Pussy Willow Paper by K and Company

Have you ever gotten some paper that really sings to your heart??? Well this particular paper really did just that...

My neighbor Sande and I use to have stashes of paper that was SPECIAL... and we never used it... but then we realized that these special papers had to be used at some time.... right??!!??

Well I have tried to move on, and have with some success.. when I get a new pad of paper... especially a really nice one, like from K and Company.. there is this special voice... saying.... don't use that... save it for something really special...

The voice was screaming at me again... but this time it was saying USE it... USE IT NOW!!!! So I did...

I just love this paper... and even though there are a few sheets, I have used almost all of it... I hope you are sitting down Sande... I have really done it... used the special sheets for two cards!!!! And I love them both...

On the back side of the paper, there is this 'bouquet' of willow branches... and so I cut it out... I not that fond of it on the card with the Magnolia girl.. but I do like it... and I love the little bird punch ... so that is good.. I didn't have the right kind of stamp with a simple little bird, so I drew my own and painted it with my twinkling H20's... cut it out and it is super cute sitting there talking to her... don't you think???

Anyway... I have broken the curse of the SPECIAL PAPER syndrome... at least I hope so...

This card I made for my Mom... she spent so many summers of her youth in Maine... and since she lived in Florida full time... it was a special time for her... she loved Maine and the ocean.. and being with all her maternal family was special too.. so this is to welcome Spring into her life...

I know that she is anxious for spring to arrive, as she feels very cooped up in the assisted living place... and she wants out... she has lined up a few friends that are going to take her shopping as soon as the snow melts... she is a shop a holic... a professional to say the least...

So this is for her.. the little birds on the bottom... they are an Inkadinkadoo stamp.. and of course I had to use my spellbinders on both of these cards...

I made the yellow flowers by painting them, glazing them, and then adding details, like beads to the centers... the leaves are made with a punch and then scored to give definition so that they look real...

Thanks for taking a look see... and for visiting my blog...
Hope that you have a great day... can allow yourself to become creatively induced into creating something... and come back again for another visit... I love having you visit.

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie..

Sweet n Sassy

The other day, I can't honestly remember how I came to find this, but I did... and what fun... On Thursday I entered this challenge on line for creating a card with buttons on it.. .GREAT.. that was not really a challenge.. and the nicest thing was that they gave me a Free Lamb to use to make the card... so that is way down at the bottom...

Anyway, if you did make a card for the challenge, Korin would send you two other FREE digi 'stamps' of which I had never used any of this type of thing and really enjoyed using these...

I could print them out to any size I wanted and make as many as I desired... and so I did.. I will talk about the one on the left... which I call Tulips with Glitter paper... wow... this is so unlike me... the colors, the glitter paper, the huge dotted paper... everything about it is NOT me... but that challenge this morning ... I think it did something to my brain.. you will see what I am talking about if you read down a couple of entries... Anyway... this is some of the new papers I received from K and Company... I love their papers and got quite a few pads.. and a couple of reams of certain ones that I really love.. .this lime is one of the reams.. yikes .. I love it...

Anyway... this tulip digi stamp... I printed it out 4 times, was able to pop it so it is a 3D... and then made the butterfly really stand out.. A little of Martha's black lace... and a black satin bow... and it was done... how about that turquiose Glitter paper... isn't that something.. it is the main theme of this one K and Company paper... love it..

Here is that lime paper again... just wonderfully exciting to me.. love it.. and I also got a Valentines pad... really some very nice papers in there... and they don't have to be used for Valentines only... with the exception of the one that I used on the left side of the card... it says Happy valetines day.. so between this and few other cards I made... they are almost all gone.. didn't take long...

I used a couple of the other prints... built them up and put a red narrow ribbon around it adn a little lace and a spellbinder heart...

The DAISIES are from Sweet n Sassy.. .Take a look at the stamps over there... they are really quite nice and there are quite a few I desire.. that is for sure..

Okay I really love this little lambie pie one..
Can't stop the underlining... sorry about that...
don't know how these things happen... ??? I just try and pretend that it is not happening..

This little lambie pie is really a cute one... and I cut her out, and added the little gray swiggles to represent the locks of wool.. and then cut her out... For the back ground, I scored some white paper, and then with another sheet I created a lace border with Martha's double heart punch.. I layered the two of them... added some ribbon and the lamb.. then some flowers that I painted with my Twinkling H20's and added some stones to the center... a few leaves that I also drew and painted... and of course the three little buttons... that was the challenge that I had to do so I could get the other two digi stamps FREEEEEEE ... how wonderful that was...

Thanks Korin.. for them... and as promised here are the cards.. I love them.. and will use t hem often.. expecially the daisies... MY favorite flower...

Thanks for visiting my blog... and come back again soon...

Magnolia little ones

The other day, I had the chance to use a few of these adorable little girl stamps... and I power stamped a few, with a not really inked black pad... but did get enough of each done, that I can add the rest... they are so adorable.. I love them all..

Anyway... as you can see, I had to do easel cards with these two.. one in lavender and one in pinks.. oh I love them.. they are so very feminine and frilly... love that look... A friend Sallie, calls it Confection... and another calls it sheer delight... but I just love that white lace, and flowers, and all that dotted swiss.. .

Did you wear dotted swiss when you were a little girl.. I think my very favorite dress I wore was dotted swiss and also a beautiful apricot dress that my mother gave our daughter was also dotted swiss... and the first time she wore it, she went out side and picked me some dandilions, and got the juice from the stems on the dress... and they left little black marks all over the soft apricot dotted swiss... but I made her wear it as it was a wonderful dress.. with smocking all on the top... and delicate laces on the bottom...these cards remind of those dresses... They were called Polly Flinders... and they were so very pretty.. she had a closet full of them... wow..

So here are my cards that have been inspired by these types of memories and feelings for materials and ribbons...

This one with all the pinks... oh I love it... the papers on both of these cards are K and Company... new ones... that I got on Friday... and they are really fun.. I got a whole ream of the Lime green one.. so you will be seeing a lot of that one...

I made the little flowers for this pink card... and then the fence is some of that fun foam on a roll fencing... not really that nice looking at all.. in fact rather tacky.. but if you don't feel it, and just see it, it is rather nice... don't you think???

I added the bottom section with the spellbinder lattice border... and added a Martha Stewart heart.. .is that okay?? Is that allowed... can one mix Martha with anything??? I added some Dusty miller sage green leaves and also some ivy leaves to break the harshness of the lattice and flowers... I put pearls in the centers of the flowers...

I also used again Martha's eyelet lace border and then on the top of that a eyelet pendant with a dotted swiss oval... to make a background for this cutie..

A real love of mine again..

Hope you enjoyed these...
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog... or as one gal calls it... her glob...

Erte's Gallery

Today on SCS we were given the challenge to go to Erte's gallery on line and view it... and then become inspired... oh wow... I had a difficult time trying to limit my inspiration to just these four cards and the mask... I could have spent a week doing all kinds of cards from this site... hie pieces were FANTASTIC and so very elegantly done.. and one piece was nicer than the next... I really had a very difficult time choosing... but I finally narrowed it down to 24 and then down to 8 and then to four... it was a huge struggle for me... When I saw each piece that I choose, I had a particular stamp in mind to use... and even though some of these stamps I have never used... (butterfly) I knew I had them... and I knew what I was going to do... prior to choosing them... it was truly a no brainer in all ways...

This one on the left.. Red Tulip... I had just received the K and Company paper order... and had drolled over so many of the sheets... wondering how and when I would be using them.. this one with the Red Poppies... it is really magnificent... and with this Black and white print... Oh I love it.. You can't see the bow on this card... but it is really pretty... and make the card what it is... my favorite.. .well maybe not the #1... but tied...

In Erte's picture that inspired me... his girl was in all white... and had red lipstick... and was on a red floral background, with an all black hand hold an all black rose... I chose the paper and the bow to represent that.... I love this.. It was a lot of fun to make and to have..

