A little RAIN and a snail???

Today is one of those lazy days to me... I have tons of stuff on going and things I am busy doing... but keep on coming back to work on a tile.... is that crazy or what???

Well I wanted to make this tangle MOVE... and I wanted not to see it either...  so I think I got it done... LOL..

Of course you can see it...
but is it really there???
I added the leaves to sort of cover it up... even colored the snails body and the leaves...  leaving the RAIN all in black...

It is entirely different than any other tile I have ever done!!!  I sort of like it... but what do you think???

Different HUH???

Oh well.. a look at the whole thing at a distance really makes a huge difference too..

Have a GREAT day... enjoy what you are doing and now I have to put my nose to the grind stone as they say and get some thing done... like clean up my work table that is such a MESS...

Right as Rain

Today is Tangle day on I am the Diva Challenge ....and the challenge is to use the tangle RAIN...

Of course we can use it with other tangles... so here is my tile for the challenge...

Right as Rain

This print is not as clear as normal, as I took a picture of it with my camera... and there were shadows... oooops... will go the scanning route next time...  I have a few more that I have done this week...

We were watching Avatar and this is what I tangled during it... I hope I got the feeling of freedom and plant growth across...  that movie is so beautiful in most parts...

In the matrix...

Flowers peeking out is always a favorite to draw...  so is Socc....

More flowers peeking out...  Love them...

So if you are inclined, please take a stroll over to I am the Diva and see a lot more amazing tangles...  they are all wonderful and if you are inclined...  JOIN IN...  tangling is really a wonderful ART...

Hope you have a wonderful day and week... tangle when you get a chance... and enjoy every second of each moment of your life...
Thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit on my blog... and I would love to have a comment too... if you feel like leaving one... thanks again...

It's a New Day

It's a NEW Day!  Love each and every day for all the BRIGHTNESS it brings to us...  Even though it is a dreary day...  over cast, rainy day... it is a GREAT day... we need the rain as we planted sweet potatoes yesterday for the new crop to start for this years divine dining on them... so the rain is very welcome...

It is a good time to Tangle...  so since I had some 'extra' time, I pulled out this weeks Zendala from the BRIGHT OWL and created this...

I would have loved to have done the one last week with nothing but circles... LOL... I LOVE CIRCLES... the sign for ETERNAL LIFE...  love it...  they are not the easiest thing to draw, but when you go into a zen state of mind... very easy... and they come out rather circular!!!

I also LOVE Purk...  I think it is one of my very favorite tangles at this time...  so this was an easy and fun zendala for me...

Thanks Erin for all the Challenges... they are all fun...  with circles or without...  I love doing them...

Hope you all have a great NEW DAY... and enjoy the day greatly...

Happy Spring, Happy Days

Happy Spring.... Happy Days... Happy Easter...  all good things... so no matter what day this is for you... Happy DAY!!!

Okay..  I had to tangle a little today to get rid of some really funny feelings... I actually didn't feel like doing ANYTHING at all... so very much unlike me... but that is the mood I was in...  I did make some Gluten free Bread... and I have to say it was really delicious...  we love it...  we gave up gluten about 2 years ago.. and I use to make bread almost everyday back then... and did for years... but when we gave up wheat and all the other gluten products... I also gave up making yeasted breads...  but today it all began again...  I love making bread...  even though this didn't rise like a gluten bread... it was easy and delicious.. .

I also tangled... and talked on the phone... but that was about it...
LOL.. .not much... but at least I did get this ZENDALA done for the Bright Owl's Challenge...

YEAH!!!!

Oh yes... one more mooka...  can you stop doing these ever???  They just seem to multiply when the pen is on the paper...  did you notice that with your pen????

These remind me of sunflower sprouts...  which I happen to love to nibble on... have you ever had them??? They are delicious...  Yeah SPRING!!!!

And then Linda released String #46... so I had to do that too..

LOL...

When you don't feel like doing too much... TANGLE... it is so much more relaxing... and then you feel like you have really done something... LOL...

Erin of the Bright Owl...  gave us this great mandala to create today...   I really didn't know what I was going to do when I started this mandala... but all of a sudden I was finished... so I guess the pen did this one...  on remote!!!!

I used some new pens... and not really sure I like them.. but I will use them...  that is why the different colors of black...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today... enjoy your day with family and friends...  and see you tomorrow sometime...

