Pretty Flowers plus new techniques

 A tag for a couple of challenges...  first off this is for Tims tag for May...  I am so very happy about this... as I had bought the melt pot a few months ago to make porcelain flowers... and the list of to do's kept on getting longer and longer... and the porcelain flowers just never got to the top of the list...  o well... this pushed me into dusting off the melt pot and doing it...  I did do it a little bit differently though... you will see below... 


I also love my Mondays as I can sit and think about what I am going to create for Simon Says Stamp and Show...  I love that challenge... all the DT really do GREAT work... and it is very inspirational... so today it was Anything Goes... LOVE IT... so I am combining the two...  but will most likely do another for both or one...  LOL... have to see how the day goes...   


I also wanted to do a new technique that I have been wanting to do for a while... and I did it on this tag...  it is really great... you collage a piece of paper to the desired space... and then brayer some acrylic paint over it... and then wipe it off quickly... leaving a faded image!!!  So I did that over the bird cage area...  it did exactly what I wanted to do... left the image and yet not as clear as it was... just the desired look...  


Prior to doing that ... I had made my background with some of the new Squeezed Lemonade Yellow Distress ink... very very pretty color... bright and charming... and when dry... just sweet and lovely...  then I used a crackle stamp of Tim's with Archival Coffee to make the paper look a little old...   and roughed up the edges...  


My Mannequin...  well... that took me a little time... I didn't like the first 4 I did... wrong size... wrong color... wrong this and that... so finally I got this one... and it was perfect...  color just what I wanted... I am in this pink and yellow phase... ??? Love them together... .especially with Dyan's dylusions... love that ... yikes... wild plus... okay... back to this...  


Then I took a Wreath from Garden Patch Collection    and after coloring it with my Distress Markers... which I love the greens in that collection of markers... best ever... and then I used some Liquid Pearls to give some dimension to the leaves..  

 I love that look...  


The Seam Binding ribbon was dyed with the Lilac in the Spring Collection of Distress Inks... and put around the mannequin shape...  
THEN  ..... I have to tell you I had funny feelings about using the melt pot... I am chemically very sensitive... so I was a little worried... but I opened my French doors on the studio and it was fine... I plugged it in and went to town...    I had made my flowers... and I used BABY WIPES.... that  I had dyed with the lilac ink... and then cut them with the Tattered Florals die cut...   I didn't know how they would hold up... but they did GREAT... as you can see... they are so very thin and look fragile as all get out... total porcelain

 This is looking up from the bottom of the tag... as I tucked on under neath the wreath...  love the shimmering and shining of the flowers... so very pretty...  

 Then I took a violet I had made...  a flower that I have been working on for a new collection.... and it had been colored with the new lilac also...  and then a drop of Liquid Pearl for the center of the flower...  I love the bubbles  that I got into this flower...  it reminds me of Dew Drops on the violets when you pick them in the early morning... I love to use violets on cakes etc... and always will dip them in powdered sugar...  so very pretty on a cake or fancy cupcakes... they are so good to eat too... full of vitamins for the well being of your body... 

So looking back on this fun tag... I love the whole thing... and I learned a lot of fun things...  I love the colors together...  and had fun with the new techniques...

Mr Snail

A special page in so many ways...  I have been wanting to do another challenge for Inspiration Journal and this month it is watercolor... a favorite medium for me to use ... and also wanted to try this other technique.... and so I combined them both...  

One the left had side of this journal page... I used my gelatos for create a water color effect... using brown, yellows, and then down to a pale yellow...  I used all kinds of paints (twinkling H20's, Distress stains, Mini misters, Ink pads, Gelatos... you name it) and made a few more leaf stamps using the pink eraser material... and a nice sharp knife!!!!  Love doing these...  I stamped about 100 of them.. so I got carried away... what else is new???  

Then I started to play with the other part of the page... 
I used some egg shells... and even though they were brown eggs, I used the insides of the eggs and glued them onto the paper... (separate piece) and then went to town painting, misting and adding gold Twinkling H20's... and making this really yummy background... 

Then I took some other leaves and a snail and watercolored them with H20's also..  I love these watercolor paints... as they have the mica in them too... always makes everything pop and shine when they are dry... love them.  

Okay... the snail... the meaning of the snail was that in college when I was an art student I was not allowed to use my name until I got my degree... so I used a snail as it was easy to 'sign' my name using any size brush to create the snail logo... so thus the snail.. but I read this really cute little short story that was just a passage from a book... the book is called   ... are you ready for this... 

The Sound of a Wild Snail EATING.... by Elisabeth Tova Bailey...  
If you get a chance... read it... wonderful story... all about her healing and also becoming friends with a SNAIL.... so very unique and loving... Get the book...   Love it...  

Well my story for the day... a true one in so many different areas... and all about healing, loving our own spaces...  and enjoying who, where and what we are not matter where we are at this time... Love yourself.  A very hard thing to do at times... but we must all move into this direction...

Bird Book

 As promised I have a few of the pages from the bird book here...  I used a lot of different techniques on each page... but one of the favorites at this time is the alcohol ink release technique... so I have a lot of them to show you... 

 I used a lot of Tim's Die cuts and bird stamps and dies of all kinds... actually I spent quite a bit of time gathering them all up and then I started to play... the pages were filled in no time... actually way shorter than I wanted to be done with this fun little book... the house that it stays in I put up yesterday... so if you missed it... please take a look see... 

 I used flowers of all kinds... and loved making them of course... 


I added tissue tape ruffles, and lace and stamped where I needed and wanted too...  I had a lot of fun to say the least...  

 I used two huge 2 inch rings to bind these pages together... the book is about 5 inches tall and about 4 inches wide...  


I made all the background papers... of course with my distress inks, and worksheet... I did dry emboss some... but generally just used the inks... 

 I did use some regular papers and then collage some too...  but always had to add some plastic sheets with some birds on them... LOL... love making these and using them is just as much fun...  

 I used some of Tim's charms and also dies for some of the pages...  and notice the little tabs... love that die... I love the tabs.. so vintage of my school days...  yikes... I am really dating my self... LOL..  

 Here is a huge sheet of plastic... dont' you love it...  wow... I love that technique... if you haven't tried it... DO... you will be hooked... 

 I also had to add a little bird that I drew for Pretties by Bonnie


and also used some leaves and seam binding too...  the background is a punched piece using a corner punch by Fiskars... 

I saved this for last... my very favorite page... I made the little bird with shrink plastic... and then glued it onto a charm!!! How cute is that... I LOVE it.... birds are really a love of mine in so many ways... I love watching them and they are always so busy around our home... and farm... we have bird houses all over the place... even a bat house and owl homes... three of them in fact... the squirrels took over one of the owl houses... and turned it into a condo!!!   
Oh well we all have to make adjustments when we can...

Recycle your things

 Okay... Grungy Monday has really gotten me going this week...  LOL.. here is another project...  I made this to wear... and have not wore it yet!!!  


I made it from a piece of plastic from a Spellbinder folder... that plastic is so very thick that I don't like putting it into the land fill at all.. it is great though for project using Tim's resist with alcohol inks... LOVE IT...  both the inks, the technique and the necklace .... LOL... 

 anyway...  I used a large Fiskar stamp that I had gotten at the $1.00 store... and then a few inks on the felt blender... and then added some copper around the edges, and then a few corners...  


And a few beads on the bottom of the piece...  


I used a piece of vintage clip art in the center of the 'frame'.... 

 I sanded off the corners to bring the copper out in them... 

And using my Distress embossing powders, I colored the idea-ology as you can see...  what fun I have ...  

Maybe I will be able to wear this with my new blouse!!!

