I wanted to do a few different techniques on this tag… and
also a few challenges too… LOL… I love doing many things all at once…
So I started out with some white card stock… and one of my
new stamps from Impression Obsession… I love the 6x6 background stamps that
they have now… so I chose to use the Pine boughs… as that is good for HelsSheridan’s challenge of using pine boughs stamp… or pine boughs ink… which I
also used…
So I am back at the white card stock… and I used clear
embossing with this new stamp… and then colored around it with the new Distress
Ink of Pine boughs in Tim’s newest winter collection of inks… love that color…
very crisp like the air is now… Fall is
over in many ways… and winter is here…
My next piece of card stock… I used the pine bough ink on my
stamp… and then quickly stamped… and then embossed with pine distress embossing
powder… so it has a nice texture and also a layered look of color…
I then merged the two prints matching them up perfectly (not
that it really matters … as the print on the background is just that… a great
background for you to play with…
I then dyed some seam binding with the pine bough ink pad…
and added some gold (twinkling H20’s)
and a few other greens to the ribbon for color layers… love that too… you know I do…
I used this small piece to go between the two prints… just as a divider but also just to divide the
tag up…
I then used a tag from Spellbinders and made the white
background for this lovely poinsettia flower that I made from another
Spellbinder die set… using Liquid pearls in the center of the poinsettia…
I made the leaves by using my favorite leaf stamp that I
made myself… and again layered them so that they are under the tag and also
under the flower… gives a more layered look to this area…
Okay.. then I added a snowflake …. Of course I had to add a
snowflake… winter is coming… snow will
start to fly all over the place… a few
little pieces of 7 Gypsies paper that was on my work table were added… and then
this sweet little one with the look of winter all over her was added…
She is for the Simon Says stamp and Show challenge… which the theme this week is WOMEN…
So there you have it… a winter tag… with all kinds of winter stuff on it… I would much prefer to be going into fall or
spring… but as long as I can still make a flower I am okay with the season at
hand… as there is a season for
everything in life…
Hope you have a wonderful day… maybe join in on some of
these fun challenges… and play a little while…
enjoy yourself no matter what you do… and remember life is what you make
it…
Love, Light and Peace....Bonnie