Flowers blooming

Flowers are blooming... at least on my blog they are..  The few fruit trees that were blooming, have sort of finished... we have had terrible winds the past few days...  and they sort of blew all the blooms off our fruit trees...  hopefully we will warm up a little today...

Well at least the flowers were blooming on my ZenDalas...
I finally decided on which tangles I wanted to use for each section and went to town tangling them into this great mandala that ERIN gave to us this week... If you have not been to this site... you better visit the NEW and Improved site of the BRIGHT OWL...  I love the new look Erin... very bright and alive...  Guess nursing school really agrees with you and hope you are going well with it all...

This is the first one that I got finished...  and I love it... it came together quite quickly... and it surprised me.  I just let the pen do the work... I sat back and relaxed!!!!

This one also came together quickly last night...  I had fun with this one...  just let the pen do the work again... so very easy...!!!!

Erin always gives us so many GREAT mandalas to fill with tanglings of our minds...
Thanks Erin...

Hope that you all have a great day... and that you are able to find some time to Tangle a little bit and relax...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit...

Planting time

It's spring time here in North Carolina... the plum trees are blooming and the soil is ready to be filled with all kinds of seeds and plants...
I am anxious to see all the plants in the garden green and ready for harvesting again... our crop of kale got eaten by the deer, so that was very upsetting to say the least...   but we have to keep on top of things all the time... and the baby chicks are growing and right now just taking care of 153 babies is a lot of extra time and work!!!

So with all these things in mind... how to I tangle anything other than POTS... pots filled with SUNFLOWERS... of course we don't grow our sunflowers in pots... but that is what I saw when I looked at this new Mandala that Erin posted on Bright Owl.    If you have never been over to this site... please take a few minutes and go see all the lovely work and play that everyone has created...  Thanks Erin for all the work you put into this for us all...  Nursing school has to keep you busy.. but this added into your hectic schedule is another thing again... thanks for the effort... and take a few hours of extra GOOD sleep WHENEVER you can get it...  I think we all do...  and besides we can all wait for the posting...

Well... no more ado.. here is my Zendala... as plain as can be..

I love seeing the sunflowers in the summer gardens... ours usually grow to be about 12- 15 feet tall... so when there is a gentle breeze they all move together in a swaying motion... LOVE IT... they are such a HAPPY FLOWER...

So sorry I missed the challenge last week.. time just got away from me...  with all the classes I am now teaching, time evades me at times... but I love it all... so that is the best part..  I will try and get last weeks done sometime...  no promises though... it is a fun one for sure.

Hope ya'll have a GREAT week...  and that the spring weather is coming to your neighborhood soon.. . enjoy creating something fun... and love it while you are creating it...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit.. and hope to see you again soon...

All about HEARTS

I have always loved Hearts...  I have used it as a logo but a couple of businesses, use it when I sign my name for the 'dot' over the i in Bonnie... and all kinds of things... so I have been drawing a lot of hearts my entire life... but this past week, I have felt the need to draw hearts in my tangles... so here are a few...

This week I have been doing a lot of different types of things... one is that I have a stack of books that have been begging to be read... and so finally I started to read a newer one...  and had to do this tangle..It is all about Female energy... and the need for us to connect to our energy in a very positive way...  That is just simply put... but I felt the need to share this one with you.. maybe it will touch some of you and you will send love to yourselves.. Which is where all true love starts..  Enough said at this point ....  I had to do the Aura know in the center... and send out  vibes to the heart...  and the trinity between each one...  "Living in the Heart" is the name of the book I am reading and meditating with... very powerful.

So... when I went to the BRIGHT OWL's
site for this weeks challenge I could only see where I could put these hearts... that was my main goal... more love, more hearts...  YES!~!!!!    So here is that wonderful challenge of the ZENDALA this week...  (Thanks Erin for all the great Mandalas that you give us...  I love them all... )

I shaded some areas and left them tangle-less so that the hearts stood out... I just needed to do HEARTS... more hearts...

The beads in between are holding little seeds to grow more love.... and held in by a cross...  the cross holds them in place until they need to grow...

Pearls of wisdom are on either side of each of the hearts...

Just my thoughts and needs to do as I was doing the zendala this week...  which was a special one... to leave part out...  or Lose part of the mandala...  which I did...  but the part I left out... is where the hearts are... as the hearts fill all voids...  !!!!  Truth...

