I know that you all have made a really special card for someone in your life... well the other day I really got involved in this braiding and I thought how pretty this would be in a tri fold card... so I started to create one... This is not a small card... in fact it is about 3/4 of an inch
thick!!!! and it is 8.5 tall by 5.5 wide... a huge card... but so filled with all kinds of fun loving things... how could it be small..????
Okay... I have to do this generally all white... with the color way on the inside!!!!
The cover of the card... on the right...
Has a Martha Stewart heart border... and then a Lace door layer (by Cuttlebug Embossing plus folder) and then a heart from he Loves me Embossing plus folder...
Down at the bottom a layer of Grand Lace by Spellbinder... and a little satin bow...
When you open the card...
You see this section next....
The inside on the left is another layer of Heart border by Martha's punches... and then a layer of He loves me... by Cuttlebug... and a little bird flying across the page... and again the Spellbinder grand lace at the bottome with a little stain bow...
Large pearls accent the lower corners...
On the other page, you will again see the heart... which has a white stain braided heart around it... Oh how I love this... I added some pearls to it also... you will see a close up of this later on....
I took two dragonfly stickers... (exactly the same) and put vinyl on one set of the wings.. and then made the dragonfly 'take off'... love that look... when you open the card, the wings pop up just like it is real and is going to take off...
A close up of the inside cover section...
This is all white... the color is from the inside color of the page... so please ignor the pink color of this...
Here is the Dragonfly side of the card...
You will see the heart section a little bit closer in the next picture..
Now you can see the pearls in the heart of satin ribbon.... Again this all white.... the saying that you can see is a Just Rite stamp...
Our love is the greatest gift we can give each other...
So very true in all ways... and the truest form of love is to give from the heart... not materially...
Okay... now for the inside of the card...
This card really took me by surprise... I dont' sit and plan things out... I go with the flow... truly I do... and when I finally got to this section... I loved the card... 100%... that doesnt' always happen...
Anyway... lets take it a little bit further...
The far right panels, is the same as the far left panel... minus the little bird...
The Center panel... Oh how I enjoyed doing this section... I used a piece of Parchment paper and ran it thru the Cuttlebug embossing plus folder of Elegant window... and then used a Ranger ink on it to give a very slight sage color to the parchment paper... In the center I used the center of Carly (another Cuttlebug embossing plus folder) and used the same sage ink on that to give it color... Along with the label, which is also a Cuttlebug Embossing plus folder... and used the word LOVE .... plain and simple to give really in depth love feeling to the entire card...
Okay... the flowers.... PRETTIES BY BONNIE They have two layers of flowers... and a pearl in the center of each flower.... I used markers to color the flowers... and also made each one cupped by using a stylist to 'break' the paper...
I loved the pink one so very much... and was so upset that it was finished, that I made another one... yup... another one...
This one is a very soft sage green background with yellow flowers... and the little birds are blue birds... the sweetest little birds that flit all around in the spring...
The color of the main card is WHITE... and the color of the paper just is really over bearing when I take the picture... sorry about that...
But I hope you can get a general idea of this card.... So now I have two of these pretties... and I stand them up and just adore them... dainty, frilly, feminine and loving...
Yikes... have fun making a card that is frilly.... filled with all kinds of love... each layer of these cards is also popped... so there is a lot of thickness to each one... they would have to be put into a box to mail... no two ways about it...
Hope that these influence you to create some cards for Valentines day.. .it isn't that far away...
Have a wonderful day... a loving day at that....
Our attitude towards life determines life's attitude towards us.... Remember that... it is a good thing to live by... Have fun... and enjoy... Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie
