Today over at Studio L3 Linda has said to make a Watch.... a la Tim Style...
So I went to page 35 and even though I have made about 6 of these I read the page... just to make sure I was going to do it correctly... I love these watches... everyone in our family got one at Christmas in their stocking... LOL.. they were fun to make and everyone has it in a special place...
Today I wanted to make something for my sweet hubby for Fathers day... and so I did the watch with a picture of him and his BOYZ... his boyz as we called them were two Belgium draft horses that he used for logging when we lived in the Northeastern part of the USA... The Horses names were Pinkie and Tony... they were not a 'matched' pair but they were truly brothers in so many ways....
We had to have Tony put down and for over a week Pinkie whinnied and had tears running down his face for a long time...
So these two 'babies' called the BOYZ were truly brothers and so much a part to our lives... Pinkie moved with us from NJ to NC... he was a very special horse and finally spent his last days here on our farm... He was always willing to go the extra mile for Glenn... and so what needed to be done...
SOoooo I felt that I had to do a page in honor of these two BOYZ in my large journal... so this is it...
I used all kinds of special papers on the background that have very deep meanings for us... the magnolia paper is in memory of the magnolia tree that my hubby planted for me on my first Mothers Day .... I sat in the kitchen nursing our dear little daughter as he planted it!!! When we left NJ it was the only thing that I felt we really left behind... my magnolia tree...
The Sheet Music might seem odd... but when you hear the horses coming our road to our house it was music to my ears... for many reasons... I knew that Glenn was coming home, and also our son who was at that time logging with his Dad... and also that the boyz would get a mid day snack... they LOVED carrots.. and I always had an extra 1 pound bag for them... Each horse was over 2300 pounds each... so they made a one pound bag seem like nothing... LOL...
ENJOY THE JOURNEY stamp... I had to use this ... as we use to take the horses for a 'walk' once in a while... we would get onto the backs of them and ride for hours... it was like riding on a sofa... we didn't have saddles, as you didn't need them... these boyz didn't go fast when they had us on their backs... it was a slow and easy walk...
The memories of them is very fond... and we both miss them greatly... someday maybe we will have another pair of horses that will help with chores around the farm...
Keeping our options open... and hearts open until we get another pair...
The 'diamonds' above their heads in the watch... is to say that they were precious spirits that were with us for as long as we owned them... they were part of our family and loved by all that saw them... they loved to par take in parades, special events and loved to have kids put on their backs so that the parents could take pictures... they were truly Gentle Giants in all ways... If you look closely at the picture you will notice that my hubby looks very short next to these horses... he is 6 foot tall... so you can see how LARGE these two boyz are!!! Gentle Giants plus... in all ways...
Hey... thanks for stopping by today... and also for all the lovely comments and e-mails that ya'll have been sending... I love them all... I can answer the e-mails... but not the comments... dial up is slower than ever... about ready to drive us over the edges... LOL...
Have a great week-end... I am teaching a class tomorrow and am excited about it... I love to share new techniques and ways to play with others...

A Garden Alive
A good friend of mine knows that I LOVE to journal... and sent me this site where there is a journal challenge... wow... I love it... just my cup of tea ....
Love to try techniques and this is it!!!
Called ART JOURNAL CAFE'.... so I copied down the directions... and then started to play... actually we had to finish hanging up the garlic that we harvested a few days ago... it really is so very beautiful... if you want to see it... go here You can also see other pictures of our farm there too... Anyway... it smells really good with all this garlic hanging now... it will be dry in a few days.. but I am really loving 'having' to use all the bulbs that didn't have long stems etc... we are having a huge platter or roasted garlic tonight... so good for the immune!!!
I am sorry I get so carried away with chit chat.... but wanted to share...
So this challenge...
Because I started with another new journal... this time an old composition book... I had started to write in this book about 9 years ago... and then went into another direction... so it needed some pictures... LOL.. I used some gesso on the pages... and then started to stamp... using stamps from 4 different sets of Tim Holtz's stamps... and then I tore up a couple of pieces of FAVORITE paper... and glued them into place... Love the look so far... then I used quite a few acrylic paints ( actually dabbers) and then started to stencil... Having to leave a CLEAR area was very difficult for me... but a good meditation... Thanks...
I loved this so far.. then we had to add another layer of acrylic to tie it all in together... which I did that too... I love these dabbers... great thing...
I did them on side and then flipped the stencil to get the reverse... love it... waste not, want not... Love it ...
Okay... now came the hardest part... which embellishments to use ????
Well I decided that it looked like a GARDEN... so I wanted to make it come alive a little more... so I added some flowers from Pretties by Bonnie
and also a little faerie.... he just needed to come along to this page to make the garden come alive in all ways...
I dont use much paper... even though I have way more than I will EVER use... but Tim paper!!! oh My Goodness... I actually have used two pieces of it this week...
I love the numbers... so I picked my favorite number 6.... well 312 totals to 6!!! right??? and then I added a few tickets...
Up in the left hand corner is the 'sun' which is tea bag folding... which I also love to do... don't find much time for it anymore... but wanted to, today...
The orange paper with the flowers... I must have made that about 6 years ago... but I am trying very hard to use up my stash... I doubt I ever will... but I can try right???
I really enjoyed this challenge... and love the layers...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... I really had fun with this challenge and hope you will take a look at the site.. it is really a very wonderful site... Thanks so much Grace for sending me the link..
Have a super GREAT day...