Just a tiny little glass of wine

 Background... Using A distress ink pad, I smeared it onto my worksheet.. and then misted it lightly... and took my tag and rubbed it into the inks..  I think I used Victorian Velvet, and a little bit of Spun Sugar.  then I used some Perfect Pearls Mist over the entire tag... again grabbing a few colors and misting... then using my heat gun to dry...  


Okay... then I grabbed some of my stamps... wanted that olde Vintage look of the paper... so I used my crackle stamp 6x6 from Impression Obsession... and some Vintage Photo Distress ink and created this look...  I used a tiny little stamp by Tapestry Stamps for the leaf border... and also some black archival ink that was there on my worktable... things are used that are handy... and it was left there... so it got used...   Then I cut out my vintage clip art... and glued that down...  

 Then I wanted to do some tiles... so I grabbed the fractual Idea-o logy squares and put alcohol inks on them...  I used Latte, Hazelnut and a little red... can't remember the name of it... anyway wanted a little of that... it only takes a few minutes (seconds actually ) for the inks to dry... 

Then using a Black Archival ink pad, I inked up my Tapestry flowers and inked onto the alcohol ink... and then as quickly as you stamp you wipe it off... and you have the imprint of the stamp... it is so wild... 
You might have to look hard.. but there is alittle flower in the upper right hand corner... and a larger flower in the lower middle of the tile...  then I flipped the fractual over and stamped a dragonfly with the black archival ink... and allowed it to dry... You should try this... you can use any kind of plastic... even cut up a sheet of packaging... it all works...  then you adhere to a sheet of glossy white paper...  I used Glossy accents to glue it down... (good glue to use for so many projects)  

I used a few different size tiles for this tag... all are so much fun to create... have to use this more often...  

I guess you can use different backgrounds for different looks too... think I will try some metallic ones next!!!  That should be fun... maybe use my silver foil and a little alcohol ink on that... wow... I will have to play some more with these little tiles... also some plastic recyclable sheets... always love to recycle.

Now you see it .... now you don't

Sometimes a technique really allows you to create some amazing things with it... this is one of those techniques... I love creating using this one... So I love to share it too... 


Saturday a group of my friends were all suppose to come over and play... but we had tornado warnings and all decided to wait until Sunday to play... which was good, as it was still a cloudy, rainy type of day and I sort of think that  allows us all to play better... dont' you??? 

Anyway... we did have a nice time... and we were all working on different things but we also enjoyed sharing different techniques too... April showed us how to make a really cute little 'basket' using a square piece of paper... and then I showed how to create 'bleach spots' using water... a fun Tim Technique... and then I wanted to share this fun Alcohol ink and plastic technique... so we did it... everyone had fun doing it... I wish that I had taken a picture of Susan's pieces as you will not be able to see them... but her's were really nice too...

Of course we have to give credit where credit is due.... Tim Holtz does a fun 12 Tags of Christmas starting on December 1st... and of course most of you know that I loved doing them this year...  you can see them all by going to my newest blog...  Christmas Loverlies and on the right you will see a section that will allow you to see all the tags that I created for this 12 days of hard learning and playing... loved every minute of it too...   WOW.. what fun it was.  


Anyway on the 5th Day... Tim did this fun technique and I made quite a few things doing it... and I wanted to share this technique and spread the good news...  as it is a FUN way to create different things with it... 


So here is my tag... that I created on December 5th... 
The nice part about it is that if you don't like what you have created you can erase it with solvent!!! How neat is that... love it even better...  




Okay... now Linda Ledbetter who happens to also LOVE Tim's techniques does a wonderful blog and she has a challenge using Tim's techniques every Monday... called GRUNGY MONDAY.... I happen to love doing these challenges... as I love getting grungy!!!  
On January 16th she challenged us again to use this technique... so by going to this challenge you will also see quite a few more pieces of creations using this technique too...  and so I created this necklace  for this challenge... I have not wore it yet... but do have it hanging up to wear soon... 


