Pretty in Pink

I had about 3 hours prior to having to stop playing in the studio... and decided to take a break and write some long over due letters and responses to lovely comments...  one of the comments was from this new gal Called Nicola... from Paper Profusion... what a delightful and charming person...  I went to her blog and my eyes were filled with delight over all the beautiful creations that she has created...  she also was doing some really nice challenges that I had never heard of... after checking into them.. .they are the kind of challenges that are my YUMMY kind of thing to create...  so I sat down and created this card to enter...

Most likely I will do a separate one for each next month... but for now, I combined them all... along with another challenge... that is so lovely too..

So here is the CARD I made for these challenges...

Since most of you don't know me... I show a lot of pictures, talk a lot and totally enjoy playing with paper...  and all the associated toys that go along with the paper arts...

So this card is just sheer fun for me... I love pinks and greens... and love embossing and using my stencils... totally in love with it all..

The main embossing folder is at least 5-6 years old... made by Cuttlebug... and it cuts and embosses at the same time... it also has a stencil attached to it... multi dimensional... I love it.. underneath it, I used my Newest Tim Holtz stencil, with embossing paste and then colored it... I know that Nicola also use this one... that is why I colored mine to show how beautiful this stencil is... so very pretty in the white and also colored...

I used Tim Holtz's Pine cone die to create these roses... and then used the same die and BABY WIPES to create the smaller flowers...  the real tiny flowers are created with a tiny die and then a stamen inserted into each one...  very time consuming, but I must use at least 100 of these little tiny flowers in a months time... love them...  try making some and use around your flowers... really softens the bouquet...  you will love them...

You can get a better view of the little tiny flower here... on the top...  The bows are made from seam binding ribbon and dyed with re-inkers... I happened to use Distress ink called Victorian Velvet... an all time favorite...When making the roses, I start the center out by using a scattered Straw ink and then my color.. which was .... you guessed it... Victorian Velvet... what else..

I love butterflies... and this one is flying...  three makes it totally flying...  I used a Spellbinder butterfly die for this...

A tiny tiny little tag... only about an inch long... and 1/2 inch tall... to write a huge message onto it...
HEARTS THAT GIVE ARE ALWAYS IN BLOOM...

How very true...

I hope you can see this little tiny flower here... but you can use any small die... and two layers... with a stamen in the center... you should glue the stamen into the flowers... just holds better on the card or project...

I so hope YOU enjoyed this card... and hope that you will come back to my blog to visit often...

These are the challenges that I created this card for... please visit them and see what other artists have created... comments are always welcomed...