Now this one... is tied for the #1 place... I love the drama of this site.. it was very dramatic for me... I don't usually do this type of card at all.. so it is out of the box for me, but the creativity is not.. I love this type of thing...

Again the Black paper with the white large dots... a new paper from K and Company... and I made it smaller than the 5x7 ... and mounted it onto vanilla bazzill paper... for that slightly different texture...

I put the ribbon off the shoulder ... to show his feeling for costume, women, and sexiness of his work... Then of course I knew which stamp I was going to be using.. and she says it all... elegance... and the Jack in the pulpit is where she got her name... Jack in the Pulpit.. I colored the Jack in the pulpit with three shades of purple and two pinks... with Twinkling H20's...

The drama... the three large black pearls on the top... and the purple frame around the stamped area...
This is how I started my morning off though.. .with this mask...I felt that I needed to have one to work on this project... I had to literally take my mask off... and create the cards I did... the purple and white feathers... removed.. the dark cloud of not knowing if I could pull this one off.. .oh sure I can... what is there to making a few cards... the gems of belief... the old rhinestone necklace... drapped around the front... all in masquerade of the fact that I can do what ever I desire...

And with that the day proceeded... with gusto.. and lots of fun..

Este had a necklace in the shape of an octagon... and it had an egyptian person in the cneter of it... and then a few other things hanging off... so this is my feeling of that necklace...

The Gems on the upper right are to represent the neclace part of that piece... and the colors are to me so very egyptian.. and of course the woman... yikes.. I love her..

I painted her with my twinkling H20's... and then added dimensional pearls and stickles to her, to accent her headdress... and arm bands...

Love her too... it is a toss up as to which is really my favorite.. can you understand that now... I love them all.. but in a few days... I will be ready to pass them on to thier new homes...

This piece I loved.. it was of a fan, and in the fan he had painted a woman... and she was of spirit... and away from the fan( Where I have the silver dots) he had tiny jet silver planes flying away from the fan.??? But I did mine a little bit different... I chose to use this wonderful butterfly from Inkadinkadoo... as it has fairies in it... look closely... can you see them... there are flowers, I painted them purple... andthere are mushrooms.. which are very difficult to see... but they are there... and then I made the lace on the top with vellum and a punch from Blue Hill.. (it makes squares, circles and ovals... so it ws perfect for this trim... ) then I added the silver dots.. .very plain and simple.. as was his..

I hope you enjoyed this visit with me to this gallery.. it was wonderfully exciting and I just might do another couple of cards today.. time allowing..

Thanks for stopping by... and have a wonderful day and evening...

Collaged FRAMED !!!!

On Friday the challenge was to make a FRAMED item... or to frame an item... so I had just finished this collaged project and it was framed... and so here it was just perfect for the challenge.. I started out with some pieces of acid free cardboard... and cut them into the sizes I needed for this windowed project... and then sort of put it together and then put the frame around it and finished covering with the paper you see.. .I had bought a ream of this paper and it looked different in the catalog... but I do love the antiquity type of look to it, and love the butterfly and flowers... so I picked out those parts and used them... at least where they could be seen... Then I started to add items that I had been collecting for this gift project.. Flowers, Brass shoe, leaf and I love you at the bottom of the window box...

Now the funniest part of the whole thing.. the cluny type lace... well I bought a bolt of it about 20 years ago.. for $3.00... most likely around 30 years on it... maybe more or less... but you get the point.. I tried to talk the woman down on it.. $3.oo was a lot of money to me to spend on lace that I most likely wouldn't ever use it all... LOL.. I still might not.. I have about 10-15 yard left.. .and it is still great... the color has 'rippened' and looks even better... What a deal on that... Huh?? ?

The whole project took me under 2 hours to do and it is really a lovely project to give as a gift for someone you really like... hope she likes it..

Thanks for visiting me... and checking out all the things I have made... I really appreciate it...
Have a wonderful time... and great week-end..