I also wanted to do something special for Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge so I created this little scrapbook of my Grandson's birth... and this is the cover...  So after seeing all these fun things you can create is your mind spinning???  


On Sunday when April, Marie, and Susan all came over to play I also created a few things using this technique... and these are them... 


I love using the little fractual pieces of Idea-ology but also you can use sheets of plastic... yes the packaging sheets are GREAT to use... you are helping by keeping this stuff out of the landfills..... and also creating something special with it... so if you haven't already got a stash... I know that you will start one NOW... 

I used sheets of plastic for these two projects... 
 This tag is for a few challenges ..

Last week on Grungy Monday Linda wanted us to use this technique... so I obviously did get very involved with this Linda... thanks for the reminder... love it... But then this week Hels Sheridan at Sunday Stamper wanted us to do faces... so here it is... faces... what could be more perfect... lovers faces...   and then on Simon Says Stamp and Show they are asking for a song title... so this tags name is Michelle, My Belle... by the beatles... love that song... and I am singing it right now... I only know parts... but I am singing it all ... even the ya ya ya's... LOL...   

 A close up of the faces... so very delicate... the vintage clip art is really fun...

My tag was created by using a few colors of brown.... Latte and Hazelnut alcohol by Ranger...  You will love all the colors... but these are two that I used for this sheet... then I used a few Tapestry stamps for the relief... When you try this technique you might think it is difficult and not try it... dont' limit your experiences .... this is so easy a child can do it...  the hardest part is gathering all the things you need to use...  and moving quickly to remove the black archival ink...  LOL.. that is the fun part too... it is so amazing... 
I do hope you will try it...  

Okay... then I used some inks that April and Susan had on their blending tools... and created a sheet of pretties... and then I again used a stamp that April had on her acrylic block... and randomly stamped all over the plastic... creating this fun piece of plastic... then I cut it up into 1x1 inch squares... and made this little box for putting all the pieces onto it...  I used Glossy Accents to cover and protect the little squares...  Love the look of this... and it will go into my pile of Christmas presents for 2012... Yes I have already started on making a few gifts... a couple each month will give me a head start...  

Well I know this has been a long blog.. but hopefully a fun one for you... I know that I had fun creating and doing all these things... and hope you will try this one... it is so much fun.

I love creating different backgrounds... and this one was really fun...  I love to create tag backgrounds with different inks... and so this was tag that I must have 
inked a long time ago... I then embossed it... and used a resist pad over the flowers... and heat embossed with white embossing powder...  

What a great texture, and look it has in real life...  

I took some heat  vent tape... (go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy a roll... not expensive and you can make tons of embellishments with it...  I peel it off and put onto card stock and you have a wonderful metallic paper... you can even use alcohol inks on them... really GREAT... and so very inexpensive too!!! )  and created the Stacked LOVE...  and added some Vintage clip art... and a word from the Valentine Stamp that Tim released... love it too..  A simple yet fun tag...

Amazing Ornaments

 Today's tags that Tim has created were not really something in my stash... so I made a tag that sort of looks like a combination of the two of them... LOL... Oh well.. 


Tim used a reversed stamp... I have none... so I wanted sort of the same look.. so I took a piece of recycled plastic from packaging and stamped it with Archival black ink...  


Then I got out my alcohol inks.. and a fan... to take away the fumes...  and started to created different alcohol papers... love doing that... I think I did about 10 or so... LOL... I love stashes I can use in the future... anyway.. .I love to be able to choose which one is the best for me to use... so I chose this one... about 6 different greens... and then some Gold... love it.. rich and yummmy.....
Mounted that onto black paper... and then created my actual tag paper by painting with some Twinkling H20's... 

 Then the fun part started...  Yikes this was really fun... taking one of Tim's Charms... I put alcohol ink all over one side...  this one I used Red Pepper and the other one might look like the same color... but it was Watermelon... not enough difference ... but hey.. they are pretty no matter what... Then when dry... I used my black archival ink and stamped a snow flake... as seen and then rubbed off the ink.. then you see the void... 


