Sharing

Today was a funny day... it started out sort of okay... and ended up GREAT...  I finally got the studio back in order... that was a great load off my back... as for the past 6 weeks I have not really been able to pick it up ... just made messes...  which was okay.. but I really like a nice clean studio to play in...  so I am back to way it should be in there..

I also cleaned out a box of goodies that my sweet hubby brought up from the storage room in our basement... it has not been cleaned out since we moved his folks in here 13 years ago... so little by little we are going thru stuff... and today I found the best thing... a picture of his Grandmother and Grandfather (paternal side...) on their wedding day..

I have to tell you that she was 97 when she died in 1975...  so you can figure out that this picture was taken in approx 1896....  it is still in really GREAT shape... it is in a cardboard frame thing... and that is it... the color is about as you see it here...  117 year old picture... amazing...  I wonder what we have now that will be around in 117 years... LOL..

This is Nellie and Alton McLain...  and I think that Nellie was about 18 years old or so.. and I think it was in Scranton, Pennsylvania...  but not really sure...

I just love this picture...  I am so very glad I found it...  along with so many other wonderful family pictures of my husbands family...

So nice to clean out things and find things that are so loving and rewarding.   I love it...  the rest of the STUFF...  I have no need for any of it...  so we will be looking for new homes for all of that...

Hope you had a nice day... I am ready for bed... but have to make a few Never Ending cards... making some with a fall theme...  love it...

Thanks for stopping by... and have a nice week-end..

Back Again

I have not been feeling to well... all kinds of fun things... and so a I am finally back again...  YEAH for me!!!   So I went to the I am the Diva Challenge... and Laura I love it... but can't get to see the tangle on Flicker...  dial up is so very much fun??? NOT! ! !   Anyway... I have a few to share that are from the past couple of weeks I have missed...

No matter what... I always seem to totally enjoy my tangling... I have been teaching some Tea Bag Folding classes and also card classes... so I have taken other art into my heart again.. but tangling is a form of art that is really relaxing to me...

I can't remember which challenge this was for... but it was for one of them.. LOL..

This is one that I did using the newest tangle from ZENTANGLING...  named  WELL...

I love it...

I found it very challenging... keeping my brain focused on the lines, and then when all that was done... wow... what fun I had... I filled in the spaces with LOVE...  hearts galore...  and then added another love.... FLOWERS...  what fun I had with this one..

Again another tangle... can't remember what it was for... but did enjoy doing it...  all the spaces in a string I love to fill in...  so nice to have a small space...

But then again... a clean piece of 8.5 X 11 is nice too... I can deal with either way...

I have been doing a lot of cooking lately.. and have finally mastered making gluten free bread, english muffins, blueberry mufffins using the last of the blueberries from this season.. . speaking of which.. what a wild one it was...

Hopefully the next season will be tamer... and will allow the gardens to grow the way they are suppose to grow..

Thanks for stopping by for a look... and a visit... I have missed being able to blog and share with you... hopefully I will be able to continue now...  Have a super nice day... and create something with LOVE... lots of love..

Blue and White

I have been working on some pretty tiles .... and I finally got my Blue and White ones that I have been trying to create... I have over 100 of them... and they are all GREAT.... I love them...  soooooo
I decided to create some medallions... and here they are...

When I started to make these medallions, I just was going to make a few... LOL.. I never do anything in a FEW.... there is really no such thing in my life.... So here are a few that I made... to see the rest... you can purchase the CD of all the Blue and white tiles and there are also 100 black and white tiles too...  what a fun CD... you will also have a nice soft ware package to print all the tiles from 3/4 of an inch to 6 inches square...  some times people wonder why you need so small or such large ones...  well... they make great background papers...  and also you can make huge medallions...  for walls, etc...
This one is for you Barbara...  Barbara is in my Tea Bag Folding Class... and she loved my black and white so very much... BUT she is really in love with BLUE AND WHITE even more...  she wanted to create a card with a blue and white medallion with a yellow background...

Okay... I added a white background as well...
Here's one with a tan background...  showing you some different backgrounds as they are all fun colors to use with the Blue and White medallions...

Of course I had to use all different folds from different classes... this one is from Class 5...

Another one from class 5...
Love these blue and white tiles...
Thanks Barbara for begging for these...

Wait until you see them... you will be jumping up and down...

I got a little fancy too... adding a strip of butterflies flying across the card...  this fold is from class 4...  all the CD's for these classes are available on my blog...

Well I just wanted to share these with you... and I hope that you enjoy them... I am still healing from this attack of sciatica... going up and down stairs... and then all of a sudden another pop and no motion... so I am still having to take it easy...