Collage cook book pages

Today' s Challenge on SCS is to do a collage... needless to say, I have done quite a few collages and thought that maybe I would share a couple of pages of my cook books with you..
The above page is done with some stamping, using Twinkling H2's on the stamps... and also with some tea bags that I also designed, I also took the stamp, and cut the letters out... to spell PEARS... so much fun... then gluing it all down to create the completed picture...

This page was a spacer page between sections of the book... I took some pictures of myself and created a bird .... the bodies are made from papers that I painted with my twinkling H20's... the branch was created with sheet music that was wrapped around a twig... and the other branches had jeweled leaves and such on them...

Oh so much fun can be had with collage... this page I traced my hands and then stamped them with all kinds of fun stamps... pleated some paper... did some Lace' which is cutting and folding of paper... tore some paper... and then added the recipe..

Hope you enjoy these... I will share some more pages from time to time..
Have a wonderful full day of creating and enjoying yourself..

Happy Spring

Happy Spring

I am hoping for Spring to arrive... so I made a card to welcome it.. .of course we are suppose to get snow this week-end... so I know that spring will not be arriving anytime soon here.. but I can wish can't I???

This card was again made for a sketch challenge... and this was another fun sketch.. .I loved all the layers.. my type of card... more and more layers to use all different prints and all different things.. what fun.. now what to use...

Oh Yeah... I remember what I am going to use... and I cut these out... and layered these too.. some of the areas have 6 layers... I use fun foam that I have run thru the zyron and then glued down... that way I can more once the piece is put down... it will slide into the proper location... very nicely... I then created all the layers, by choosing the papers that I liked... I laid the 3D down next to the papers, to see which would be used, and discarded the other 12 pieces.. now I had the ones I loved.. .but felt that the 3D didn't show up the way I really wanted it to, so I mounted it on white and then on red.. .now it shows up.. .

Some paper lace using a deep cut punch my Martha, and then a piece of sheer chiffon ribbon over it... and of course a bow... the little duckies are on an oval spellbinder that has been chalked while still in the die template, and then run thru the cuddlebug dotted swiss folder... they look so cute... there are three layers to them..

Happy Spring was generated on the computer.. and I have a lot more to use too.. I had to print out all different ones, as I didn't know which font I would like on this card... oh well.. picky picky me...

Hope that you enjoyed this one.. I loved making it.. and even though it took me a long time to make for me... (over two hours...) I totally enjoyed every minute of it.. those cute little ducks stole my heart... I love them..

Have a wonderful evening and day... and will look forward to seeing you again in a few days...

My own flowers

These card were also done for a sketch challenge.. .meaning that the design of where to put everything was shown and we had to create the card.... as You can see, both of my cards have the same design ... thus a sketch.

The challenge is called Midnight Madness and there are some very talented gals that post there... I love the group of gals and all seem very nice and love new people to join the challenge.. and thus I do.. this week I did two cards... as I loved the sketch.. .

I also had all these flowers that I wanted to use .. so as you can see I did... I painted the flowers with twinkling H20's and then cut them out..

Using Martha's punches on both of the cards and also spellbiners.. .what else is new.. some punched butterflies, some hearts.. all the things that I love..

A few gem stones, some dotted swiss paper... you know by know what I love.. and I use them over and over.. .why do I buy more??? I love having all the new things too..

On this card, I used the In spades border, and it wasnt quite long enough, so I cut it in half and the heart hid the part that was missing.. waste not want not is often played to the hilt...

I love to use hearts year round... they never go out of style on my work.. I love them for everything.. even poke a horses head out of a heart... love them for all kinds of cards...

I used K and company Paper on these cards... I still have 6 pads of paper and the new order will be in this week.. .so I have to use some of the paper I have been hoarding since the fall... Oh well... You will see more and more of it... as I clean out my papers I will hopefully find more and more that I will use...

Hope you have enjoyed this... and thanks again for the visit...

Tuesday Play time

Tuesday's are always filled with so many fun challenges... first off there is the color challenge... and that one generally has a little bit of a challenge for me, as I don't have all the colors that they are using... I have to substitute ones that I do have... and mercy knows I have a lot of that going on.. .in fact it is a project that I have do this week.. .CLEAN up and organize papers... all of them.. Solids and printed... when I get that done, I might share my studio with you...