So that is my theories this week.... YIKES... back to reading...

My house has been filled with all kinds of great people all week-end...  My dear Neighbor and Friend Sande came over yesterday and we started on a project that I will share with you when I finish it... and then she came over today so we could work on it more...  I hope to have my finished sometimes soon.. .but have to wait to get some brads... can you believe it... I need something????  Anyway we had fun... today there have been tons of other people in and out of the house all day... and lots of good love went around and around...  good feelings from GOOD people...

A perfect way to start a week...

So with that in mind... I hope you have a GREAT week... and enjoy every minute of it... and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping in for a visit... and for all the lovely comments that you leave... thanks so very much...

See you tomorrow with the Diva's challenge...

Have a great time...  Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Tangling along the way

For those of you who visit my blog often Tangling has really become a very important part of my daily life... as you might have already guessed that..   I find it very relaxing and very rewarding activity and also very introspective for me... it is sort of like an "awaken dream state" and I find all kinds of things in these tangles that sort of 'speak' to me.

This one for some reason, which I have not totally figured out yet, really speaks to me... I love it... it is in a very fluid motion... and yet is very stable...  maybe that is where I am in life???

I do love what I am doing... and how we are living...  it is just perfect for me... although I can always find ways to improve everything around me...  but can't we all find that everyday of our lives??? LOL...

I had to try to create these ribbons that Maria had done on the Zentangle blog...  so I worked at these really hard... and then from there the whole tangling just took over... this is 8.5 X 11 in size... and so it is not a small tangling at all.. . I just let it all go on this one...
But I have to say that I did the same on this one...  I just went with it... and then the bunny came dancing along and peeked out from behind the PUF...
She is daring this early... but she is getting anxious to say the least..

Things just happened here... and with no rhyme or reason either...  just did.. .

I had two classes this week where I taught gals how to make a folded box... and also 12 different flowers... they were fun classes and I totally enjoyed meeting them... and also playing and sharing these different ways with them...  so it has been a fun, yet tiring week...  but in between I have had time to tangle and also even knit a little...  and also cook, make cookies and also entertain a little with some new friends...  all fun things... and all very enlightening...  in so many ways...

Then Saturday Morning... ERIN... from the BRIGHT OWL puts up a new Zendala .... I tried to not do it ... but the pen came out and I started to play with it for a while.. .but then I had to go teach my class... but it so relaxed me... I felt so good... this is a wonderful thing...  especially when you are tired and really want to go back to bed.. it was a perfect day to jump into bed... pull the covers up and read a good book... and listen to the rain...  but I tangled, and then went to play in the class...

So this morning... Sunday... I had to finish up where I left off...

And this is what happened there...

I haven't done any flowers in so very long that I had to draw some!!!!  So I just did a plain zendala on this one...  the flowers and the leaves...  leaving a lot of white... I was going to color this... but left it....

BUT you know me... nothing is simple...
So I had to do one that had some real meaning for me...

My very favorite number is 6.... and since this is a 6 Mandala... I went a little bit more into 6... and everything is in 6's...

We are going to be planting more when the soil dries up a little... we have had a lot of WONDERFUL rain...  and we are suppose to be getting some more...  of course this week we are also getting babies...  more on that later... with pictures and all..

So the very center of the dala are the seeds.. and then the sparkles are the representation of the rows ... even though our beds are contoured to the land and we don't do conventional planting, we do plant in rows...  our beds are 8 feet wide... and are 200 feet long...  and then there is a grassy space between each bed that is about 6-10 feet wide.  so this is what the sparkle tangles are...  the beds...With the little sprouts coming out of them...  The Tripoli is to represent the wheel of the planter, planting and dropping off the seeds (the little black pearls )  into the soil...  the flower is the beginning of the new life in the soil.

So this is a SPRING zendala... and it will be fruitful this year in all ways...  YES!!!

Spring is on the bough here... that is for sure... a spring bird woke me up this morning...  and he was singing for a mate... hope he found one.

Hope that you find all you are looking for today too...  have a super nice Sunday... enjoy playing or creating and love the time you can spend with others you LOVE..

