Another Square for the Quilt... yikes.. I love doing these ...just wish that I could spend all my time making this quilt... but I do have other things that are also just as important in my life... LOL...
This square I used all different things... I used a Liquid Pearl to draw the flower first!!! And then colored in behind that... some of the colors ran... and that was fun too... I used a lot of liquid pearls, dimensional pearls and also stickles to accent this piece... each piece is going to be entirely different.. so that is one of the FUN parts of this whole project... I can hardly wait to see what it is going to look like when it is all finished... I have not idea yet what it will be like... hopefully a wonderfully fancyfull quilt...
In this picture you can see the pearls a little better... so much fun...
Hope you have a fun day creating too...

Lambing ... continued
Well as the story continues from the other day......
Sande and I pulled up and got into the 4x4 Kubota and zipped out into the pasture to miss by seconds the baby dropping from it's mom... but that is okay... as we got to see the rest of the process... I have seen babies being born prior... so that was okay... BUT I did want to treat this little baby as special, as it was the first the baby LAMB I have seen being born...
So this is how I created a special page for this little one... (March 3 I will share the entire book... it takes a while for me to get all the pictures up... so sorry... )
So I used a Sizzix embossing folder and created the front panel... and then used different Distress colors and mists on the paper to get a really lovely look... The flowers are very layered... and then I trimmed this out with BLACK...
and of course made it a panel that opens... and this is what you see...
I had to share this PRECIOUS picture of the baby... as it is just a few minutes old... the other baby that you see laying down is about 30 minutes old at this point...
The Mother is now anxious to get them moved and into a safer area... all the NEW MOMS are put together with their babies...
The top folder... made from K&Co paper and a Martha Punch... holds this tag..
I used the pine tree embossing folder and then a few different Distress inks to color the tag... then put the New MOMS with their precious ones under the trees... as there are pine tress all over the farm...
Here is the picture of about 4 minutes after this baby was dropped... (born) the other Mom's in waiting are looking at all that is going on...
(I used another embossing folder on this side of the tag... and colored it with more Distress inks... do you think I like them??? Wrong... I LOVE THESE inks... LOL... so easy to use and the colors fit my needs too...
Well... that is a special moment in my week... and I think it will be for quite some time... seeing babies being born of any kind is always a SPECIAL happening... New LIFE is wonderful... as is each and everyone of our lives... all very special in our own unique ways...
This section of this book is for Stamper Sunday and for Simon Says Stamp and Show...
Check out these blogs and see all the pretties that have been made for these same themes...
Thanks for stopping in... and now back to uploading more pics for you to see more of this book...

Lambing season is upon us...
The other day one of our neighbors invited us over to see the "lambing" at their farm... so over we went... Sande was here and so I insisted that she come too... how many times in your life time do you get to see precious things....??? So over we went... and got into the 4x4 to view the babies... we got there and one of the mom's had just dropped one... how exciting is that...
I will show you those pictures tomorrow... as this is for the front of a present that I made this couple... You see to me this was a very beautiful thing... New LIFE always is SPECIAL... but this couple has taken their off time from working to create a really beautiful foot print on the earth... They have taken land and planted beautiful grasses for the lambs and sheep to graze on... and oh yes... mules/donkeys and 17 plus dogs!!! That watch over the sheep... as we have a lot of critters that love to eat anything... coyotes, possessum, raccoon, fox, cougar, etc etc... you get the idea... so these dogs are something else to watch...
Anyway... I am so sorry that I get so carried away with my thoughts... but because of this, I made a book, at match book and also a tag... today you are seeing the tag... and tomorrow a page from the book... wish I could get things up faster... but the dial up is another whole story and I dont' need to go there today...
This tag is for a few challenges too... one is for Sunday Stamper... Hels asked that we do LIFE... well that is what I did... New LIFE... You will see more of this exciting event tomorrow...
Also... Simon Says Stamp and Show asked that we use IDEA-OLOGY... and hey... I did... A key that says DREAM... as this farm is a dream of their's and also a dream to be on... really a wonderful place... so glad that they are such good neighbors... So back to the challenges... I will reflect these same themes over the next few days... as it is spring here... and LIFE is happening all around us... Our plum trees are blooming... !!! And I have a bouquet of daffodils on my work table!!! How special is that...
So for this tag... (I do get carried away...) I cut the word DREAM out... using a Tim Die Cut... and then went to town creating the background...
As you can see the background is really wild and rough... I used a lot of colors... and they were 'lifted' off with the Utee ultra thick embossing ... but that didn't bother me... I added some more... very very lightly.. I wanted a delicate background... then added some Vintage Photo and a picture of Steve... and then the ribbon (seam Binding ) up top... along with a flower... that I made of course...
I added the key and used a chain and pin to attach them to the bows... At the very bottom I used Tissue to create the ruffle and then topped it off with a bow from Seam binding...
Not really elaborate.. but this is for the top of a present... that I want to really stand out... FUN stuff...
Thanks for stopping by today... and I hope that you have had a nice day... I have... and am not starting to get my classes done for the spring season... still a lot more work... but fun!!!
See you tomorrow... hopefully I will see YOU tomorrow...