Anyway... this week the color combination was Burgundy, Deep gray and Yellow... I had the burgundy and the yellow, and finally found some gray that I had bought about 3 years ago.. and had never found a use for... I don't really care to use too much gray... but this really went together pretty nicely... I used the gray as the background and than used a bright colored piece of K and Company paper for the printed area... and topped that off with another piece of K and Company paper... then I could add my yellow flowers... that I made... I love making these and will be having some lessons on here hopefully soon... I finally got to use my butterfly punch again. .I love that punch... so very nice... it has everyother butterfly punched out... and then the ones that are punched out... they are raised.. what fun is that... that is sort of tucked under the ribbon... a sheer ribbon in bright yellow.. and a bow... A little butterfly with some burgundy pearls for a body... and a large one down by the base of that burgundy background... I tucked in a little Fleur di lis center under the flowers to give it a taste of a doily.. the white was needed there... just my feeling.. anyway... I had to move onto the next card challenge...

My Favorite challenge of the week.. just a bunch of gals fooking around... telling tales and funny stories.. this week Cindy... AKA Mother Mark... she creates a story... about a tea pot, and then we are to make cards to match that...

This week a cow wanted to be a stunt cow... and got caught half way over the moon.. funny story.. .and if you really want to know the whole story, I can direct you to there if you choose... anyway.. I didn't have any cow stamps.. and after looking at all my stamps, and all my clip art pictures... I thought this one would do the job for me.. so I created a story about a chicken that was also caught in the middle.. didn't know if he wanted to be a doctor to heal people ... or to be chicken soup to heal people.. .talk about being caught in the middle... LOL... anyway.. that was my story... and I stuck to it... this was my card... no sence to it, just sheer fun ...100% of it.. .Love this group of gals too.. .always a hoot...

Hope you have enjoyed these... and thanks for taking a look at my Blog... I really love having you visit... why not leave a comment for me... thanks ...

Another carft I love to do...

I do a lot of different types of hand crafted items… Our son gave me this wonderful fiber for a present… and it is so ME… wild as it is.. purples, pinks, oranges, yellows, lime greens, turquoises and all BRIGHT… I made a hat, and then fell in love with the texture etc of the fiber, that I bought some more of it… and made a pair of socks and a scarf to match…I love it… and have had so many compliments on it, that I wanted to share it with you..

I love to spin, and I use a drop spindle to do that… (that is what a lot of people use who don’t have a spinning wheel… very easy to take anywhere and use… ) I have spun llama, alpaca, wolf, dog, horse… (not nice to wear against the body… it itches…) human and a lot of others… I also like to felt, and in the process of making a shawl of many colors… for me… who else would wear all these wild colors… I love to knit and always have a pair of socks going if nothing else is being made.. I make all of Glenn’s socks and he loves the organic cotton ones the best… he is totally spoiled and I love doing it…

Hope you have enjoyed this diversion from the norm… but I am going to be sharing all kinds of things that I make.. hopefully you will enjoy it too..

Little 'Buckets' of love... what fun !!!!

Mondays are always an interesting day, as the gal who does the challenge is always got a lot of good ideas .. so it is a fun challenge… and today was no different… FUN PLUS… she gave us this cute little ‘bucket’ to make and I just couldn’t stop making them.. they were so very much fun, and the ideas kept on popping into my brain like there was no tomorrow… so here are a few I made…

Each one a little different and each one with a particular person in mind when I made it… I love making these, but don’t have any spare room to store all these fun things… so I make and give away… these will all be enjoyed and then who knows what will happen to them.. .but they will not be in my studio.. .

I really have enjoyed doing this blog the past couple of months… I hope that you have enjoyed it too.. .and will send some of your friends here too.. .the more the merrier…

Thanks again for stopping by for a visit…

Love, Light and Peace…Bonnie

This one also has a matching card... for a special gift.. to a special friend...

Some lace made with Martha's punches... and the flowers are a doodle of mine... I cut them out and layered them three times, and that gives the card a little bit of texture...

