A Spooky Haunting HOUSE

Today I am again the PROUD GUEST DESIGNER for Frilly and Funkie...  I love doing challenges and love making things... so this is right up my alley...  creating something SPECIAL to share with YOU...

Okay... here is what I have made for this special
HALLOWEEN Special...
A SPOOKY HAUNTING HOUSE

So many times we think that things have to be a special in depth item in order to be fun.. but I had so very much fun putting this house together...

I LOVE IT.. .
and most likely it will go to one of my grandsons...  the only problem is which one...  maybe I will have to have more fun and make another one...  right???

OR...

Maybe I need it for myself.. as this little witch is so very special to me...  you see my neighbor who travels all over the world brought it back to me from the UK..  she said we are both witches and bought herself a big one... and also a little one...
so I  had to put it onto my house ... somewhere...

Anyway... I get so wordy... I apologize for that... but it is just my way of being..  LOL...

Here is the Spooky Haunting HOUSE..

This is the SPOOKY HAUNTING HOUSE...
and it is really a fun house...
When I bought this it was the brown paper mache house... and had no personality.. you know the kind... and so I added a few things...

First off, I painted the entire house black... then I added some white crackle that I had that was left over...  I have way too many things that need to be used NOW... so put them to some use...

I ran out of the white, so I added some pale blue crackle (no longer available... but I had a few bottles of it.. mixed it with what little white I had to extend it... )  used it all up now...

Added some black cobwebs... white ones would have been a little to pretty.. BLACK shows the oldness and dark to the house... spooky.... right???

Okay.. so I got a little carried away with the Heart trim... but the house use to be a nice old home... it just turned haunting a few hours ago...

and the spiders... they are spooky too... hanging all over the place... and wedged into places ready to eat their prey...

I bet you thought you would see the witch... not quite yet...  but the roof is a roof of Ideology tape...Halloween Ideology tape...  and then glossy accents all over the roof... made it like a glossy tin roof...  the pumpkin is sliding off the roof to make a mess all over the place...

Spiders are hanging out... waiting for little moths and bugs to fly their way... for a tasty meal...

(You can see the black hearts here a little better)

The building is in great need of some TLC... but it is haunted... and no one wants to go into it... can you blame them...
I think there are even some crows living in the house... ????

You can see what I mean... their is a skull and crossbones on the opening, where a front door use to be hanging...  and someone put some pumpkins there???  silly huh???

Maybe the witch that lives here did??? or maybe the ghosts did... that seem to by flying around the house all the time.. .

Things are so very haunting here that there is a grave stone by the front door...  maybe someone is under that area... spooky, isn't it???

See.... I told you there are ghosts around this old haunted house...  yikes... I am out of here...  I think there is a ghost on the front of  the house with red eyes...  scary stuff all right... I think I better run along now...

And up in the top room... a spooky pumpkin seems to be staring out of the window... wow... this place really is scary...
A bottle of poison by the front door...  EMPTY!!!???  Oh wow... and that fence...  really pretty scary!!!!

I didn't go into the house... a little to scary for me... but someone took a picture of what they saw in the roof...  a baby crow.. I knew it... I could just feel the crows all staring at us... lets get out of here...

Oh but wait a minute...  here comes the witch... she is landing on the roof...

What a 'cute' witch she is too...  a real little broom.... and little black shoes like a witch wears...   wow... she must be a real witch...

And there is one of those spiders going to welcome her home...  it has huge RED eyes too...

Her hair is as wild as she is...  and what a site for sore eyes...  LOL..

Please go on over to Frilly and Funkie and create something to share with this challenge... it is fun and also allow your creative bones to create something...

Thanks for coming here to see the
SPOOKY HAUNTING HOUSE.

And also I would like to say thank you to all of you who leave these great comments on my blog... I really, really appreciate them all.. and read and cherish each one...

Have a great and enjoyable and SAFE Halloween...

A little box with a surprise in it...