Among the Violets
It's all about TEXTURE today over at Simon Says Stamp and Show...
SOOOOOoooooo with that in mind I create a small collage of items that I LOVE... I love this background paper from Tim Holtz... since I use to work in NYC and only a few blocks from Times Square it really screams at me.... so I have been hoarding this piece of paper and decided to use it today...
Then I had this adorable little picture of two little faeries that has been sitting on my work table ... and put that onto it too...
A block print from one that I made a couple of years ago found it's way to the top of the work table... and so did this flourish... do you have a bin where you keep things that you have cut out and not used... well at time these things find their way to the top of the heap and then onto the work table... like they have legs!!!! it was white, so I colored it... and added it as a green bough.... and added some violets...
Of course the Violets are a natural home for all faeries so I had to add them... and added some leaves, which is where the faeries can make a wonderful home underneath them... the violets are also from Pretties by Bonnie collection that will be released soon...
This is very textured... with all the layers... but then I added a bow and also added liquid pearls in the centers of the flowers... I colored my flowers with my Distress markers... do you have them yet??? I really don't know how I lived without them...
I use them more than any other marker set I have... as I know the colors, love the colors and find them most useful for all my creations...
I think I might use this as a cover for a journal...as a gift... but not really sure what I will use it for... I love it anyway... and it will find a good home...
Thanks for the inspiration... Simon Says Stamp and Show
Hope you have a nice day... we are doing rain dances all day long... we are loosing our crops... not a fun thing at all... very sad... so please ask the rain makers to come and rain on western NC.... Thanks... Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and for all the great comments that you leave me... I love you all...

The Big Day is HERE.... Top Secret!!!
We left off with my little story that Alice was asking every one if they knew what the top secret was that the White Rabbit was carrying around...
As it continues... Deep in the Forest... on the other side of WONDERLAND... .
A letter was being delivered...
The Foot man from the Red Queen looked so much like a Fish to Alice... and the doorman for the Dutches looked so much like a FROG???
Alice wasn't here though at this time... and the invitation was delivered...
At the top of this page ... You will notice a postage stamp of ALICE... and this is from Stamp Attack... I have been playing and creating with these stamps now for a few weeks.. and I LOVE them... I hope you will check back each week to see what I have created with them... and also what all my team members have created too... I love these stamps... what fun this is going to be..
Another stamp from Stamp Attack... the Wonderland 1865 Postage stamp...
This is where the TRUE Top Secret is... in this little tiny envelope...
What ever can it be... ????
Oh My Goodness.... I have been invited to be on the Altered ALICE Design Team....
And I totally except this gracious offer... I am very excited to be on such a wonderfully creative and GREAT team of Artistic gals...
Well.. the secret is let out... and I am excited to not only be on this great team... but also to be able to share with ya'll the creations that I make...
The Fish-Footman began by producing from under his arm a great letter, nearly as large as himself, and this he handed over to the other, saying, in a solemn tone, `For the Duchess. An invitation from the Queen to play croquet.' The Frog-Footman repeated, in the same solemn tone, only changing the order of the words a little, `From the Queen. An invitation for the Duchess to play croquet.'
Then they both bowed low, and their curls got entangled together.
--Chapter 6, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Just like the
Queen's letter to the Duchess, our challenge this month is to create something
with a postal theme - stamps, postcards, letters, envelopes; however you
choose to interpret that. As always, all entries that meet the challenge theme
are accepted but Wonderland entries are encouraged (they get two chances instead
of one in the prize drawing). Friday, June 22 is the last day to enter this
month's challenge.
Our sponsor
is Stamp Attack, a British company that is well known (among
other things) for their fantastic Alice stamp plates which have sold to customers all
over the world. In fact, Helena Bonham Carter, the actress who played the
Red Queen in the Tim Burton Alice movie, purchased sets of Alice stamps from
Stamp Attack, which were then delivered to the studio! Enabler alert: Stamp
Attack offers speedy worldwide shipping for only £1 on unmounted stamp orders,
so go on and check out their beautiful stamps!
The winner will
receive a Stamp Attack gift certificate for £13.50, which is equivalent to
one of the Alice stamp plates! We will be showing off two new offerings from Stamp Attack: Alice Faux Postage and Mouses
Tail, aren't they great?