How much fun is this.. all different kinds of flowers some I hand painted and other I punched and created that way... two toned butterflies and grass.. a Martha punch to create the look of fence..

I had fencing... but thought this was more fun...

Oh how perfect is this BEAR BUNNY!!! He has about 5 layers of paper to create him... he is 3D and what a fun project he was... I have him mounted on paper that I painted with Twinkling H20's..

The hearts.. .they were created with spellbinders and then run thru the cuddlebug Dotted Swiss folder...

Have you seen the new Provo folders.... they are wild... they will be out soon..

Oh so cute... an old Easter card... cut out and put onto this one... plain and simple.. a little bow.. done..

The cutting out is what takes so long... the rest is fun and easy...

Hope you have enjoyed all of these...

Love, Light and Peace.. Bonnie.. .

P.S. If you have any questions... please don't hesitate to ask.. I will personally try and answer you to the best of my ability... Thanks..

Doddle card

I have created 1000's of doodles in my life time and have saved alot of them... some are in my books that you can purchase from my publisher... you can click on the book to the right and it will take you right to them.. you will see all my books that I have published...

I decided to start to use some of my doodles on cards... and love the way that they look... this is one of them.. .I colored the flower in with my twinkling H20's... and then used chalk around the edge of the circle spellbinder... I used a mount of the next size... and then a scalloped one in a soft printed paper.. Then I used a larger sheet of dark sage and found Marthas border and corner punch to be perfect for this... added a bow and it was done...

I love the pink paper, as it is bazzill.. find these colors rich and elegant in all cases... very nice paper..

Hope you enjoy this doodle and card.. I will be using more of them.. so please let me know how you like them on a card..

Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

Eyelet and Daisies

Oh I love a lot of different things in life.. .but I do love certain colors a little bit more than others.. and lime has a very positive place in my heart... it is bright and so very pretty... also I love EYELET.. so dainty and girly girl like... I think of ruffles and sweet little things when I see eyelet...
So that had to be added to this..

The main course.. what else... Daisies.. the loveliest of all flowers... Todays inspirational site had all these different purses and wallets etc.. and they were all very nice.. but I had fun picking a little from here and a little from there.. and this card represents that..

I did make a couple of different sizes of daisies... and they are both made from different size punches... and the centers are also done a little bit differently too.. I love making the punched flowers... they are fun. The butterfly is made with a punch.. .and one layer is white cardstock and the other one is vellum...
Hope you enjoy this one...
Spring might be coming soon... but today we have had a foot of snow... and it is white all over the place...

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look... and stay a while and enjoy all the other cards..
Love, Light and Peace..Bonnie

The tinest little bird house

Oh this one is so cute... it is really small too...
Someone asked where I got the patterns...

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/free-downloads.html

She has two of the three that I have shown you... the other one is from SCS library...

Anyway... this one was so cute and I colored it my Twinkling H20's... on the sides there are also a lot of Heart flowers... and on the back... HOME SWEET HOME...

I am going to send these bird houses to my mom, and hopefully she will hang them up in her picture window to watch spring fill in around them and she will see spring arrive real soon...

I used Martha's border and corner punches on this and also used a SU bird on a nest on the inside of this little house...

Hope you will try and make a few... they are really fun and so very cute as little tag on present even... love them...

Have a creative day and have fun...

Love, Light and Peace.. Bonnie

Horses

WOW... todays inspiration gave me a perfect way of making a card for Glenn for Valentines day... and I also did it as a casing on Yvonne Ana's gallery... she does some really nice cards... so I love this one and choose to do it for Glenn.. .

Starting at the back.. .I used a pebble cuddlebug and then used my ranger ink pads and rubbed the russet over it first and then the coffee secondly... it gives a nice 'leather' look to the paper... then I used a couple of squares and topped them off with a white Fleur Di lis die template from Spellbinders... then an octagon scalloped in black and one in white as a frame... but the one with the horse is off white.. and I used my twinkling H2o's to paint the horse with.. so he shines... I love it... and I know Glenn will too.. WE use to have a pair of Belgiums and when we left NJ we brought one with us... (the other one had died) he weighed only 2300 pounds... and took a whole 40 foot trailer to haul him and all his equipment... but he was a love.. he also died a few years ago... but he is still a love in our hearts...

