... so I put small cotton balls of scent to pop up my flowers... I also used a lot of different things prior to that... I took a 6x12 inch piece of bazzil and folded it into three sections.. .the two side panels are 3.5 inches... so the center one is a little bit larger. I used pink Bazzill for the first layer.. and then added a layer of dotted swiss... love this cuddlebug folder... Then wanted the lacy look, so I added some paper lace using Martha Stewarts punches... then using the fleur di lis spellbinder, I created the bottom of the two out side panels... and used the scalloped heart spellbinder for the double heart... which was also run thru the dotted swiss folder...

I then painted some flowers.. actually I drew them with a black art pen... then used my chalks to fill them in... and then accents were put into the flowers with markers... and a final touch... a yellow pearl in the center... a few leaves to make a garland across the card... and a few some floral accents around from spellbinder folders...

I love this type of look... a combination of Vistorian, femine pinks, flowers, all the dotted swiss paper... just love the look.. will have to play again with this... and extend this card a little bit more each time... fun and games...

Then the next challenge was Clean and Simple... keeping the card in as much white as possible, and a few things as accents... this particular challenge wanted something cut out... most of my cards have something cut out... so that is good..

The card has Martha Stewart corner and border punch background... and then the tulip medallion was used to create a backdrop for the flowers... I also scented these... and added a huge purple half pearl in the center of each flower... trying to keep this as simple as possible... a satin white bow...

I love these type of cards... but am going to have to get some nice clear boxes to mail them... oh well... it will be worth it.. .I think that the friends and family I will send these to will love them.. so that will be the second gift to me...

Hope that you have enjoyed these too.. and thanks again for visiting my Blog... hope you are enjoying it... tell your friends about it too..

Bears For Sale!!!

Our sweet son Brett, and his lovely girl friend Casey came to visit us for a few days... what a loving time we experienced with them... we were sorry to see them leave this morning... but know that most fun things do come to an end...

Anyway.... while he was here he made a few bears ... they are southern bears... and are hiding from the cold inside the log... so cute... they are not quite finished in these pictures... but are all finished now and ready to go to your home... let me know if you want one...

Hope you enjoy seeing these... they were carved with a chain saw...

Brett has been awarded many awards for his carving all over the world... and some of his larger pieces are 35 foot tall.. you can also see them at the following location... http://www.facebook.com//profile.php?id=619191433&ref=pymk#/pages/Newton-NJ/Freehand-Custom-Carvings/181046102067?ref=mf

So go take a look see, he is one of kind in so many ways.. and very creative!!!

Thanks for all you give to me...

A special Valentine card...
Again another challenge was fulfilled at the same time... this was a couple of challenges ... so I felt really good.. as I was limited to the time I took to make it... A piece of Basic Grey paper... and a little gingham paper for the background. Then a border of lace made from a Martha Stewart Border punch. Then I used another punch to create the three punches in the pink paper... and put that onto a solid darker pink... added the hearts with SpellBinders scalloped hearts...

But again... my flowers were tugging at my heart... I had just made this cute little trillium and it was perfect for this card... being that I was only suppose to use red, pink, white and black... so I added a couple of cherry blossoms, which have a vellum center... and so much fun to make... a satin bow... and it is ready to send out...

I naturally made this with much love.. and hope that you enjoy it too...

My Love of Purple

On Saturday... a few days ago at this point... there was a challenge to again go to a web site... and to become inspired by some of the art there... which I was... the purple flowers did it... it literally made me create a card with the flowers and kitty.. one of which is very similar to hers... and then I let loose and created this other one..

So the one with the kitty in the flowers... I cut all the flowers out.. and then cut the centers out... and just glued them on to the card... added a few punched flowers... and then drew the little kitty... and wrote Hello... didn't really use any thing except my pen and scissors... but did enjoy it...