Thanks for stopping by for a look see and a visit..  and thanks a million for all your wonderful comments...  someday I will be able to go around and visit your site too...  (keeping fingers crossed)

Monday, Monday

Well last night after I posted a few Zendalas, I went out into the kitchen and did a few more....  I really loved this one... it was so very flowing and I love that...  so here they are...

I wanted the center of this one to sink... and I got that ... but I wanted the next layer to look a little bit sunken too... and I didn't that to happen... but maybe next time I will...

Trying to get different things to happen with shading.

On this one... I did the shading first...!!!! I had never done that before... so I tried it.... I was tired, and I really didn't think I would tangle it at all... but I did a little bit...  What fun that was..

Thanks Erin at  The Bright Owl  for the GREAT  Mandala to play with... hope that you have a GREAT week... and that school is good this week...  .

Well... of course today is MONDAY... and that means that it is Diva Day... and today we are to use the NEW Tangle called QUANDRY!!!!  Wow...  fun and games galore!!!!

So I started with a 8.5 x 11 piece of paper... and drew a random string... and low and behold I tried to stay in the lines... but the pen just wouldn't stay in... so this is what happened...

As you can see...  I really had a lot of fun creating this tangle.... and of course when I do have fun... the snail always has to join in too...  he just loves a good time...

Well I can't stay on here... as we are waiting for a phone call... and being on dial up is just one of the things that creates a short BLOG.... LOL...

Have a great DAY... enjoy it all... stay warm no matter where you live in the world... and TANGLE...  Thanks for taking a look at my tangling... and stopping by for a visit..

Just before Bed!!!

Last night just before bed... like 10 minutes prior to going into bed to sleep I felt the NEED to tangle... so I grabbed a piece of cardstock... 8.5 x 11 and tangled this ....

It took me all of 10 minutes to tangle this entire piece... usually I spend a lot of time thinking things out... and planning and creating the look I want... I think I need to just go with the flow a little more... in so many things... not just in tangling.. . LOL... I had fun with each section... and walked into bed and fell sound asleep.... no tossing and turning tonight!!!!  Sound asleep...

This morning I got up and shaded this piece... and love the way it came out...  I have been running flat out for a week now.. and do need to take a few minutes and rest today... but I still have a lot of work to do for this week... and we are also planning all the garden things this week too... so it is a very very full time in our lives...

Hope that you are having a wonderful day and time... and able to enjoy the wintery weather...  Actually we just closed our windows for the first time this winter...  due to some problems that we had in the fall using an organic spray we have been unable to breathe correctly... and so this morning I felt the need to try and see if we can keep our windows closed!!!  Keeping fingers crossed that we can... I need to feel warm with out the wood stove doing over time...

Thanks for stopping by... and enjoy your day...

Well I have taken the day to play... I needed it... it has been a hectic week... and I have another one coming... so I took the day to tangle and RELAX!!!!  I had so very much fun...

So here are a few more tangles that I created...

Since the last one was so very strong in feeling... I had to do a soft feeling one... and so this one came out... I was still in the same mood... so it only took me a few minutes to tangle this... and then I had to shade it... that is what takes me so very much longer... but I do love to shade... so that is not a problem.....

Glenn and I were talking and having a fun time... so we were both enjoying the afternoon...  the kind that we have not had in a long time...  good times..

We were talking about farming... and all the things that we wanted to do.. and I started to think about the pear trees... hoping that the frost didn't get the fruit trees this year... that happens more often than not...  so I also have been trying to do new tangles too... and this basket weave is one that is so hard for me to do...  It just doesn't flow for me at all... so I worked on it... and it is about the same... I can do it... but don't find it enjoyable... and to me... TANGLING has to be enjoyable... or else not worth doing... LOL... RIGHT???

This happened... and I am not really sure I will do any of these again... but I tried it... and got the action...  just not really my cup of tea either...

Oh well... I love flowers... and that kind of thing the best...

THEN... I happened to remember that I hadn't done the Zendala this week... so I went to the BRIGHT OWL...  and found the mandala.. and started to work on that...

This is not larger than 3 inches in diameter... I really had to get the smallest pen I had... the point... .005...  a really tiny point... but I did have fun with this... and I loved using the pencil in different ways to get all the depths too...  I had a lot of fun with this ERIN!!!!  LOVE IT... thanks... and I know that you are up to your eye brows with stuff... so thanks for all the input... Life is full of surprises for us...  in so many ways...