A little house for another bird friend
Victoria is always bringing me over GREAT things that she finds at the dollar store or for a dollar... this is one that she found and I didnt' get around to decorating it until this year... I love it... and it is right next to the other one... (previously posted) I used vintage type papers on it... and then added some vintage type flowers... and added a Martha Stewart roof... LOL..
The papers are from three different pads of paper... and I love the way that they all sort of blend and create a home for a little friend...
Flowers adorn the roof and the little twig and bird filigree will be enjoyed by the home owners... I am sure...
LOL.... I colored the roof with coffee archival inks... what else... Ranger lives here...
WEll... have a fun spring... my office is all decorated for the season.. and hope that I have some bird friends move into the new houses.. .
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Bird Book
As promised I have a few of the pages from the bird book here... I used a lot of different techniques on each page... but one of the favorites at this time is the alcohol ink release technique... so I have a lot of them to show you...
I used a lot of Tim's Die cuts and bird stamps and dies of all kinds... actually I spent quite a bit of time gathering them all up and then I started to play... the pages were filled in no time... actually way shorter than I wanted to be done with this fun little book... the house that it stays in I put up yesterday... so if you missed it... please take a look see...
I used flowers of all kinds... and loved making them of course...
I added tissue tape ruffles, and lace and stamped where I needed and wanted too... I had a lot of fun to say the least...
I used two huge 2 inch rings to bind these pages together... the book is about 5 inches tall and about 4 inches wide...
I made all the background papers... of course with my distress inks, and worksheet... I did dry emboss some... but generally just used the inks...
I did use some regular papers and then collage some too... but always had to add some plastic sheets with some birds on them... LOL... love making these and using them is just as much fun...
I used some of Tim's charms and also dies for some of the pages... and notice the little tabs... love that die... I love the tabs.. so vintage of my school days... yikes... I am really dating my self... LOL..
Here is a huge sheet of plastic... dont' you love it... wow... I love that technique... if you haven't tried it... DO... you will be hooked...
I also had to add a little bird that I drew for Pretties by Bonnie
and also used some leaves and seam binding too... the background is a punched piece using a corner punch by Fiskars...
I saved this for last... my very favorite page... I made the little bird with shrink plastic... and then glued it onto a charm!!! How cute is that... I LOVE it.... birds are really a love of mine in so many ways... I love watching them and they are always so busy around our home... and farm... we have bird houses all over the place... even a bat house and owl homes... three of them in fact... the squirrels took over one of the owl houses... and turned it into a condo!!!
Oh well we all have to make adjustments when we can...
Hope you have enjoyed this book... and also the day... be creative in all ways... even if it is to cook a favorite meal... add some parsley on the top.... be creative .... love it...

A Little Birdy told me to make this!!
Spring is here one minute and then winter blows in for a few days... so I thought I had better help the little birds a little bit and build this house... so My friend Sande and I spent a Sunday morning making this one... I love it...
I had to add a few things over the past week or so... and it might still get a few additions yet??? You never know...
Anyway... this one has book inside of it... I will show you that later.... maybe tomorrow I can get it up on line... there are a lot of pictures... and each picture takes me about 10 minutes to up load...
Dial up is so wonderful... I am trying to be POSITIVE about this situation...
I put ribbon braiding around the little opening... and I think I need a bird for the perch too... but I will find the right one someday...
A little bit closer look at the braiding... I love doing this butterfly stitich... so very elegant and pretty... and not that difficult... If I had the ability to video and get it up on line, I would show you... it is not hard to do...
Thanks to another good Friend... Victoria, who brought this bird to me just at the right time... I colored it baby blue for the blue bird of happiness... and then added tons of flowers under him on the roof... I used all kinds of flowers... some from baby wipes, old silk flowers, paper flowers, you name it... they are on there...
Is this bird perfect of what... ??? I love it...
So happy on the roof too... maybe someday it will throw the book out and and nest inside the house!!!!
On the other side of the roof...
Speaking of the roof... lift it off and you see the book!!!
The inside of the house is lined too... and the pattern for this house I made too... I used 6x6 papers... and they are from a few different pads and kinds of paper... one is Prima and then also My Minds EYE...
So hope that you make your spring arrive a little bit faster and build a house for your birds.. LOL... it is coming here soon.. the daffodils have been up for over two weeks now... and they are so pretty... also very weird that they are up this early!!!
Thanks for stopping by... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Recycle your things
Okay... Grungy Monday has really gotten me going this week... LOL.. here is another project... I made this to wear... and have not wore it yet!!!
I made it from a piece of plastic from a Spellbinder folder... that plastic is so very thick that I don't like putting it into the land fill at all.. it is great though for project using Tim's resist with alcohol inks... LOVE IT... both the inks, the technique and the necklace .... LOL...
anyway... I used a large Fiskar stamp that I had gotten at the $1.00 store... and then a few inks on the felt blender... and then added some copper around the edges, and then a few corners...
And a few beads on the bottom of the piece...
I used a piece of vintage clip art in the center of the 'frame'....
I sanded off the corners to bring the copper out in them...
And using my Distress embossing powders, I colored the idea-ology as you can see... what fun I have ...
Maybe I will be able to wear this with my new blouse!!!
What do you think...
Well... thanks for stopping by... and hope to see you tomorrow...
You never know what you are going to see here... do you???