Hope you are doing well.. enjoying your days... and having fun...
I have finally found a delicious gluten free recipe of pasta noodles and also one for egg rolls... WOW... they are super good...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit...

A fun day in the kitchen

Have you ever had one of those days where you started out to do one thing.. and 7 more things jumped onto you schedule???  Well that is what happened here today... I started out to make some nice rice pudding... and then made some seeds( as shown) We eat a lot of these seeds... in fact I try and always have some around... it makes a great snack and also they are perfect snacking food for us...  sunflower and Pumpkin seeds... with a little braggs amino acid on them for a nice salty taste... I do roast them in a little 100% real organic butter... rich and nice tasting...
I put the seeds in a piece of pottery that our daughter gave us for our anniversary this year... WE LOVE IT...  it is just perfect for our seeds on the table...

The colors in the piece are just beautifulllllllll ... this picture is a little washed out... but not quite as dark as the one above...  anyway... she really did a GREAT job on these both... she just started to learn how to throw... and is really doing a super creative job...  oh yeah... check out the muffins...  I made them this morning too... blueberries that Glenn picked from out Rabbit Eye bushes needed to be used up... so muffins were calling to be made... now you have to realize that I don't use wheat at all... we have not used wheat for over 3 years now... maybe longer... can't honestly remember... but I know that it has been as least 3 years now...

Here is the bowl again... with two smaller ones that her teacher made...  she bought them for us a few years ago... prior to starting to make her own...  I personally love hers better...

WE so enjoy the pottery no matter what... and it looks so very nice on our table... and we love the feel of it too..
Here is my very own cup... with a flower on it... how perfect is that...  I love it... I made a nice huge pot of dandelion root tea today... and am enjoying cleaning out my tract and cooking...  love it..
The tea bags had these really nice words on them... and they fit so perfectly with all that I was feeling...
Peace, Savor, enjoy, dream, be heard, comfort... I experienced these all in a matter of an hour....  so very perfect for a glorious day...

Now back to the muffins...  not using wheat... usually the muffins are flat looking... nothing ever sort of seems the same... but today I have conquered this and made really nice HIGH muffins... and they tasted GREAT... really
GREAT.....
Oh do you see the 6 muffins in the back... they are sitting on a pottery plate that Heather Amy
gave us a few years ago...  we use them every day of the week... unless we have company... then we have to use other plates...  but these are our very own personal plates... very special to us..

So I did get creamy rice pudding made, muffins... and also a lovely dinner is on the way to reaching the table...  sweet potato fries are baking in the oven now... and we will enjoy a great zucchini noodle (raw) main course... with roasted red peppers, and some pickled okra...  of course I will have to make something with the Chanterelles ....(wild mushrooms)  too... we love them... and Glenn just walked in with a nice basket full of them..

Hope that you have a GREAT day...
I am still healing this silly sciatic problem.. .but am feeling so very much better...  never had one last this long... not a good thing at all..

Have a fun time, create no matter in which direction you need to ... but enjoy it all...

One of my Favorite colors

I can remember a time when everything I had, did or wanted to have, had to be purple... but now I have stepped back a wee bit and do allow other colors into my life a little more... LOL... In fact I have to say that Purple is just one of my favorite colors now.....

So with that in mind here is a special card to share with you.

Generally speaking it doesn't take me too long to put a card together... but this one took over three weeks...   I just didn't seem to have the time to sit and finish it at any one time...

I cut a circle in the top half of the card front... and then built a medallion in the circle...  I used a spell binder butterfly circle as the center of the medallions.. you will see a little more what I am talking about when you see the other pictures...

I put an antique pansy and blue butterflies all on the front, along with a piece of dyed ribbon that runs from the front to the inside of the card.

So when you open the card you see this...
In the center front circle you will see that there is a white showing... and that is the butterfly circle...  that is what I glued the celtic knots onto.. .

there is the ribbon coming from the front too...

Okay... over on the other side is a little tiny faerie holding some violets, and another medallion... wow I really had fun putting all these medallions on this special card...

Here are some closeups...  I did put tiny little pearls all around the medallion...  not sure you can see them though...  it was hard to photograph this card... purple is a hard color that way...
Here are the two celtic knots...  Love this fold...

and of course the color is so very pretty...
I wanted to show you the height of the medallion on the front of the card... it is about 1 inch tall...
Another view of the medallion looking down on it...

It is really a 4 layered medallion... love it when they are so high...

Hope you have a nice day...  It is overcast and grey here to day... hope that the sun decides to come out and play for awhile...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and hope to see you again soon..