Well today has been a very interesting day to say the least... I have truly had a very very enjoyable day in so many ways...  but the best of all is that I have had fun playing in the studio... with friends, students and best of all ME...  A little of all is so very much fun...  and I had the best of all worlds.

So I did get a lot of things made...

But am going to show you what I created with a little found box...

This is the finished box...  but of course it has a story behind it...

Do you ever have something that you just can't throw away????  Well the other day I had an empty little box... small... 2 X 1.75 inches... or 5X7 cm...  small... little cute box... I just couldn't toss it...

here is the box...  a small little box.. okay???

I have to tell you that I love to make boxes, fill them and give them away or sell them by the dozen... not kidding either... I love them... At holiday time I have people that ask me for 12 boxes at a time... and they use them for so many different types of gifts.. .so this year, I wanted to add a new size and dimension...  so here it is...  I opened the little box all up...

and traced it onto some nice chip board... and started to trace... I had a class the next day and knew that they would want to make it... so made a few for them to play with too...  they are just so cute.. they fit into the palm of you hand with lots of room left over...

Score it ... and then put it together... voila... then you have to take it apart and cover it with some pretty papers...

And then add some decorations and embellishments all around it... I  took a spellbinder label and had to cut it, to make it fit on here.. this is a small little box... and the added a tag on the top that I had to write by hand... as I didn't have a small enough stamp for it...

I added some of my favorite LITTLE flowers.. and a little bow on either side...

Just when the Caterpillar thought the world was over...
She became a BUTTERFLY... oh so profound...
We have to remember that one...  when we are feeling down and out... all of a sudden we become a BUTTERFLY...

The ends...

The top with the little flowers...
You really don't get to see my pretty paper underneath... but it is BUTTERFLY paper... what else...
Greens and yellows and so very pretty... oh well.. I will use it again...

Now for the surprise...

DO NOT FEAR CHANGE...
Change happens all around us each and every day...
dont' fear it... go with the flow... and enjoy the day and change... life is full of them..

When you look into the box... low and behold a little textured butterfly... loose and ready to fly away... as she is now a BUTTERFLY and can FLY...

I love this...

I had, of course a lot of fun, laughs and enjoyment when making this... I so love it... and love to see peoples faces when they open it... to see the butterfly...

So I am entering this into that challenge... and most likely you will see something else in here too... but for now, this is my entry.

I love this challenge... as the words we speak are very powerful and we have to use them carefully...
LOVE LIFE and enjoy it all..
Except the changes before you...
and live them to the fullest...

Have a super wonderful day, evening and week...
And thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

The Card is a CIRCLE!!!

Shabby Tea Room challenge this week is to make a circle card..."Ring around the Rosie".    I have a hard time getting the look I love with just a circle.... so I incorporated it into a step card... how much fun did I have....  I can't begin to tell you how much fun I had...

I also am entering this into Simon Says Wednesday challenge... as the theme is Anything Goes for this challenge...

I started with a piece of paper that I adore... and haven't used... didn't have anything that was really calling to me... but this did... so I started to cut apart this precious piece of paper...

Why did I choose it for this challenge... well this challenge also says that the colors should be pink and green... and also a flower and also some BLING... well this paper has all that built right into it... the bling is on the hydrangea and the pink and green... oh I love pink and green together ... one of my favorite combos...  so this was just the perfect piece of paper...

After cutting it all apart, All I had to do was glue everything onto a step card... love it...  how much fun!!!!

Here is the finished card...

A close up of the flower... I used a burlap flower, then layered some book page flowers and some muslin flowers and they were all cut with Tim Holtz's Tattered floral die cut... my most used die cut in the pile...

You can also see that I used a Martha Stewart corner and border punch for the back panel... and I used a Provo embossing folder for the insert on that panel...

In this picture you can see the bling on the hydrangea  ....
Loving it...

Each little flowers is cut out of the 12 x 12 paper and put aside... until ready for gluing... also the little birds...  which I had to tuck into little places...  I used everything on that 12 x 12 paper... EVERYTHING was cut out...

The little butterflies I doubled up on, to give flight to them...  and little pink bows were also tucked around in different places..