So I took some silver sticky tape... and put that on the back and trimmed around it... made the little top of the ornament by fancy cutting more of the silver tape..  a little black wire and it was ready to hang on the paper.... 

The oval ornament I used a star stamp.. and I didn't really like the way it turned out... but it had to do... 

I cut a deer out of actual sheet music and used some antique linen stain on the edges... 

I added a rusty snowflake... some seam binding and was done... 

A fun tag to say the least... I learned a lot in doing it... try making some ornaments... I am going to play with this a little more... I think it will be fun... have to go get some warmer clothes on though... the fan is a little bit too much... LOL...

Holographic Deer in flight

This tag is for Ink on my Fingers challenge... Hels asked us to use contrary colors of Blue and Orange... and it really has proven to be an all time favorite of mine... I love this color combination...  

So I have made a few this week...  LOL.. 

Anyway... this one started out with a piece of white paper... and I used a white dabber to stamp on some background words and design... then I stamped the deer ... which I made the stamp from my die cut... and some fun foam...  love doing that... sorry that this picture is blurry... it is because of the battery... need a new one I guess.???  

Anyway... I stamped the deer with coffee Archival pad... and then I laid out some colors on my worksheet... stormy sky, broken glass and some pumice stone... and then spritzed with water... wow... i love doing that... great effects... then I used some silver and gold overlays... and the paper started to look very holographic.. wish that you would be able to see this all in this picture... but hey... at least I could get this much... then I used some words in the upper left corner... and tissue tape in the right corner... and deer in flight die cut (Tim's of course) ... the deer were cut out of some additional papers that i made with using the Distress stains and word stamps...  The Fence is also made from Corrugated box lid and tim's die cut...  Wow... love this tag... it really looks simple, but took a long time to create...  you might never realize it, unless you tried to do the same... yikes.. amazing how time flies when you are having fun...

Halloween is almost here...

Halloween is almost here…

Spooky and full of color… lots of fun for children…

Costumes, trick or treaters… lots of fun is what I think of when I think of Halloween…

So here are a few tags that are simple… for a fun time of year…  

The CROW… my favorite bird until this year… I still love them… but hey they can really do some damage to a crop… they ate all my watermelons… and all our corn… and then hopped in to destroy the beans and pulled down sunflowers… bad birds… but they are the LAW of the bird colonies… and are really majestic in many ways…

This tag was created with Distress ink pad rubbed on my worksheet and then spritzed with water… and then I dribbled water over the top in certain areas to create the ‘bleached’ affect… The leaves are stamped with a gold liquid that I bought years ago… and it leaves a raised effect… also a twinkling nice effect… I made the stamp from eraser rubber and created the design myself…   the bird’s paper was created the same… but no spots… and then cut out with a Tim Die cut…  the pin and token added for the Halloween theme.  

 

 Both of these tags are for the following two challenges... where on Grungy Monday you have to create something with Tim Holtz products and also a Halloween theme... Grungy Monday  and the wings are are to be used for the  Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge.  

This tag was created a little bit differently.. the Distress Ink pad was rubbed on the worksheet and then spritzed with water...  allowed to dry and then embossed with the pumpkin embossing folder by Tim Holtz... Then I used his Tattered Leaf die cut to create the leaves... but I also used paper that I had created the same as the tag...  and added some golds and silvers to the leaves, just for some added color... Fall is so wonderfully colorful in all ways... natures last yahoo to color until the white snow falls...  

The Bats were added ... for the spookiness of the Halloween spirit...YEAH...  The 31... well that is the night of all wonderment...  and the numbers are made from what else... GRUNGE BOARD!!!  Painted black and then embossed with vintage photo embossing powder...   love it... The pumpkins are colored with inks from distress pads...  and a brush... really gives them a nice soft look...

Altered Coasters

 This week on the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge we are to create a Wendy Vecchi look alike... Oh what fun I have had...