Another NEW project started
Grungy Monday this week Linda asked that we make
something to wear... well... I had just started to make a new blouse... I use to
make all my own clothes and stopped a few years ago... as I didnt' have the time to do everything I wanted to do..
Anyway... not that the clock has changed... but I am trying to manage my time a little bit differently... LOL... like doing more art work!!! Anyway...
I thought about adding some of "ME" to the blouse... and so I started to paint some flowers on it... I started off by mixing some Distress Re-inkers and got this really pretty shade of pink... and then found my Adirondack markers and went to town on the details... The rest you can see here...
ENJOY....
Tim's Line of ink colors is wonderful... but I can make millions of colors by mixing too...
I can hardly wait to get my Distress Markers.. I know that I will go literally wild with them... my sweet hubby is a little worried that everything in the house will be attacked when they arrive.... LOL... and he is so very right... what fun they will be...
The rest of the pictures are of the right side of the blouse and this is the right Sleeve...
I still have to add more, but have to move onto another project that really needs my attention NOW... deadline by March 9th... I will fill you in on details as this all becomes a little more final...
Anyway... it is starting to shape up... isn't it???
I am going to love wearing it...
The fabric has a slight white on white design... little tiny squares and they really add another dimension to the flowers and leaves... love it...
Hope that you have a fun day... thanks for stopping by for a visit... and hope to see you tomorrow... ooops ... running short of time...

Daisies are my FAVORITE flower
I LOVE Daisies... they are my very favorite flower ever... I do love all... but this has to be the best ever flower.... I have all these petals free flowing... and you can pick each one up... the stem is sewn down... and the stamping of the other daisies is done with a Dabber... How neat is that... ????
Of course the back ground is made with my Distress Inks... and I also added some Perfect Pearls powders... so it is glittery... love it..
I also used some dimensional Pearls on the center of the flower... and then detailed the petals with some of the green inks... I mixed a few to get the color I wanted for this...
In the center of the stamped daisies, I have used some Antique Linen Distress Stickles... and it really gives a little bit more glittery look...
This week on Grungy Monday, Linda has asked that we do something that we can wear... Well Linda, I can't wear this... but my Windows are going to be wearing these... if you check on a few of the last couple of days, you can see some of the other squares for this wild quilt... each one is 22 inches square and they will then be quilted and then turned into a massive quilt for the French doors in my studio... I am using different things around the farm as the themes of the squares... I hope that this is exceptable for this challenge!!! I am really enjoying using all my Ranger products for this quilt... I was never so excited to realize that I could use them in ways other than for paper... I found all kinds of info on the Ranger site for this... and am totally excited... Of course I am using all of the Tim Holtz line of Distress inks, reinkers, stains and stickles... LOVE THEM all... but now to find out that I can use them safely on fabrics!!! WOW... what a deal...
I hope to get my blouse done today... as I made a white large blouse to wear at a class... as I am going to share this with a lot of people... as I am so excited... My blouse will have flowers on it.. that much I know... so hopefully I will get that done this week too... I am taking a lot of time out these past few weeks... as I am having to plan all my classes for the coming season... so that takes a lot of thinking, doing and making of samples... LOL... what a heart breaker... right??? Having to spend so much time playing!!!
I will share... dont' worry..
Have a good one today... and hope you are able to play all day long... play for me.. .I have to go food shopping... and since we have to go up the mountain to do that... we stop at all kinds of places while we are out... as we don't go up there that often in a month... only a couple of times... living way out in the middle of no where is great... but when we go out.... we GO OUT for the day!!! Makes less time to play in the course of a day... boo hoo... I know that you are upset for me... but I will be back tomorrow... I have a few things to share...
Thanks for stopping by...
And I hope you like the way that the quilt is coming along...