Can you tell I had fun???
I did...  and I just love the way it came out too..
I have a dear friend that is having a shoulder transplant in the fall.. .and she loves frilly things like this ... so she is going to receive this card... this ROUND card... it is ROUND!!!

Here is the round cards... it lifts out of the step card.. and it is round...

I had to have a few things flowing off the circle... just for balance... and if you notice, not everything is glued down flat...  I love things that move on a card...

Inside the card is a message...  Celebrate Each DAY!!
How true is that... we need to do that each and every day to be thankful for whom we are in all ways...

Okay... so I got a little carried away... this is the back of the card... I made the pink paper with some distress inks by Tim Holtz and white cardstock... love making my own papers... so very much fun.. .but the bests reason being that I get to create what I want in papers for my projects...

When the card is removed, I wanted the base unit to still be pretty.. .so I added some birds and flowers there too...

A close up will show you how pretty even that area is... I just had to put a little bow there too...

Okay... so that is my ROUND card...  it is Round... and I love it... hope you have enjoyed it as much as I did making it...

Thank You so very much for stopping by today and I love all the comments that you leave... I appreciate each and every one of them... and read them all... and generally will answer you back...

Thanks again... and see you soon...

Tote bag

As I promised yesterday... here is what I put all the eggs in... Yes... I told you I made a few of them... I sent them to my Mom... and asked her to give them out to some of the workers and other ladies that live in the Assisted living center.  She will most likely not share them though... as she hoards everything I send to her... LOL.. so funny...  anyway... some way or other everyone will get some of them... she will pass out a few here and there....

The TOTE... isn't that a sweet bag...  I love it... Cheryl came up from Charlotte... and she showed us how to make this really cute tote...  Two pieces of 12 x 12 paper... and of course hers had ribbon woven into the bag... but I didn't have the patience to do that then.. so I punched a Martha Stewart piece of white paper and put that around the bag...  Love it... the bag is really a nice size...  perfect for a birthday present or anykind of fun gift... a little tissue paper and it would be WONDERFUL....

Sande brought the cutest little flowers...  and we all made those too...  I got so caught up in them... that I called my Mom and talked her thru making some...  she is about 85% blind and also 93... and is only allowed blunt scissors due to the lack of vision... but she got one made... amazingly too...  I still can't believe some of the things that she does...  just amazing.

I also made a little tag with one of the flowers on it too... this whole day was just perfect... we all had fun ... all made something really neat... and learned from each other... what could be more perfect...

Marie and April brought techniques... and I shared a few new die cuts... and we all had a blast...

Hope that you have some fun artsy friends that you can share time and ideas with... it is so much fun... love it all...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit...  see ya'll tomorrow...   have a really wonderful day today... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

P.S.    I forgot to mention... My mother loved the eggs... and is going to share a FEW... not all ... with some of the other ladies...  She loved her fun filled box I sent to her... and also  all the new boxes filled with mini 'classes' of things that she can make... which I always try to incorporate into her boxes... she is so alone and so in need of something to do with her hands... so I try to for full that as much as possible...  She loves it all... naturally...

Lambing ... continued

Well as the story continues from the other day......
Sande and I pulled up and got into the 4x4 Kubota and zipped out into the pasture to miss by seconds the baby dropping from it's mom... but that is okay... as we got to see the rest of the process... I have seen babies being born prior... so that was okay...  BUT I did want to treat this little baby as special, as it was the first the baby LAMB I have seen being born...
So this is how I created a special page for this little one... (March 3 I will share the entire book... it takes a while for me to get all the pictures up... so sorry... )

So I used a Sizzix embossing folder and created the front panel... and then used different Distress colors and mists on the paper to get a really lovely look...  The flowers are very layered... and then I trimmed this out with BLACK...
and of course made it a panel that opens...  and this is what you see...
I had to share this PRECIOUS picture of the baby... as it is just a few minutes old... the other baby that you see laying down is about 30 minutes old at this point...