So I then created this other card... I drew some flowers, and then chalked them... and then added some accents with some markers... drew lots of little ones around it... and then decided to add another dimension... so I drew, painted and cut out the other flowers... add a few leaves... Then randomly added the side lines... putting liquid pearls into the centers of the little flowers...

As I said.. purple is a love of mine... so these were very easy for me to create... purple is a color of high spirituality... and so this was easy... Hope you enjoy them... and thanks for taking the time to visit my web site and look at my cards.. hope you will become a follower...

Lilies with Love

Oh I do so love doing these pretty flowers... and this one was a highlight to say the least... This wonderful person, Phyllis, asked me to do a challenge for Midnight Madness... what could I possibly say except YES!!!! So I made this card for that Challenge... and of course had to make more too...
But this is the card that got deleted in the last upload of cards...

My husband and I were happy to have our son visit us for a few days... and we totally had a lot of fun... and totally enjoyed each and every second that we visited with him and Casey... it was super good to see them both...

So maybe now that they are on their way home, I will get back into my card schedule and get some things up...

Thanks for visiting my blog.. and do hope that you enjoy all the cards ...

Floral cards

I wanted to share with you some of my floral cards... I love to make flowers from paper scraps... it is a multi purpose project... I can use scraps of paper, and punch out the pedals of the flowers, and also create something that I love to make and see... so it has many features... I do think that they add a super dimension to a card...

So in between things, I would come into my studio and start to make a few blossoms... punch out the pedals of scraps of paper, and then create the flower... you have to break down the fibers of the paper so that you can get the flower to have pedals that look real.. so I start with that... (not the most fun of the making.. but something that is essential... then I add details to the pedals... sometimes I add the details prior to breaking down the fiber... then start to put the flower together...

Each one of the cards here was done for a different challenge, so they have different backgrounds etc... but the flowers were all done approx. the same way...

I do love making all kinds of flowers, and I get my inspiration from all the seed catalogs that come across my desk... You see, again for those that don't know this... Glenn and I live own a farm... (organic and biodynamic) we have some critters and try to grow as much of our food as possible... we do live in the country.. .very rural to most.. can not see our neighbor type of thing... and the worse part.. is that we have dial up for our Computers... (hopefully we will be getting Uverse soon... and we are keeping our fingers crossed on that one... ) We can't even get dish... as the mountains block out the connections for this... cell phone in our house... forget it... we use all the old fashioned things... a line phone, dial up and a few other things that we would like to have a little more up to date...

Well I just deleted a card... but I will share it with you later...
I hope to play today, but not really sure... you see our son is with us for the week.. so I have been laying low, and not playing in my studio.. Seeing him is so great... we only get to see him a few times a year... and this is one of those special times... So we are spending as much time as possible with him...

If you have the ability to go onto Face Book, his name is Brett McLain and he is very talented... he does wood carving with a chain saw... he has won many trophies for his outstanding number one work in many shows all over the world... so check him out...

http://www.facebook.com//profile.php?id=619191433&ref=pymk#/pages/Newton-NJ/Freehand-Custom-Carvings/181046102067?ref=mf This is where you will connect to his site on Facebook... enjoy...

So he is going to carve a few pieces today for our yard... and I will see if I can take some pictures of him working... and share them with you... also will show you what he has created... while he is doing that... his girl friend and I will be playing in my studio... and I hope I can share some more cards with later... but being with him right now is the most important thing in my life...

Thanks for visiting my blog.... and I really appreciate all your comments and love...
You are all great ... create something special today... go out of the box and experiment.. you might be surprised at how GREAT you really are ... in so many ways.. we all don't give ourselves the praise we deserve... love yourself and create...

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

A few cards to share

I think at this point for those that don't know me really all that well, will under stand when I say I love to make cards!!!! I guess it is an understatement in many ways... but don't we all???

Anyway... I had a lot of fun making different things on cards and this is one.. .I love making layered butterflies that sort of look like they are going to take off... but when they are put into the envelope ... they get all flat..