Thanks for stopping by... hope to see you soon... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie
June Giggles
Happy Saturday!!! Yikes where does time go... is it flying or what!!!Anyway... here it is JUNE... and Tim's 2012 Tag is ready to be seen!!! Love all the things on this tag... and I really had a blast doing all of it...
For all the details and techniques for this tag you can go to Tim's site... but for mine you can see that I have followed all the basic steps. . . . .
and then the party started... I used all kinds of ideology and things for my embellishments... and what fun it was too...
I even stapled a butterfly left over from a challenge yesterday with Studio L3....
The tab I made and put the number 8 on it... as I was only 8 months old when this picture was taken of me... My Dad was in the Philippines during WWII and my Mom and I were living with her parents in Connecticut...
And the saying under this...
the journey awakens the soul... is so very very true for me... so I had to put that under this picture....
I used pink and yellow on the picture as tints... and it really looks a lot better in real life than in this photo of the photo... LOL... but I am sure you get the general idea of the whole tag...
I will use it in my tag book for ME...
I have always been a person that giggles, laughs and enjoys life... so the tag is me too... I even used some chit cat words... on the tag.. had fun... and hope that you will take a look at this challenge and join in... The flowers I embossed with all different colors... it is a pretty posey...
Have a super nice day... it is chilly here now!!! And I am totally enjoying it... might even sit in the sun a little today... so enjoy your day too... and see you tomorrow... thanks for stopping by for a visit...

Happy FRIDAY!!! I know that so many people are thankful it is FRIDAY... YEAH!!! It is here ... I am glad too... as Studio L3 always puts Linda to the task of creating a challenge!!!! This week it is an easy one for me, and also a good one... as I will be able to share this with some of my class next week... June 9th... check it out HERE
I do so get carried away with words!!! Excuse me but that is just the way I am... LOL..
As you can see I had to take my butterflies to the next step and make them 3D too... LOVE IT... what a fun technique... have you tried it yet...
Create it... put it on your blog and share it with all of us...
This really should be called a
3D card... as everything is almost 3 D on it... I even used Liquid pearls on the center of the Brown eyed Susan... and of course I also layered it...
Hope you are having a good day... we are going to be doing a lot of rain dances over the week-end... we need rain !!!
A LOT OF IT TOO... so I guess I will be getting my exercise this week-end... LOL...
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... and create something wonderful today... Love, Light and Peace... Bonnie

I also used a Pretties by Bonnie flower from the DYNOMITE Daisy Collection... and a little faerie from a magazine... love it...
Linda always seems to be reading my mind about things that I need to do... so this Challenge was truly perfect for me today...

Background papers
I just needed to unwind so I tore a piece of paper in half and started to ink them up... using some stencils, new inks, new stencils, and just had a lot of fun... I love just playing for the heck of it...
I have a bin near where I sit in the studio, and it is filled with all kinds of papers that I have made and will find a home for them all... I don't throw out too many pieces of paper at all... very little in fact... tiny scraps...
Anyway.. unwinding is special...
Hope you had a fun day... and that you find your art enjoyable in all ways... See you soon... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

A Little of this and that
Sometimes we have to compromise and create one item for a couple of reasons!!! And that is really what this turned out to be... I needed to create something for SIMON SAYS STAMP AND SHOW which the challenge this week is something for HIM... !!! Well that is a good challenge for me... as I always have a hard time creating for the hims in my life... I have four that I am always looking for ideas to create something special
for...
Okay... so that is #1 project...
Then I am teaching a class on June 9th (click here for details ) and needed a few more samples... as I love to take a lot of ideas to class... so this project can and will be one of the items...
Last year at Christmas time, I decided that I was going to make a few gifts each month and that way I would not be swamped in November and December and could teach longer into the season...
So this had to be a gift for one of my HIM's on my list...
I started to think and finally came up with the idea to make a metal box... I love making these... it is not the first one... and will not be the last one..
I used a lot of embossing folders...and had a blast deciding which ones to use...
Black alcohol ink and a little metal and two sheets of paper and I had a wonderful little box... with all three things crossed off my list...
I think you can most likely recognize the embossing folders that I have used... and then I cut them all up...
To create on awesome box for ???? oh well... if I tell you they will see who it is for and it will not be a surprise...
LOL..
I hope that you have had a nice 4 day week-end... to all the people in the USA and that you are all ready for a fun filled week...
I know that I am... I even got my studio cleaned up and organized... and I LOVE it... of course I always say that after a major move of STUFF..... but this time I have all my medias together... all my stamp pads, inks, re-inkers, markers, misters etc etc... all within an arms reach... even my oil pastels... had to find them so I could put them out... LOL.. talk about obsessing... I love it...
Well have a fun week... see you tomorrow most likely...
and thanks for stopping by for a visit...