Sewing is FUN
I have to start off today by saying that I dont' throw out too many pieces of paper that I have put ink onto... LOL... I am so silly about that ... I know I will use it sometime... well this is one of those 'mistakes' and I loved the colors.. so just because it had a huge 'dribble' in the center I didn't use it for the original piece... but it is wonderful here... I took the paper and put it thru the embossing folder... I think it is called Kassies by Cuttlebug??? Not really sure... then I used three different inks on the edges... and one distress stain... and then I misted with a Perfect Pearls... and then I sat and LOVED it... oh now to cover it all up??? Such a shame... Oh well back to work on this tag...
I sort of knew that the Sunday Stamper theme was sewing... and so I started to cut out some sewing Vintage Clip art... and then I started to ink more papers... and all of a sudden my hubby asked it we were going to have dinner... how about lunch??? Oh talk about blonde moments??? I had spent the entire day making backgrounds.... this is all your FAULT Hels... every single bit of it... LOL... Anyway.. .I had a blast... I would cover the paper in all different ways, then dry it... and then run it thru an embossing folder.. so I have tons of new backgrounds now to play with... what a fun day... what a way also to spend a rainy Sunday... I missed lunch and really didn't mind it... thank goodness Glenn does his own thing when I get absorbed in my art... love it...
Okay... so as you can see, I built a fence BOX... that holds all the goodies that I wanted to store in there...
I also attached an easel so that the tag would stand up and everything would not come tumbling out... how fun is that... I used the Small Easel Die cut from Tim's line of fun die cuts... take a look at them ... and have fun with them too...
Here is all the sewing things that are in the fence Box... scissors, pattern, needles, and hook and eyes... some people I am sure don't even know what they are... but I do... I didn't say that did I???
Anyway... all go into the box...
I used the Dress form Mini die cut for this... and then put the vintage slip onto it... I was surprised that the first time I actually got the right size on the slip... that is really hard to do... I did have to shorten it at the waist... but the rest was the right size...
The dress form was cut out in Sticky back canvas and then distressed and then colored with a few distress inks... how cute... love this whole fun tag... of course when I say it took me all day to do... it is the truth.. but I did a lot of other things in between... but I have to say that there was nothing that I had planned that I did do!!! AT ALL....
I was actually going to paint on a few squares for my quilt... but never got around to it... so thanks Hels... for taking my mind and sending it in another direction.... LOL.. .
Okay... I used a few old baby wipes and created my flowers... and then added a few stamen in the centers...
Here is a closer look at the sewing that has already been finished and is hanging up... how fancy HUH???
I thank you for stopping by.. and thanks again Hels for a fun Sunday of stamping??? or playing with paints and sprays, and inks and messy fingers and hands... loved every minute of it... 100% ...
Hope you have a fun day today... Love, Light and Peace...Bonnie

Sunflowers
Another square for my quilt... if you are just seeing these squares for the first time... I am making a quilt to cover two very large glass areas... one is French doors in my studio and the other is in our den that goes out to the deck... they both need something to help keep the night time coolness out... even though we live in the south... we do get chilly nights... and sometimes even see the white stuff... (I try not to use 4 letter words that are bad... so you will have to think....LOL)
Anyway the squares are 22 inches square and I am using all my Ranger inks to create the colors... on this one I used some of the reinkers of Distress Inks on the tie died style background... and then I created the Sunflowers... all the squares are to have something to do also with our farm... so since we grow very tall sunflowers I thought it would be appropriate to have a sunflower Square.... I am using muslin only for the fabric at this point... but might add some felted wool too... ???? Not really there yet..
I Love this piece as it is really a fun one... the colors are bright and I can remember the 15 foot sunflowers swaying in the summer skies... so very beautiful....
I will try and take a picture of them this summer and put it on the farm blog... I also need to up date this blog... but hey.. first things first... LOL...
I wanted to show some depth on these pretties... so I added some Liquid Pearls to the center of the flowers... what fun I had...
You can see them a little bit better in this picture... I also used some dyed seam binding... as I wanted to show some of the other plants that live with these sunflowers... there are all kinds of vines that choose to grow up the plants... they are just as important...
We use the sunflower seeds to feed the chickens... and also used the entire plant left for mulch on plants that were going to over winter... like garlic and shallots... which are starting to show their green tops and grow now...
This week Sunday Stamper has sewing as the theme... and I think that this also passes for that challenge... ??? YES??? I know I will most likely play with some paper today too... but you never know... I might paint again???
See you tomorrow... and I hope that you enjoyed this slight change in media... Check back on other days to see other pieces of this quilt... I think I have only done a couple... enjoy your day... and have fun...