SOoooooo......I figured out how to make them always be a butterfly ready to take off... especially when you take it out of the envelope for the first time.. I put thin strips of fun foam that I have glue near the center of the butterfly... they always just pop up again... always ready!!!! The flower on the lower left side of the card was stamped on paper that I created with my H20's... and left a lot of watermarks... then stamped this Bohemian style flower and again using H2o's colored it in... along with a gold gel pen... Very plain and simple...

Thanks for taking a look at my blog... I really enjoy the fact that you come to visit...would love for you to become a follower... thanks a million... Have a super creative day...

Turquoise, Lime and Humter ... with a touch of pink WOW

January 5th .... a Tuesday... oh my goodness... what a busy day it has been... up early, got some cards made... then posted them.. made some more... pasted them... In between that my order of paper came in.. oh wow.. the colors are so very beautiful... I will be sorting it out tonight so I will get it into the mail soon.. .for those that are waiting... the colors...WOW.. love them all...

Anyway.. I did want to share with you the first batch of cards I made today... the challenge was to create with Turquoise, lime and hunter.. with a touch of pink...

So these are the three that came to mind..

The other day I had a few friends over and we made some paper flowers... it is very time consuming to say the least... one rose can take at least 20 minutes... you punch out 20 or so PEARS... in the color you desire... then you cup the paper, and then bend it... and get it all soft and then you are ready to start to glue it all together.. Layer by layer...

The daisies are pretty easy... I am thankful for that ... as they are my favorite flower and I use a lot of them..

I had a lot of fun making these cards today.. .thanks for taking the time to view these ... hope you have enjoyed your stay here... and that you will come back again..

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie
Every Sunday on Spilt Coast Stampers there is a challenge called Casing... you go into a particular gals Gallery and look at her cards and then make something that looks like it... but you change some of the things around... I loved a lot of the cards that this gal had created, and so I did this valentine card similar to a couple of her cards.. .I used different colors, and stamps... but it looks like her work...

Anne Dodd was her name.. and she had some really pretty Butterful cards... so I chose one to 'CASE' and this is it... she had used different colors... but for those that really know me.. they know I have a passion for purple... so of course mine had to be purple.. and also I had to POP it so it would look like it was flying...

A few years ago we built a butterfly garden on our farm... it was so very beautiful.. .there were 100's of butterflies there at any given time.... all wild flowers and then we added some of our own seeds too.. But this past summer we needed the space for Sweet Potatoes, so the garden was plowed under, but another one will be planted this coming summer and hopefully we will be able to keep that one going for a while...

So here is the purple Butterfly...
Hope you have enjoyed these...

The challenge was to make a quilt with paper… right up my alley, that was for sure… I use to make a quilt a week… I never had enough of them around me.. I love quilts… have them all over my house.. at least a couple in each room.. .they are an important part of each room to me… Anyway… I had so many ideas, that I really didn’t know which to do first… but these are the two I created…

I cut my papers first, then glued them into place… then I decorated them into cards… but adding all the things that you see… Spellbinders.. where would I be without you??? I love these things… they are so very useful and create a positive professional look to each and every card and project…

The blue one has a 3D fairy that has about 6 layers to her... and the flowers are ones that I created with my H20's... and then put a diamond glaze over them...

This one... the peach Love one... is really my favorite one... I also enjoyed making this one a lot more... I used three different prints.. 2 lime green and one that is really pink... The flowers are pink too... but when put into the computer... it looks peach.. so it is peach... I love this one.. the little pink gingham bow finishes it to the T...

Thanks for viewing my blog... hope you are enjoying it...

Puprle Dragonfly on the rise again...