When you look at the Design Teams examples you will see a creation by Linda Couglin.... I tried to leave a message Linda, but was unable... I LOVE your panels... they are GREAT fun... so I had to replicate them.... I really got involved with these... and had a blast... hardly got dinner done last night... LOL.. 

I covered the coaster with white cardstock... and for 

what reason I will never know... except I wanted a clean slate to work on... LOL...  then I inked them with distress inks... I think I used Pumice stone on all of these... 

I then went to work on each one... and used the theme of BIRDS ... and went wild plus... having fun with each section of each one... 
I used an embossing folder on this one... and then added a mini bird cage...(Distress embossing powdered... with a couple of colors...)    and a tissue flower that I made...  

 On this section I used a Tim stamp for the background...  and then a few words ... actually a Wendy Stamp is in the upper right and lower left corners... and added a charm which I used alcohol ink to color... and then a tea bad medallion... which I created the tile and also made the medallion... 

Then last but not least... I used an embossing folder and put a Just Rite bird cage stamped in the center... and then used Utee ultra thick embossing powder to make the whole panel glossy... 
The Little bird is from the Mini bird cage die..(Tim's) and I colored it and also used Glossy Accent on it... The flowers are Lavish Frills (ideology)  and I used Victorian Velvet Distress stains on them... 
 Then the bird cage in metal... how about that ... with a little bird in there too... 

Love this panel... thanks Linda for the idea...  I had so much fun.. that i had to create another one...  I hung this on a special door in the kitchen... (actually to a small powder room... for women only LOL...)  I love it... 

So here is the other one that will get hung up there soon... 

I had to get some Christmas mojo going... so I started with this panel... what fun I had... yikes.. .I love having FUN... 
I used all kinds of things to create this as you can see... 
I did make all my background papers with Distress inks on my worksheet technique... and also some resist ones... 
I even used one of the NEW Christmas Charms that my neighbor bought me on the TIM CRUISE!!!  She had a blast by the way... and came home with all kinds of new fun things to make..with a suitcase filled with all kinds of goodies... paper, flowers, bling etc... wow.. is she going to have fun with that...    

 On this first panel, I did a resist with clear embossing powder... using a Christmas stamp by Tim... and then colored the Reindeer with alcohol inks... a brown first and then had to use the white... just to tone it down a bit... love that white anyway... just an excuse to use it, is all I need... the ticket another Tim stamp.. .and a little gold... 

 I had bought this Martha Punch with the bell.. and punched it out using a metal paper... and then embossing it with Black Soot Distress Embossing Powder... love it... The trees are also done with Distress embossing powder... love the texture that this gives to the hand and the eye...  

  The poinsettia is a Spellbinder die... and the bird a heartfelt creation... the bird cage a Tim Die cut...  and the background... crackle of course... Antique Brass... 

The little bells... are a must... love it... 

What do you think.... how many do you think you can hang in one house... I think that each bedroom door can have a different one... and then one on each bathroom door... and then... and then... and then... you get the idea... tons of these GREAT Panels... I think you have started something Linda.... and I love it...  thanks a million for sharing this idea...  just great.... okay.. .I used Seam binding tape to tie these all together... and also to hang it up... what fun I had making this...

A very SPECIAL book for a Very SPECIAL person

This is a special book that started out to be something else and turned into one of my very favorite books I have ever done…

First off.. I started by making the ‘rubber stamp’ myself… it is a block cut from rubber… and I love leaves, so I started to play with different colors… since I had the newest Tim Fall set of colors.. I started off with that… and stamped a whole 8.5 x 11 sheet with leaves in the trio of wonderful colors…  then I moved on… you will see quite a few different color sets… each sheet was cut into four sections… and mounted in this little book I bought for only $1.00 … big spender I am… LOL..