Okay... so now I am ready for bed again... LOL.. and hopefully I have tangled enough today to get a good nights sleep... if not... I will be up doing another zendala!!!!

See you tomorrow or the next day with the Diva's challenge...
Have a good one...

A busy Week-end

What a fun, busy week-end...  Yesterday we had our Farmers Market and it was really a fun time... meeting new people, talking about paper crafts, ZenTangling, and farming is always a fun time... but this week-end seemed to be really special for some reason.

Maybe it was just the moods of the different people that we met... or maybe it was us... but it was FUN...  and looking forward to the next one...

But getting up at 4:30 really does my 'beauty sleep' in... and so after dinner, we were ready for a good nights sleep!!!  But I wanted to tangle a little bit, so I did...

To 'warm up' I did String 36... and then worked on Erin's newest Zendala challenge

I loved using this tangle called Voga... so much fun... and I love the results of it...  Thanks Carol for the tangle...

I also love the heart chain... can't remember the name of it... but I had fun with that one too... and then the one that Helen Williams did as a background...  so much fun... thanks to all the wonderful gals that can create these great NEW TANGLES... love them all..  keep them coming.

All I could see in the little oval areas were hearts.. I guess because Valentines Day is this week...  Happy Valentines Day...
To one and all...

And I was very tired... so that was about all I could get out last night...  I was ready for a good nights sleep...

For more info on the Zendalas... go to ERIN's site... and also click on all the names to go to their blogs and see what they have created too...  I sure do wish that I could... but someday maybe I will be able too...  Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and see ya'll soon...

Hope you finish your week-end out with more fun, love and making and doing something FUN and lovely...

A little Spice in my life

Today is Kombucha bottling day... and wow... we made this new one that is from Sweet Potatoes and Ginger... WOW... a LITTLE Spice???  YIKES... makes my mouth feel like it is on a good fire...  Love it... wow... Good Recipe for this drink... If you have never had Kombucha, it is a powerful healthy probiotic drink..very good for restoring and staying healthy...  it is generally made from tea, fruit and fermented to the right time... which was today... so delicious...  Everything from the farm ... right here!!!!  So good in so many ways..

Well today on the ART front... Erin has given us a challenge to make our Zendala today with a few tangles... and I lost...  I used more than I should have... I just got so carried away with the design that I couldn't help myself... so sorry ERIN... but it was speaking to me in many different ways and I just went with the mood...

So... here it is...

I used three different colored pens.. one is a copic Sepia, one a sepia from Micron, and then a black one...  I got a little carried away... but it was from the Sweet potato Ginger Kombucha...  believe me it was...

I did have fun with this... and also had fun the other day in the kitchen making a mock Mint Girl Scout cookie...  gluten FREE.... not kidding... and it tastes wonderful too...  Three people could not believe that it was gluten free...  we had company for dinner and their mouths were hanging down in sheer delight and also because she is totally on  a gluten free diet...  so she wanted the recipe...  I told her we would have to make them together, as I hadn't written it down yet!!!  Truth....  but truth be known...  I know that when we make them... we will have fun.. and the recipe might not get written down then either... LOL.. .

Well hope that you have a GREAT Day... and enjoy what ever it is you are doing... and thanks so very much for stopping by for a visit... wish I could give you some Kombucha to try... I know that you would love it... very good..

Hope you are on my main site and are able to see the surprise that was under the Mad Hatters Hat!!!

ZenDala Day!!!

Yesterday being Saturday it was Zendala Day... but I just had too many other things that had to be done... and then some friends stopped by to visit... and the night got away from me... so here it is Sunday... and I thought I would have all day to play around with this GREAT Zendala that Erin Created for us to play with...and again we are having company over this afternoon... soooooo  I quickly had to create a few zendalas that I liked.....

You know that when you don't live in the moment and you try to do too many things all at once nothing happens the way it is suppose to...  so I really didn't like any of these... but I will try later on to get one done that I LOVE...

If I had taken my time, I most likely would not have done the three... so I had fun doing them... and my hubby got to sleep a little bit longer...

There are sections from each one that I really like... and other parts that I am not that fond of... but hey... I do enjoy this... so that is what is really important anyway... right???

Sometimes I make a sample one and try different things in each space... but I didnt' take the time to do that even... so maybe if I have time this week I will do that...