Hope you enjoy this one.. and I hope that Glenn does too..
Thanks for visiting my blog.. and have a nice day...

Love, Light and Peace..Bonnie

Butterfly Parade ... I love butterflies.. can you tell

Yesterday I was trying to make a card to send to my Mom... and she loves Pinks and Greens... so this paper was really perfect for a card for her... don't you think???

Anyway, I made all these butterflies and it is was very her.. she loves dainty delicate things... and then I put the dotted swiss on the inside with a gingham bow... again very delicate and cutsie... I do have stickles on all the wings of the butterflies so the glisten in the light... hopefully she will be able to see that ... she has macular degeneration and can't see that well at this time in her 90 years... but she is still doing and a lot of it too.. .

I loved the card so much that when I read the challenge for today, I decided to make the same card with fabric... so here is that part of the story...

WT255 Challenge today was to use a piece of fabric to create a card… so I knew exactly what piece I wanted to use.. now to find it…

Well after searching for a while, there it was sitting on the work table in my sewing room, I had it pulled out for a project.. so I couldn’t cut into the area I wanted for this card… so I took the material and scanned it, and used it as a paper… but it is a fabric print, as you can see… it is a piece of batik fabric from Jamica… so I just couldn’t cut into the center where the turquoise was… it has greens, purples, and oranges as well as some yellows as you can see… just yummy plus to me… all my favorite colors…

I also needed a valentines card for this friend who is batty over butterflies… so it was perfect for that too..

So on the inside I made a plate of white paper with Martha’s double heart border… and then a large heart in the corners… wow… I know she is going to love this one…

Prior to gluing down the fabric/paper, I made paper lace from the spellbinder border fluer di lis template… and gathered it up to put around the curve… then again using another spellbinder template create the butterflies and then put them thru the cuddlebug dotted swiss folder… a little Stickles on the edges and it is completed…

Hope you like it… and thanks so much for taking a look see… I love using fabric, and do use it a lot when I don’t have the proper color paper… it is very nice to compliment a softer looking card… and the texture is GREAT…

Have a super creative day…and thanks for stopping by my blog..

Purple Delight for the perfect Valentine

.

I had more fun creating this than anything I have ever done.. and I certainly have done a lot of designs of all kinds for all kinds of things, paintings, scrapbook pages, wall murals, altered books and cards… but this one really stole my heart in all ways..

I have been working on this for a few days... cutting out, adding, taking away, painting new flowers, all that kind of thing... using punches, using spellbinders dies of all kinds just anything that I could to get the look that I wanted.. and FINALLY I got the look that I desired..

Above is the card in a closed state... that is how it will be given... and then when it is opened up...
you see the three panels of flowers, leaves, embossing, paper laces, and dotted swiss papers..

I did paint the flowers, and then hand cut them and then glazed them, and then popped them... each one has a few purple seed beads and a pearl in the center... and then I used Fred Mullets fern stamp and embossed it with gold and then painted with Twinkling H20's... and then hand cut the leaves all out... wow... that was a job ... but they are so very delicate and that is what I was after... so it was worth it... I didn't want a bos on each section, but it did need something, so the butterfly on the outside panels was perfect...

I hope you like it... I certainly loved making it... and it is a special Valentine...

Have a special day...

Girl in Purple

Oh this sketch is one that is very good for me… Thanks to whom ever created it… I think it is GREAT…. I love having something below the ribbon… so I knew just what stamp I was going to use today… and she is a love too…

Pink and light lavender were also perfect… and some of my newest pink flowers with little pink beads for the centers, a few pearls and it would be just my cup of tea…

So here she is… surrounded in all her paper lace.. and loving all the flowers too… in her hair, arms and below the ribbon…

Thanks for taking a look at her.. she loves for you to visit…

Also I really appreciate all the comments you leave… Thank You very much for each one.