Friday... wow the week-end is upon us

Today is Friday... wow... the week-end is upon us...and it looks like it is going to be a stormy one too.... for the next four days... rain, rain and more rain... we are 20 inches above normal rain fall.... according to the paper this morning..Last year another year of drought...and not floods all around us...  weird weather.

This week has not been the most pleasant for me... I slept in front of a fan a few weeks ago, and it settled into the sciatic nerve... yikes.. very painful to say the least... I am hobbling around with a cane... not my normal method of transportation... but hey... you have to do what you need to do, to get around.  My studio is two steps lower than the rest of the house...  ( a sunken room..and very nice... ) but when you have a problem... not the easiest to get into and out of... but My sweet Hubby has been running down into the studio getting things to keep me busy...  what a sweetheart he is...

So I do have some of my tangling stuff up on this level, so that was good...

Here is another 4 in one tangle...

I really love dong these 4 square TIA...

I always draw the four squares using a tile as a template... and then start to play...

This week on the Diva's challenge she asked us to use Jane's tangle called Henna Drum... my type of tangle.. it moves, has flowers, and is pretty.  What more does anyone need... I have really enjoyed using it... and will most likely be an all time favorite...  love it... thanks Jane and Laura for bringing this to us..

Hope you all have a FANTASTIC week-end...

Monday Challenge on Tuesday week

Canada had a long three day week-end... and so we are doing the challenge for the DIVA on Tuesday...  which is fine with me..  The Challenge this week is to use Jane's tangle, called Henna Drum... sounds so wild to me... and it is a great tangle too.. .

So here is mine... wild as I can be today...

So I divided off a sheet a paper that was 8x11 and started to fill in the tiles... LOL.. what fun I can have with something like this..

Love the tangle... and find it so easy to adapt to anywhere I desire..  did a smaller one on a single line...  just having fun...

Hope you are having fun today...  and that you can create something you LOVE too..  Thanks for stopping by... and enjoy your day...

String 4 times 4

Last night I started to play and I drew four tiles on a piece of paper that was 8.5 x 11.... and then this is what happened...

The four tiles sort of came together and created one TIA...

I really had fun doing this one too... I think I like working with larger pieces of paper and creating a whole sheet of fun...  vs a small tile...  just my own personal feeling...

Hope you have a fun day... and create something fun too...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit...  off to get some things done..

It's Monday again...

Wow... it's Monday again... and since I have had my kids and all theirs here for a week... the house seems empty again... sort of feels good...  but I do miss them...

I have been taking out minutes of PEACE for myself over the past week and tangled a little bit...

Today's challenge with the DIVA, is to use string #4.... I have done this one many times... and they are never ever the same at all... so here is #4... reclaimed to be #4 and all alone...
8  X  11  inch paper
At nights when the house was quiet... I would try and tangle for a few minutes each and every night.. so here is my "snail power.. "  Love the color and the design.. hope you do also...

8  X  11  inch paper

Another one using the in and out...  love this tangle... so much fun...

3  x  3
I really love this one...  love the depth and the tangles I used... this was in response to last weeks challenge... where we had to use double pencils and create a string.. love this one too...

3  x  3
The last butterfly...  opps... it;s a single pod...  looks like you might not get too many butterflies...  but maybe you will.......
3  x 3
Just a couple of orbs... had to play simple...
3  x 3

Love, Light and Peace... the way I sign my name...

Peace on Earth to all
ALL the time...

3  x 3
I love this one... love all the detail...  I am still not wearing my cheater glasses... and I feel that my eyes have gotten a lot better...  what do you think...

I really had fun with this one..
I love butterflies... love pinks and purples, and so this is a favorite... I just had to share it with you... so very regal and pretty.... an elegant butterfly.

 A simple little one...
Nothing spectacular... but I did have fun creating this one... what do you think...

I do hope that you have a GREAT day... enjoying each and every moment of your time creating and having fun...

Happy Birthday to all

I think I had told you that I made some boxes to give away at a store this past week-end... when Sande and I went to play... with some other friends... well I gave a box to all my friends and then past them out to everyone else all day long...  I loved doing it... and quite a few people really enjoyed them greatly...

I am only showing you a few of the colors... as I used all of them... even pretty yellow ones...  tan and black too.... but here are the blues one... I love all of them...  each one has a different medallion, different backgrounds, all kinds of fun things.... my computer will not allow me to write next to the pictures at this point... but as you can see there are some orange ones,  Plum and pink here too...