You know that I should have done one with flowers... I am starving to do some pretties...

Love my flowers... that is for sure...  it is cold and over cast today and I want to see the SUN....  and I want to be nice and warm...  I know that soon we will all be complaining about the heat... so ENJOY THE MOMENT!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT DAY...

Alluring lines

I was very tired last night... but pulled together a little bit of creativity and created this zendala...  It is all lines... okay... a few circles too...

I did have fun doing this...  but when I finished I walked into our bedroom and went fast asleep...  Very ZEN like drawing to say the least...  at least for me it was...

Hope you have a great day... it is a glorious day here... feels a little like spring...  time for planting...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... enjoy your day...

More PHICOPS!!!!

Okay... I personally feel that the only way to learn something really so that it is part of your palette or thinking... is to do it over and over...  so I have done a few more phicops....

So I did this one... with a piece of ribbon running thru the center...

and a piece of horse tail at the top...
I was going to add more.. but fell asleep at the table... and never went back to finish it...

So it is really not finished at all...
but here it is... LOL

This is a new Tangle done by B-rad the hubby of Laura at I am the Diva...  and it is really quite interesting to do... each one takes on a personality of its own...

And so when I got home on Saturday.. after a FUN FILLED day at the Farmers Market...which was a great day!!!!  WE met tons of new people... and I think I have quite a few new gals all excited about making Never Ending cards, Boxes with flowers... and all kinds of things... so it was a lot of fun... we also sold Sweet Potatoes and Garlic... so it was a great day...

But then last night I started to do this new Zendala that Erin of The Bright Owl gave us to play with...  I really didn't have too much left to really create to my fullest... but did play for a while...

All in all this week was  fun filled week... a blur in many ways... but fun.   And now we start a new week... with a lot of fun things happening...  If you haven't taken a look at my full blog.. I hope you will take a look and see my Alice in Wonderland calendar... I really had a lot of fun creating the different months.. and added a lot of tangling to some of the months...

Have a great week... and see you tomorrow with some more fun tangling pages...  thanks for stopping by for a visit... and again many thanks for all the lovely comments that you all leave for me... I totally love them... and appreciate it greatly...

Lines a la 2013

Oh ERIN!!!
What a challenge...
I love flowing lines, flowers, circles and nothing too graphic...  so I had to do something that was very graphic...  this is about as graphic as I can do...  other wise I would start to pull my hair out...  and I do I had dear friend stop over for a visit and since I haven't seen her for over 4 months... I wanted to visit and spend some time with her... so we had a wonderful visit...  and so I didn't get to do the challenge as quickly as I normally do... so that was also a change...  for me at least...

The other change is that I never tell you what tangles I use... so on this one I have used the following ones..  Chard, Yabbut, Tuftid, Sparkle...  and I used a copic multi liner in sepia and also a pigma micron.05 in brown/sepia....  I generally always use black... and always love to shade!!!  But no shading on this one at all.. boo hoo...  my favorite part of tangling...

But Change is GREAT... and I am not saying that this will be a normal for me at all.. I missed doing my flowers and leaves... missed doing my circles and all the little ones in and around leaves... but that is okay for this one time ERIN!!!!  Back to my fav's and all the new ones I love to try that flow with the ebb and flow of life...  LOL>..

So here is my Zendala for this week..

I also love to use bright colors... but used a monotone color scheme... and then at the last minute I had to add the orange.... so I had to have those delicate little squares pop...  I used some color pencils around the edges... and then also to fill in a sections of Yabbut...

So what do you think???  Is it different enough???  I think it is...  and even though it is I still like it...  and I also had fun doing it...  not as much as I normally do... but hey... without flowers life is jsut a line!!!!

Well take a second look and I have a huge sunflower in the center!!!! Yeah... and I didn't even try!!!  Oh well...  flowers are ME...

Hope that this meets the challenge qualifications...  yikes...

Thanks Erin for all the love that you put into each challenge... and I am looking forward to another fun year of doing as many as I can... Glenn and I have also decided that we are going to be doing the Farmers Market this year.. so our Saturdays are going to be rather busy... so I will not be one of the first ones to finish this year...  unless things change again!!!!   It will be a fun experience for us... and I am also going to teach there ...  Boxes and Flowers are in the first classes in February...  the 21st and 23 of the month... from 1-5.... fun, fun, fun....  love it all..