The Mother is now anxious to get them moved and into a safer area... all the NEW MOMS are put together with their babies...
The top folder...  made from K&Co paper and a Martha Punch...  holds this tag..
I used the pine tree embossing folder and then a few different Distress inks to color the tag... then put the New MOMS with their precious ones under the trees... as there are pine tress all over the farm...
Here is the picture of about 4 minutes after this baby was dropped... (born)  the other Mom's in waiting are looking at all that is going on...

(I used another embossing folder on this side of the tag...  and colored it with more Distress inks... do you think I like them??? Wrong... I LOVE THESE inks... LOL... so easy to use and the colors fit my needs too...
Well... that is a special moment in my week... and I think it will be for quite some time... seeing babies being born of any kind is always a SPECIAL happening... New LIFE is wonderful... as is each and everyone of our lives... all very special in our own unique ways...

This section of this book is for Stamper Sunday and for Simon Says Stamp and Show...
Check out these blogs and see all the pretties that have been made for these same themes...
Thanks for stopping in... and now back to uploading more pics for you to see more of this book...

Love Me Tender

I have a problem with just doing one thing for each challenge... don't even try anymore to do just one... I am just so into making things... LOL.. just my way...

So this is for two challenges...
Simon Says Stamp and Show... and also for Grungy Monday...

Simon Says Stamp and Show... is to create a project using a song title... and Grungy Monday is to use crackle... so I used it on the heart...

Any of course this is also another Valentine tag for my collection... I love all of them... and it will be hard to give them away... but I am making them to do just that...

Happy Valentines DAY ... to YOU... a little early??? Oh well... it is never too early for LOVE from the heart...  give it freely to all... Have great day... play hardy and enjoy it all... thanks for stopping by... and hope you can play today...

Wedding Vows

In the year 1913 my Maternal grandparents got married... things were a little bit different back in the day...  than they certainly are today.  The records of such things were done entirely different then too... They got married where my Grandmother grew up... which was Orrs Island in Maine. Very quaint and quiet little place.

My mother who is now 92 was cleaning out some things and she knew that I would love this little wedding book of my Grandmothers... and it is really a very precious and pretty little book... about 5 x 7 inches and papers starting to crumble.  but I did take pictures of each and every page... and was able to preserve them.  I also come across a letter my sweet Nana had written to her brother and sister in law when on her honeymoon in NYC!!!  So I decided to make this card for my Mom, so she could have that again...On the front, I used a section of the book (violets) and enlarged it and popped up the violets for the front...  I made a little pocket for the letter to fit into...
This is the next two sections of this 4 page accordion book... I used My Minds Eye lost and found paper on this section... and added a little bird with wings onto another pocket... now this pocket holds a copy of the wedding certificate...

I made the little flags and flowers to decorate the paper...  and of course make it a little more like something I would LOVE...  The letters are from my Mothers old scrabble game... I colored them with Picket Fence stain and then used a black marker to color in the letters... worked great...
This is a copy of the wedding certificate... Down at the lower left corner were the signatures of my great grandmother and grandfather, whom I knew both of them very well... as we spent a lot of summers in Maine as I was growing up.  Also the minister signed it on the right... This is THE certificate...
A close up of the little flowers ... with Pearls in the center... These are flowers from Pretties by Bonnie   as I wanted to really put a little something more from me onto this...
A closeup of the letters and cute little bird... which was made from K&co paper...  I love this punch of Marthas too... so sweet and delicate.
The top bird and banner area...  I tore paper for the wings...
Now the last section of this book I really had a lot of fun with... layers and layers of paper that was punched with Martha's punches... and then this sweet picture which also came from the wedding book... which again I did enlarge and also popped a few of the flowers and the tiny little birds... LOL.. they are tiny too... about 1/4 of an inch... but I wanted that delicate look...
And I think I got it...

Well I hope to be back here soon.. but you never know... we are having all our family here for a week... so we will be very busy... also we are celebrating Heather Amy's birthday... wow... she is getting younger and younger... right sweetie???

Hope you have a fun time... and thanks again for visiting... see you all soon... at least with some new things...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
