Be Inspired Cuddlebug Challenge

Oh Halloween is ALMOST here... and it is getting scary outside.... ohhhhhhh so scary... boo and you jump...

Well I wanted to give my grandson a spooky card... and so I created this one for him... and also combined it with the Challenge for a pop up card for Be Inspired on the Cuttlebug Challenge... Of course it has to be a Halloween card... and of course it has to be a little bit scary... or else it wouldn't have to be a pop up card!!!!

So with all these things... I set out to make Dear Riley of 6 years old a card...

The front of the card.... not really all that scary yet...
a spiderweb... by Cuttlebug of course... and some bats, leaves (cut out by Cuttlebug dies) and a pumpkin which also is cut out by Cuttlebug die...

Not really all that scary... but I don't like spiders... do you???  not that big ... and BATS.... ugh.. not my cup of tea...

Purple bats on top of it... they have to be good bats though to be purple.... LOL...

And then you open the card up....

WOW... I went wild... I had so much fun making all these little figures pop up.. that I almost wore the card out opening and closing it... LOL...

The background I of course used my Ranger inks to create... and then I stamped some typical fall brush... and of course a few crows hanging around...

Then I added some more purple bats...
The bats and all the characters are by Joylee... I got them all at the Dollar store... along with all the candy that is all over the ground...

This really does all fold down when the card is closed...

Here is a side view...

You can see the built up bottom, and also the fence sort of holds it all in place...(to the eye)  The shadows... all natural ... I photographed it so that it looked SPOOKYier than it was...

So much fun...

When he got the card he called to tell me it was really a scary card... and that he loved the spiders... and all the fun people... to be 6 years old again... wow... so much ahead to look forward to in life...

Hope that you have a popping fun Halloween...

Since I was sending this to my grandson, I had to send this to my daughter... when she was a little girl, she wanted to be a pumpkin... so I made a pumpkin outfit... the kind that you now see where the body is the pumpkin... well I stuffed the pumpkin with newspaper... it was so heavy... and she could hardly sit... oh well... live and learning on my part... Anyway... a card to remind her...

I used a pretty Embossing plus folder... He Loves me... and cut the heart out a little more with the oval Spellbinder die... accented with some little spellbinder pieces...

Oh yes the little house mouse all dressed up in a pumpkin...

I used my Cuttlebug leaves for accents... and of course a spider... some of the leaves I ran thru swiss dot... for some more texture...

Okay... open the card up...

And I used the frame from the Heritage group of embossing folders... love it... so many great new embossing folders from Cuttlebug... and I have to have them all..

A perfect place for this little one to balance on this Martha fence... Add a little pumpkin looking up at him... and it is a done deal...

I know that she remembers this time... and hope that the card is a positive reminder for her too... as I did always love making costumes for the kids... and would spend hours making them...

Hope you have a fun time getting ready for Halloween... spooky or not... just enjoy...

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to join the challenge at Passionately Artistic site...   You might even will a prize...

Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