Thanks for stopping by for a visit and also for all the lovely comments that you all leave for me... I would really love to have dsl or anything a little faster than dial up... but I think we are stuck with this slow method of being on line for the duration of time here... not a fun thing... just reality!!!

Happy New Year to all of you... and may it be the happiest ever...  with good health and lots of love all around you always...

Twilight

Our daughter and her family have been here for the week... and we have entirely enjoyed their visit with us... and they are leaving today for the trip back home...  boo hoo... we will miss them being here...  but have enjoyed every single minute with them...

So last night in the TWILIGHT hours...  I took some ME time and created this Zendala from the Bright Owl Challenge...I just had fun filling in all the little spaces...

During this visit with our family, I taught my grandson (8 years old) and daughter how to tangle...  they have fallen in love with it...

So I hope that Heather Amy will participate in a few of these challenges... she is a natural...  took to water like a fish does...

So did Riley...  so much fun with the three of us tangling...

Anyway...Heather Amy asked if I ever did animals? with tangling... I have done a few... but nothing much... and she wanted a few owls... so I started to fool around with creating some critters...

So Erin... this is for YOU...
I think I must have done about 15 owls... and they are so cute... I had a blast doing them...

Heather Amy and I framed a few and distressed the frames... and she is going to make an area in her sun room for them...

So much fun to be had, with simple things...

Hope you all have a SUPER wonderful New Years... and please if you are going any where... drive safely...

Happy New Year!!!  To one and All...  may it be the best ever year...

Under the Tree

With Christmas only a few days away... all I could think about was when the children were wee little ones we would put all the presents that we had bought for others under the tree... also they knew that we had bought some for them too... so much excitement over all the pretty boxes, and what was in each one...

So when I saw the Mandala this week that ERIN had posted... all I could think about was the excitement of Christmas...  So please take a look over at the Bright Owl at all the other ZENDALAs there too...  I am sure that there will be some really magnificent ones...  I would love to see them all..  maybe someday I will have dsl... and will be able to zip around to each blog to see all the pretties myself...

So here is mine... in all the excitement of Christmas...

I hope that you have a wonderful, magical, exciting day... and enjoy it all...

WE will have our daughter and her family up sometime this week... and we are looking forward to all the excitement at that time...  and hopefully we will have the house put back together a little more...  we have been working on it all day for the past few weeks now... and we might have this top floor of our house back together by then... keeping fingers crossed...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit and have a very very Merry day...

A wild Zendala...

Today being Saturday I do the Zendala Challenge over at the BRIGHT OWL... Congrats, ERIN  on getting the teeth 'cleaned' up...  they look so very pretty too...  what a good feeling that must be to have the braces off...  Yikes...

Well  the mandala is really different today... and I have to say that I had fun doing it... but then I think I say that every Saturday... but truth is truth...  and so here it is...

As you can see I had fun... I tangled all over the place... creating little things here and there...  no rhyme, nor reason... just played all over the space...

Wanted to do something with the holiday in mind... but it just didn't come out... so that is it...

Fun on a square piece of paper that has a really nice zendala on it... Thanks Erin... I love it...

Thanks for stopping by... and let me say thanks to all that stop by and leave comments... I really do appreciate it... 100% of them... thanks so very much.. . wish I could do the same for you... I am sure that they are wonderful...

Have a great day... what is left of it... and enjoy it all...

Snowflake Zendala

The Bright Owl (Erin) has given us a challenge that is so very much fun... you have to check it out and try it... wow... puts a whole different slant to paper snowflakes that you made when you were a kid...  LOL.. so much fun... T hanks so very much Erin for the tutorial on this too... wow... love it...

So... here is my snowflake...

I folded paper and made a snowflake like I did when I was little girl...  oh okay... I did it in high school too...  LOL...

And then I traced it and added some lines...  maybe a few too many... but I love it...

I love this whole process...

All I could see was a poinsettia...  me and my flowers... but I so love them.. .

And I added some leaves too...  I love leaves too.. . LOL...  so I have my poinsettia in the center and some cyclamen on the outer edges...  I love them too...

So there is my very own zendala...  Love it...

I will be making more... and please feel free to copy the one above and use it too...  have fun..

And please enjoy the wonderful day we have at this time of year..