A card that was created as a challenge on Split Coast Stampers… the challenge was to go to a web site that they specified and take a look see.. then create a card from the inspiration… The gal who had done the work was very talented and so I chose a couple of things to combine to create this card... I created the corner 'stamps' with some fun foam... cut the shapes out and then glued them onto more fun foam... put metallic acrylic paints out and then stamped the images.. wow ... I love the look... to finish off the look, I put some liquid pearls by ranger on the areas to accent... These were typical colors that she used... not my usual... but they did have a ring to my ears... so I was okay with it...

Thanks for taking a look see... Hope you enjoyed this one...

Sweet Flower

Here is another doodle for you to enjoy... at least I hope you will.. I used a cuddlebug folder to create the background... My cards are generally 5x7 in size... so how did I get this nice large bg paper... well I very carefully ran the paper thru twice... and created the larger piece of bg paper.. Then I cut a circle with my spellbinder circle die cut set.. and then listen carefully... I used the CORNER PUNCH and punch out as many CORNERS as I thought I would need... I cut them out of the corner... into a V shaped thingy... and then GLUED them onto the circle... fun and pretty... now you can do that with all your corner punches... wish I had the time to do them all... but you get the idea... I then had to copy my doodle ...as they are not into rubber stamps yet... and added alittle color... and mounted onto the circle...

The butterfly... again from Spellbinder butterflies.. these is one set that has three of them... I cut them all out and then one on top of the other..the bottom one has a little blue ink on it to make it stand out away from the white paper... add a few pearls for the body of the pretty butterfly... and it is ready to fly off into the sunset...

A little powder blue bow and all done...

How do you like it??

Well I had fun creating it... and hope you do enjoy this and all the other cards on here...
Susan, I would love to chat... write me on E-mail...

Purple Pansy... soooo Pretty

Oh we did have so very much fun... making daisies, roses... pink and white, lilies, pansies.. .see the little faces on them... I love them... I will show you more as the weeks go by... I love making these flowers and will share them all with you... this one I especially loved so I had to use it first... I chose to use my newest border punch... from Martha, and then added my heart border punch.. .with a little bit of an addition on the corners... I cut out some of the border punch and added it with some glue!!!! I then used a piece of paper I had painted with my trusty H20's.. and then a label from Spellbinders... oh wow.. I am liking this one... great for todays inspiration... and its color is really getting me in the mode to create a lot today.. WOW..

A little bow and then the pansy with a few added leaves.. and some pearls...
Have a fun time...

The littlest angel

Oh how I love this little one... she only has a few layers as she is not very large... only about an inch and a half... but so very cute... She needed a special place to roost.. and she found her way onto this card... This card style is called the Side Step.. .and on one side it is a 'normal' card... and then the other side has three levels.. so fun and really adds a punch to a card... anyway, you can see that the whites over took my card again... A frame, some of the floral accents.. some hearts, and of course some eyelet... from a Martha Stewart punch... the accents are all done with Liquid pearls... by Ranger and the flowers I created with punch art.. I love doing that too.. and I think April and Marie have the deep desire to make some more too... right girls...
This little card is on it's way to the Greenville stamp group for their Monday night meeting... I hope she inspires other to create a lot of these fun cards too..

Enjoy this and all the others you can see... please look at the archives on the right... and also become a follower.. Have a super good day and enjoy everything that you do...

Faeries in Apricot

I wanted to use some of my 3D sheets... so this was a priority today... this little PINK one was so sweet that I had to use it.. and cut out all the layers... then I made some flowers that I thought matched it... and when I got all done realized that this matched my apricot papers so perfectly... so it became apricot!!!! I used the Dotted swiss folder for my bg paper... and also the eyelet pendant for the base... then I cut out the leaves cuddlebug folder for some added leaves... but the other leaves are ones that I cut out... I also painted the flowers with my H20s and then used a gold pen to accent them... used a stamen punch on velum for the centers of the flowers... Added a large pearl and bow... love this one... hope you do too...

Hope you are enjoying the new year so far... I know I am... lots of good friends around on the 1st... and also today... feeling good...