I love making boxes... can you tell that yet???  That is a huge DUH!!!!   I think that the other night was the topper.. I dreamt of making a huge medallion almost 3 feet wide... and was looking for a nice box to put it on... LOL... how silly... but our daily life filters into our dream state... so what the heck...

hope you enjoy these.. and that you have a super nice day, and enjoy creating something special...

Love, Light and Peace....Bonnie

Blogging

So many people ask me how I get all that I get done, done!!!! Well it's not hard... you multi task.. and I do that very well.. all the time.. especially well I guess.... as I have my son and his family with us now for the week... and with 4 extra people it is not easy.

So here are my tangles... done at all different weird times...

This one I started off with .... wanted to do a vine climbing up a ribbon....  and then the vine was grounded... but the ribbon wasn't....

Since the Diva has us tying two pencils together... I tried using a hair clip... and it works so very good...  I didn't have any more control.. but did have fun...

This one I love it when it got to his stage and didn't want to do anything more...

At this point the four younger people we have staying here... including our son and daughter in law.. all started to come out for breakfast... but I decided that since they do this kind of thing every other day of their life... they would be totally capable to doing it today too... so I tangled... love it...

I think you can tell.. I was so very happy... they were all there... doing the breakfast thing... YEAH!!!!

I finished one and went right onto the next one... time.. what a wonderful thing...  now for something faster than dial up an I would almost totally satisfied.. and will when our daughter comes up on Friday...

This little bird, is a bird of peace...  I felt like this bird this morning as I sat in my chair having my morning tulsi tea... (that I have add my daughter in law grew it... brought up bouquets of it... and shared with great amounts of LOVE...   so very nice...

So I was thinking love, peace and feeling GREAT... and this little bird perched it's self on my tangle..

Then I started to make strings... with my two pencils and hair clip... and couldn't ' stop..

I used a pencil... and then shaded with a pencil so this tile is 100% pencil..

Another one done in pencil... and I added a stronger pencil at places t hat needed more shadow... love it..

Well thanks for stopiing by for a visit... and hope to see some of your work soon...
Love, Light adn peace.....Bonnie

Two Lines

The Challenge this week that the Diva has stated... is to tie two Pens/pencils together  to create the String...  I love doing this...  To me it is sheer fun...  so here is my Challenge tile for this week...

Wild lines... but so much fun filling in around them...  I also even filled in some of them... LOL... jsut got a little carried away...

It reminds me of after all the presents are open... and the mess on the floor is ribbon, paper and all kinds of wrappings...  what fun is that too..

Speaking of which...  We are having out kids all visit this week... and so we are going to celebrate all the 'boys' birthdays...  our son in law is in May... and our grandson in July and our son in September...  my hubby in October... so we are having a Birthday Party... right down to pin the tail on the donkey... of which I have to draw yet...  LOL.. what fun we are going to have...Happy Birthday to everyone out there.. no matter when your birthday is.. Happy Birthday...

This past week-end I gave out 44 boxes for everyones Birthday...  it is a time to celebrate no matter for what... Happy what ever day...

Hope you have a very enjoyable week...  and create lots and lots of pretty and fun things... create from the heart and enjoy it all..

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and I will see you soon...

Weekly Challenge #127: "DuoTangle v. VII: Cirquital/Opus"

This week is a wild week already...  I have been trying for a long long time to get an Etsy store open... and I have finally done it...I hope to get some items in there tomorrow or the next day to sell...    That is quite an accomplishment with this 'wonderful' dial up... LOL..  it took 12 tries to get the banking info into place.. and a few more times for each of the other things... but I finally did it... Now for the pictures... which should be fairly easy... as I can do it for my blog fairly easy... I have learned not to panic when I am in the middle of doing something and I am not connected...  as the line is undone by people moving faster around me...my fastest speed is 44kbps... that is slower than a snail moves... LOL... I guess that is why I draw so very many snails... right???

Anyway...  today the Diva has given us a Duo Tangle to do...  and so here is mine...
I have been on the computer all day and my mind is not clear yet... I will try again a little later maybe... but then again... maybe I will fall asleep!!!!

Today was the first day in many that we have seen the sun all day long... and I have to say   I am a little bit tired...  but totally did enjoy the sun being here again...  Glenn also got a pickup truck load of garlic pulled up... now to get it all tied up and dried... it is very muddy... and some of the garlic bulbs are the size of my fist...  HUGE...  During all this rain we did lose a lot of the beds to the heavy rains...  and the sweet potatoes really got damaged a lot...  so we are very upset over that... but we will hopefully have enough... we had such a giant crop last year... we are still eating them...

Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and I really have been trying to post a couple of times during the week... but things keep on coming up...   and not allowing me to do all that I want to do...

See you soon...and enjoy creating...
Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