I let nothing go to waste… even the smallest scraps were used… so all each page is in this book…

I did emboss some of the pages prior to cutting with Distress embossing and also metallic embossing… I used Distress ink pads, and also Distress Stains on the

‘rubber stamp’ 

Other stamps that I used were assorted, but generally they are all Tim Holtz stamps…  I used a sheet of word stickers that has to be at least 8 years old… maybe more???  And the die cuts were all Tim’s… as I am sure you can tell… I painted them, stamped them, had fun with each and every page… I tried to match up colors so that each page was alive and living… also did totally out of the box things like purple trees… and square holes in the bird…  you will see as I go along with each picture of each page… I will try to explain as much as possible… in as few words as possible… I can be wordy at times… but want you to get the whole idea from this book…

This book is for my hubby… it is his 70^th Birthday today…  yikes… we don’t seem that old at all… LOL…

The numbers in the book total up to 70…  and at the end of the book I put a picture in of him, prior to the children being born… LOL.. we both gained years after that… LOL… don’t we all???

Okay… so here are the pages…  if there is nothing new,  there will be no  words and you know all… 

The Cover

 The cover… a flower that I made using Tim’s die cut… 

The bird was from a spellbinder… but I cut the center out… and put a sticker in there… floral delight… The wing is ideology from Tim…  letters GROW  also ideology grunge board…  love them… painted with black distress stains and then gloss accents on top… nice finish…

Milled Lavender and Concord Grape Trees

 Leaves… I love to make papers… and so often when I am up late at night and want to be quiet, I will make a lot of pretty papers… so from time to time, I will cut up some of the scraps and turn them into leaves… I always use the Tattered Leaves by Tim Holtzs line…  sometimes I will use a gold pen to outline the edges… but sometimes just as you see them here…

  I love banners.. but have to be honest and tell you that I hardly ever make them… but wanted to make one for this book… I took a piece of cording that is recycled and used staples that I dyed with my alcohol inks…

  The bottle has a safety pin in it… they use to be very valuable years ago… so since this is a vintage page… I put it in the bottle…

Recycle all you can

So often we throw out some of the best things… I had a couple of flaps from a small box on my work table… and I peeled off the paper on one side… and I had this wonderful corrugated look.. I used some mini misters and again had wonderfully colored corrugated board… that would cost $$$  But mine was free … oh yeah… a few squirts from mini misters… I cut them into squares and have a really nicely textured look here…

The bubble paper… is actually metal… (tape for H&AC bought from Home Depot…  $20.00 for a huge roll… ) 

I apply the tape to cardstock and then can be as creative as I want to be…  I ran this thru an embossing folder… and then alcohol inks on the top…  lovely texture again…

Metal ideology numbers that are covered in tissue tapes…  Oh wow… love that look… so nice… 

Forgot to mention that all the ribbons I have dyed are rayon seam binding tape… and I love the wrinkled look… smooth is not my style at all.. I love freedom of all kinds…  YEAH… and I had fun making these along with all the papers…

Tall pines with clouds

On this tag, I loved the tall pine trees… but they looked so lost… so I added some grass… and then added some sky… BUT … the sky has one added feature… Picket Fence Distress Stains… Oh how did I live without it prior to now???  I made instant clouds with it… and they faded a little so I went back in again and made them darker… LOVE IT…  do you have yours yet???  What a wonderful product this is…

Also tore a section of an old map out… and this is where we live…  so it is meaningful to us…

 

20…  Do you have any gold stickers… and some copper mesh screen..  I mounted the stamp onto the copper and cut it out… really wonderful look… 

23.. Resist with a white dabber……love that too… have you tried that technique… ??? You will love it… Using a stamp of your choice… put white dabber on it… and then stamp it onto your paper… allow it to dry or heat it dry… then with a blending tool and sponge,  and distress ink, color it…  allow it to again dry… and then moisten a paper towel with a little water and wipe off the are where the dabber paint is… love this resist effect…  so will you…

So there is my book… Happy Birthday to my sweet and dear hubby of 42 years…  Yikes we are getting younger…