Bliss
Being that this is a holiday week-end in the USA and everyone seems to be so very engrossed in celebrating I decided to do some of my own celebrating for ME!!! I became totally involved with my paints, and all kinds of things, like markers, crayons, inks, sprays ... you name it ... it is and has been used and totally enjoyed... the other day I created a piece of paper and then even revamped it into my journal... which I will show ya'll at a later date... but wanted to share this with you today... but I used the same technique as Challenge 7 at Studio L3 which was to use a technique from Tim Holtz's book of techniques...called brushless.... so that was the beginning... of the page... I did make my own leaf stamps to use... (an interesting note is that after I finished the entire pages and flipped to the next section of my journal... I had leaves already to go for the next page... LOL.. the color distress that I used had gone right thru the page... LOVE IT... so now I have to think of something to use that for... not a difficult thing for me... right??? )and then started to blend in different colors... finally using that new color of Squeezed Lemonade.. I could go for some right now... it has been rather hot down here in the Carolinas and lemonade is a must ... but I settled for some sweet cantalope that we grew last year... I am trying to empty out the freezer... the winter is over and now we need to use up the tail end of all the foods... getting ready for all the NEW foods that are TRYING to grow... we are again in a severe drought... Another Rain dance might be in order...
Anyway....
I drew some flowers, and painted them... and then upon rising this morning I had to check out Sunday Stamper challenge with Hels Sheridan and saw that her challenge was to use a word... I would do that after I finished this page section in my journal.....
so I went to work to finish this piece... and it needed something else... so I drew some leaves with my distress markers... and it still needed something else...
So I started to add some words... and thoughts started to flood my mind.. and I had to write them all down... why can't I just write ONE word and be done!!!
Well that is not my style is it???
I love words... to use them on creations... to speak them... to WRITE them...
and just use them all the time... At the same time I started to think about the day....
And had to add the feeling of looking out from all these wonderful flowers...
I hope you add some flowers to your creations... I have a lot of digital flowers in my collections on Pretties by Bonnie
Hope you will take a look and see which flowers you need in your collections... digitals are so easy to use and you can get so many different looks with just ONE flower... and size too...
I had to add ONE more word... as it was the feeling that I totally had when I finished creating this piece and it was bliss...
So I grabbed a Ideology tag and clip to attach to this page in my journal... as it was PERFECT ending to the pages...
I used a lot of things... but generally all things that were on my work space... LOL... it is a mess in my studio right now... not usually like this at all.. maybe that is why I am so free to draw and color...
I really had fun with this piece... and let it all go to create this... will do somemore of this later on... might even try my hand at cleaning a little bit today... not my studio... the rest of the house is in need of some loving care too...
Live in Bliss... Create ART.... Play... Live life... Embrace each moment.... Enjoy color.... Love self... give yourself a time to be alone and create what YOU desire... let it all hang out... and be free with your hand...
Hope that you have a GREAT week-end... and thanks for stopping by for a visit... see you again soon...

Long Notes
I had to make this into a LONG pad... I had just some paper to make a journal... and had all the misc pieces left over... I usually put them into my white paper scrap bin... to use for punching etc... but instead I punched them with my binder, and made a LONG NOTE pad... put a daisy and some leaves on it ...and it is finished...
The Daisy and the leaves were sitting on my work area, so I used them... the leaves... I love to make my own stamps using all different kinds of things... these were made from a pink eraser that I cut to make these great leaves... then I wanted something a little different, so I used a coffee ink to print them...
You can see that both are simple designs... and yet make quite a nice Long Note pad... it is only about 2.5 inches wide and is 8.5 long... what fun...
It can go into a gift bag real easily and my scrap is used in a good way...
Thanks for stopping by today... and hope that you have a creative day yourself... I am going to go be creative in my closet... and get rid of old clothes... and clean it all up... need to feel free of old things......
